This family comedy didn't git er done! It's a lump of coal that looks like it might warm your heart, but instead, it was coal hearted.

Warning: Spoilers
I think this movie was trying to fail. I felt like it wanted to make a Booster; instead of Turbo Man! No one wants to see Booster! What were you thinking WWE & Fox Studios!? Keep it, nearly the same as the original. 1996's Jingle All the Way is a personal childhood movie favorite of mine. My family and I, watched it, nearly every Christmas and the jokes never get old. My admiration stems almost entirely from nostalgia, but even as an adult it still delivers mindless family entertainment. This supposedly sequel movie, sadly couldn't do the same. This is shameless cash grab. The first one wasn't actually a masterpiece, but all the satire that was present in the first did get lost on this terrible execution of a sequel. Directed by Alex Zamm, the movie has little to do with the original film. None of the original stars, are in it. No Arnold Schwartzenegger, Sinbad or Phil Hartman. It didn't even had mediocre, Jake Lloyd to star in it. In their place, the movie had one man carrying the project, by the name of Larry the Cable Guy AKA Daniel Whitney, a once really popular, gimmick comedian. It's clear by this time, that his one-act redneck gimmick has gotten old and not a lot of people really care for him. It's also clear that the washed up comedian couldn't act, so the screenwriter, Stephen Mazur just written the part to fit in with his gimmick. Jingle All the Way 2 stars Larry as - get this - a redneck named Larry. He's a divorced father of a young girl, Noel (Kennedi Clements). His ex-wife (Kirsten Robek) recently remarried a rich guy, Victor (Brian Stepanek). Instead of working together, both fathers are competing for Noel's affection, hoping to one up the other, to show whom can be the best father to Noel. Both, see it in gathering up the hottest toy of the year, Harrison Bear for her. I was kinda disappointing, by this, because it's been done as hell. Lot of tiresome clichés in here. I don't know why the movie have to do the stepfather is evil, clichés, because I like the portrayal of the happily divorced family. I hate that Victor turn out into a jerk in the end. It didn't need to. I like most of the supporting cast here. Clements is cute and adorable, but she does seem a bit, over cheery for mundane stuff like ice fishing. Kinda unrealistic, there. I don't know, many children that love, doing that. She was a decent enough, child actor. WWE wrestler Santino Marella AKA Anthony Carelli shows up sporadically without silly Italian accent as Larry's sidekick, Claude. Unfortunately, his throwaway part doesn't afford him any opportunities to showcase his comedic chops. The humor is mostly a miss than hit to the funny bone. The jokes that Larry the Guy has written for the film weren't very clever, and didn't really have much of a good punchline. One of the big things, I like about the original film is how, Arnold's character from the first film gets more angry and desperate as the movie goes on, due to the time limit of it being Christmas Eve. In this film, Larry the Guy has plenty of time, to look for the toy, but he lazy out, most of the time. He doesn't work as hard as the Arnold Schwartzenegger's character from the last movie. Having the hunt spread out over multiple days was a mistake. I like the intense mad-dash search on Christmas Eve, better. Also, I found the plot, very unrealistic. We live in a world of computers. Why didn't he just order it online? It could have gotten it to them on time and Victor couldn't do anything about it. I really find, it hard to believe that a single person is not only able to gather all of the inventory of a single store, but that he is able to do it to every store in town before anyone else? This is a stretch in bound of beliefs, here. Yes, the original had some unrealistic moments, but it was a lot more entertaining and realistic than this movie. The things that Larry finds himself in a variety of ridiculous situations in his desperate attempts to win the bear, isn't as crazy as that of Arnold's character. I was really hoping for more. The PG rating kinda hurts, how far can, they can take the craziest concept to. The slapstick is kinda funny. I didn't mind watching Larry the Guy getting hurt. It's by far, the best highlight of the film. It really didn't capture the whole Black Friday insanity, like the first movie did. It's low-brow entertainment, trying to get the attention of blue collar Americans. It's a love letter to them. Rich people are made, out to be jerks, and blue collars part time workers like Larry as always good. I hate how Larry says he never ask for a hand-out, yet earlier in the film, he panhandling himself dresses up as a homeless person in order to get a Harrison Bear from the local shelter. Wow, lame. The movie tries to have this message of rampant commercialism that has come to overtake the holiday season. In my opinion, this straight to video sequel seems to be a prime example of a bad corporate entity of the holiday. Overall: As Christmas movies go, this has got to be near the bottom. It's nowhere near the classics. Only watch, if you're really bored or have your mind turn off.

Should be called tinkle all the way........

I like goofy movies with little to no plot as long as they are funny and entertaining. Jingle All The Way original is a movie with it all so when I saw a number 2 I thought I have to see it, after all, how bad can it be with Larry The Cable Guy in it!! I will admit I have enjoyed most of his movies but there is a first for everything. This one was named appropriately, cause it smelled like number 2. The little girl was so close to a clone of the darling in the Miracle on 34th street remake but the cute factor couldn't save this special movie. Interesting how he drove past a totally wide open lake on his way to go ice fishing, must have been a long drive. The best part of this movie was the end, I don't mean the ending, rather the credits, yes it's that bad and as I said, I enjoy goofy movies and low budget creations, this one won't be a Christmas staple at our house. I was extra generous with the score of 3.

This is a real film people, it really happened.....,

Warning: Spoilers
Laid-back dad Larry is having an awful time finding the perfect Christmas gift for his eight- year-old daughter, Noel.

The season's hottest toy, The Harrison Bear, is all sold out, and Noel's new stepfather wants to keep it that way, so he can be the one to make her wish come true.

When Larry learns all Noel wants for Christmas is the bear, he'll stop at nothing to make his little girl happy and get her the toy of her dreams......

Jingle All The Way was lambasted when first released, the reviews were terrible, and it was released at a time when Arnie's Star power was dwindling rapidly. But nearly twenty years on, it's become staple viewing for lots of families over the holidays, because it's not really that bad, and Arnie gets a deer drunk.

This however is probably the most pointless sequels made since Hollow Man 2, and it has nothing to do with the original, apart from the last minute gift thing.

Larry The Cable Guy, wow, here in England is unknown, spends the entirety of the film feeling sorry for himself in a diner, his home, or the one toy shop in his town, whilst the rich step dad spends the entirety of the film being bitter and miserable.

They hate each other, but hey, it's Christmas, so let's smile through gritted teeth to each other.

Its a miserable film, blatantly cashing in on a Christmas favourite just to get people to watch it.

They may have well called it Scrooged 2, Fred Claus 2, because it doesn't really matter, the greedy studio couldn't care less...

Are there negative stars?? Like Anti-Stars
ikoopmommy5 December 2014
The best actor in this train wreck was the wrestler and Larry the cable guy wasn't even the worst actor in the film!

Never again. I should tell Redbox I want my free rental code back.

The entire movie...Larry is being forced to accept the fact his ex-wife remarried (ok, I get it) but they're also forcing to have Larry accept his daughter now has 2 dads?! Really!? Hate to tell you one is a father and one is a STEPfather. I don't know that just did not sit well with me.

I hated it. I can't stress enough. It was dull, boring, lacking. Had the whole entire plot pinned in about 5 minutes of the movie. I only laughed once.... and I don't even think the part was MEANT to be funny!

There are 2 types of people
brailsford3 December 2014
Those who loved Jingle all the Way and those who hated it.... finally they have something they can agree on... and that is that this movie was a train wreck that should have never happened. I personally loved the first one... it wasn't a great story but it had a charm to it, funny moments and over the top silliness.... This movie basically had a similar event involving a super popular toy, thats where the similarities end as any attempts at humor fell flat. WWE was the movie company behind this so its no surprise that no one in the movie made any effort to act (Much like in Leprechaun: Origin), I find it amazing that professional wrestlers are more convincing actors then the actors they get for their movies. I'm still wondering how after watching this movie Larry is considered a comedian, nothing he said in the film was funny, in fact a few of his jokes made an already unfunny scene... well... uncomfortable. Basically the plot is Larry is the dad of a girl whose mom married some other guy who has it out for him so there both trying to get this toy bear that records the person's name and says it. Then Larry (pretty lazily compared to Arnold) spends the majority of the movie doing stuff trying to get the toy. The big thing missing was direct cut throat competition though the way Arnold had with Sinbad, Brian Stepnek wasn't going head to head with Larry at all. The fact that Larry was divorced also left the whole conflict with an affair brewing the way their was in the original with Arnold's wife and Phil Hartmen. The attempts at over the top humor just weren't there and the movie was boring almost to the point of being a sleep aid. Anyway if your looking for a movie for really young kids, it has nothing really offensive in it (unless you consider a movie pretending to be a comedy and then turning out to be a tedious watch offensive)

This is a bad addition to the holiday genre that I would recommend skipping.
kevin_robbins31 December 2021
Jingle All the Way 2 (2014) is a movie I recently watched on Disney+. The storyline follows a single dad with joint custody of his daughter. His ex-wife has remarried to a very successful and rich husband. The stepdad goes way out of his way to make the daughter happy and impress her causing insecurities in her real dad. When the daughter writes a letter to Santa Claus both dads compete to get her the toy of her dreams.

This movie is directed by Alex Zamm (Inspector Gadget 2) and stars Larry the Cable Guy (Cars 1 & 2), Brian Stepanek (Green Book), Anthony Carelli (Miss Persona), Lauren K. Robek (Cats & Dogs) and Eric Breker (Godzilla).

The storyline for this had potential but wasn't executed particularly well. The characters were well established and set-up and the premise was sloppy. The sequences to obtain the toys weren't fun or entertaining. There are a few good zingers and one liners; but overall, not enough to carry the movie. I did like the conclusion and resolve of the film.

Overall this is a bad addition to the holiday genre that I would score a 3/10 and recommend skipping.

A film that's only merit is its consistent deplorability
StevePulaski3 December 2014
WWE Studios has had an abnormally prolific year, getting one of their films in theaters (Oculus), resulting in respectable box office numbers, and churning out three direct-to-DVD efforts, all of which sequels or some sort of continuation of another preexisting entity. In just a little over two months, WWE Studios has released a prequel to the Leprechaun franchise, a sequel to See No Evil, and, perhaps the strangest release in their catalog thus far, a sequel to the Arnold Schwarzenegger vehicle Jingle All the Way starring Larry the Cable Guy. One takes a look at the DVD cover art for the film and regards it with a certain disdain, as they see a thrown together, and slightly disturbing image of Larry the Cable Guy and Kennedi Clements, before cringing and, likely, passing by it with no further comment or thought. I simply couldn't leave it alone.

For starters, I always hear the complaint about some actors never leaving their comfort zone or sticking to being typecast in certain roles, like Michael Cera in the awkward schoolboy roles and Channing Tatum in the man-candy ones. However, home come few address Larry the Cable Guy's inability to be anyone besides his one-note joke character in films? He has found ways to appear in a Madea film, a sequel to The Rock's Tooth Fairy, and two Cars films, plus an abundance of short films, playing no one other than his redneck archetype and consistently showing how a cute idea descends into tedium if not properly carried out. My personal problem with Larry the Cable Guy is a newfound one, for I used to find him amusing, is the fact that he is a man entirely made out of a joke that has been stretched threadbare for years and it was a joke that wasn't worth more than momentary amusement.

Larry the Cable Guy plays none other than a character named Larry in Jingle All the Way 2, a ne'er-do-well father, who is desperately trying to be his daughter's favorite male figure now that, following what we can see was a fairly mild divorce brewed from minor inconvenience, Victor (Brian Stepanek), a wealthy businessman, has now entered in her life as her stepfather. Larry's daughter Noel (Kennedi Clements) is anticipating Christmas a lot this year because, judging from her private letter to Santa Claus, she wants a stuffed teddy bear named Harrison, which happens to be the season's hottest toy. Upon discovering this, Larry makes it his mission to not only give Noel a memorable Christmas but to find a Harrison Talking Bear, which proves difficult once Victor realizes his plan and begins to buy out each store's stock of Harrison bears.

The original Jingle All the Way was never a holiday favorite of mine, as it offput me with its materialistic mindset and massively contentious story given it's a Christmas film, but Jingle All the Way 2 finds ways to be even more offputting given its lack of any redeemable characters and ridiculously overblown story. As we constantly see Larry being beaten by Victor seconds after he acquired an entire store's lot of Harrison bears, we question why he doesn't just order the bear online or ask the store manager to reserve one for him. In addition, watching two grown men fight like children for ninety minutes does not make for a good film whatsoever. If we're not seeing Larry breathlessly race around and passive-aggressively speak with Victor, we must endure the same kind of jokes that Larry the Cable Guy has made a career out of making, only this time, set in the context of a Christmas film.

Jingle All the Way 2 isn't frustratingly bad, because, if you sit down to watch it, you've already questioned "why?" numerous times, regarding the film's production, existence, and thought-process, but it completely avoids any and all likability when you watch the year's frothiest ending conclude such an awful picture before your very eyes. If there's one thing Jingle All the Way 2 has going for it, at least it's consistently bad and has an ending that effectively lives up to the standards the film has set for itself.

Starring: Larry the Cable Guy, Brian Stepanek, Kennedi Clements, Santino Marella, and Kristen Robek. Directed by: Alex Zamm.

I did this for you all
MattBrady0993 December 2014
If I ever meet the prouder's or the people behind the making of this movie, I will Simpy grab them by their throats and say the last words their will hear when their still alive, "Now where is your Christmas spirit".

I have to admit that the first Jingle All the Way movie with good all Arnold in it was my biggest guilty pleasure of all time, yeah it was stupid and laughably bad but that's guilty Pleasure for you. So after watching this dick demon of hell, but then all my thoughts and opinion came together like metal and magnets; this movie is so god awful and so unbelievable to believe that this movie exists, that it made me respect the first one ever more, and least that had good lines and overall a better story then this garbage of a movie.

Just skip this horrid film, it's not worth breaking you're back to see, just skip it not like this unlucky soul.

Decently funny film, good for all ages
FlushingCaps29 December 2014
Warning: Spoilers
I happened upon this film this Christmas season and found it surprisingly funny. Now I will say that, dumb as parts of it were, I did enjoy the original with Arnold somewhat more than this one. But there were some funny scenes in this one, including some slapstick that will surely entertain young folks.

Here we have a man named Larry, played by Larry the Cable Guy who is much like the character he plays elsewhere. In fact, one of the funnier bits was a sort of spoof of Larry's bit involving a doll that was too-familiar to the character in the film. Larry is seen having a wonderful time with his young daughter, Noel, who clearly loves her dad, but who also loves her mom and likes her new step-dad.

In all the early scenes, Victor, the step-dad, appears to be a very nice man who is happy to have Larry around, sharing time with him even though they have little in common. The only conflict early-on comes from both dads wanting Noel to love them the most and both feeling like they cannot compete with each other.

Larry reads Noel's letter to Santa, believing it to say that the one thing she wants is the year's "must-have" toy, a stuffed bear named Harrison that talks. The way the letter was written makes him question if that is what she wants, but this is never questioned for most of the film. I don't believe this is a spoiler because we get to read the letter too, and while we might not figure out what she wrote, the Harrison Bear seems the most plausible to us as well.

So Larry goes to get one but finds the store out of stock. Unknown to him, Victor is so eager to become loved by Noel that he goes to great expense (he owns a big company) by sending his security head to go everywhere around and buy out all available Harrisons, just to keep Larry from giving one to Noel. His employee, Welling, goes to great pains to make sure Larry doesn't get one.

Larry deals with a number of unfortunate incidents along the way, including some physical stuff that was comical and a scene where the police appear ready to ruin his Christmas. He dresses up like a hobo to get a bear from a charity Santa location but endures being spotted by an old friend who mistakes him for a homeless guy. It was funny that she recognized him, given the disguise he wore.

He finally discovers Victor's role in the shortage of bears and confronts him, and the two wind up realizing they don't need to compete for Noel's attention so much.

I know the plot was rather simple and the film lacked the wild finish the original had, but it was reasonably enjoyable. There was no language or nudity to make it objectionable. Larry's off-color humor was greatly reined in from most of his appearances. I cannot claim this to be a new perennial for each Christmas season. I just think it was reasonably funny.

This is truly a bad movie....
kagethemagetwitch17 June 2022
If you came to this hoping for the same nostalgic magic that the first movie has, you will be horribly disappointed. It was just not funny. The only time I managed to laugh was at the expense of everyone involved in making this disaster.

This movie seemed to be aimed at the core demographic of people who later would end up to being Jan 6th attendees.

I watched this hoping to laugh at this movie, and ended up feeling more empty than Larry the Cable Guys awards case.

Corney, but oh so cute!
tinac-000184 January 2018
Any family struggling with step parents would most likely laugh out loud with this film. Especially if they are full of love and heart. This is the first film I've seen with Larry the cable guy and let me tell you, I laughed so many times! This is a heart warming movie that I actually like more than the original "jingle all the way" Tis the season! All should come together as one! Children come first, they are who keeps Christmas alive.... you rock Larry the cable guy! And the lil girl who plays the daughter in this film is so very heart warming, you just want to give her a big hug... two big thumbs up for this hilarious Christmas movie!!!! I (being a step parent) absolutely love it! Huge hugs to the whole cast.... y'all rock! What a wonderful family Christmas movie.

Jingle smelled once again.
mark.waltz22 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I was pleased to find out this was not a sequel to the 1994 Arnold Schwarzenegger film. It deals with a completely different plot so by using the original title and adding a 2 to it is deceptive, not that other people would really go back to see it assuming it was a sequel. The only thing that this has in common is the fact that the kid, in this case a cloying little girl, wants a particular toy, a talking bear, and her father (Larry the Cable Guy) is determined to get it for her, simply because he wants to show up his ex-wife second husband who is vying for the daughter's affections. At least the first wife in this case is a bit more sympathetic, although when you see the first wife and Larry the Cable Guy, you can't envision them as friends let alone married and creating a child.

The other things that I did find a little more acceptable about this was that is set in the country, not the city, although the ex-wife and the stepfather are extremely well off while Larry the Cable Guy is the epitome of a bumpkin. But he's not a funny Bunch can, so I'll take "Ernest takes Christmas" over this any day. Larry the Cable Guy has absolutely nothing funny about him, and along with the adolescent daughter, he is just painful to watch. It's also 20 minutes longer than the original film, and that was painful enough without stretching it out.

The most disappointing reboot in the history of movies.
Navin_Ad24 December 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Wow, I couldn't even stand half-way through the hole movie. Everything was predictable and played out exactly as the first movie. With no effort of making a new plot or style but sticking to the old "Larry can't act" movies. I mean, out of all the Larry movies this is by far the worst. Larry is probably worse than having Adam Sandler play in the movie, I mean Adam would have been able to pull it off better than him. Hollywood just completely ran out of ideas and recycled the same old crap with some new setting, toy and characters. But instead of making a toy sell out faster than anything else, it turns out to be a guy buying them (not gonna name who for the sake of spoilers). I had to stop the movie because if you have seen the first movie, you would know what was going to happen and it's the exact same. No changes just the same old plot with small tweaks.

Final Comment: No potential, bad story, bad reboot. Final Score: 1/10

No holiday fun at all
TheLittleSongbird14 March 2019
The first 'Jingle All the Way' may not have been a great film as such, and it is not hard to find fault with it, but it is somewhat of a guilty pleasure for me. Do find it quite fun and it has its charm, even if it is silly and predictable. My first instant thought hearing that there was a second film was "why was this made, and what's the point", as 'Jingle All the Way' really did not need a second film.

My questioning the point of 'Jingle All the Way 2' thoughts still stand. Was not in a way expecting it to be good, but saw it out of curiosity as there have been many films seen that do not look or sound good before release and being advertised. Yet they turn out to be surprisingly good when seeing it, often falling victim to bad or misleading marketing. 'Jingle All the Way 2' turned out not just not good, it was terrible. It's not funny, it has no charm whatsoever, has all the faults of the first film and amplifies them while having even more and is just poorly made. 'Jingle All the Way' was in no way a masterpiece and had its issues, but it is a gem compared to this trainwreck of a follow-up that had absolutely no point to it whatsoever.

'Jingle All the Way 2's' production values have direct to video quality all over it. It all looks as if it was made in haste and on a relatively tight budget, which would have been more forgivable if the rest of the film executed its other components well but it ends up making a complete hash of everything. The soundtrack is the one saving grace as it is catchy and is quite good on its own, the problem is how it is used, more often than not being too random and obvious in placement.

Frequently the script is juvenile and goes well overboard on the stupidity. The humour is never quite offensive but is crude and tired, namely in the verbal comedy, with jokes that would have been well past their sell by date years ago and the sight gags are just non-stop stupid. There is also a cloying sentimentality in places that never tugs at the heart and becomes difficult to stomach, namely with Larry and Noel. The story is episodic, like a series of increasingly uninteresting vignettes cobbled together, cardboard thin and at times repetitive, much more variety was needed. It becomes increasingly dull, everything is easily telegraphed far too early and is completely charmless with very little feeling of festive cheer. Feeling more like a dumber, more predictable and bland retread of 'Jingle All the Way' with the banter between Larry and Claude taking up far too much time, something that is never either remotely amusing or interesting. The climax is also very rushed and contrived.

Really disliked the characters too, all of them being truly obnoxious and severely underdeveloped cliches, complete with cartoonish conflict and never once having a feeling of things being at stake when one knows always how it's going to turn out. They are also poorly acted, generally over-played, with nobody giving a good performance or coming off unscathed. Larry the Cable Guy just does his usual lowbrow schtick that has been unfunny, annoying and stale for a very long time, have actually never found him amusing or likeable. The direction is uninspired at best.

Overall, terrible in every way with holiday fun nowhere in sight here. 1/10

What is a Critic?
DoctorSnuffleupagus18 December 2014
Do any of you understand what it means to review a movie? It is not your job or place to tear down a film simply because you did not like it. A review is meant to help an audience understand the positive and negative aspects of a product. If you were to be so prudent to say there were no positive aspects to this movie, then you must be too ignorant to have noticed them. As for the movie, it received a four star rating simply because the flow of the movie was disrupted by the numerous short and obvious father vs. step-father escapades, and for the fact that it was meant for entertainment, not inspiration. However, contrary to many of the other reviews, if you like Larry and his low-brow style of comedy, then you will certainly find yourself laughing several times throughout the film.

Garbage
justinbwie2 November 2016
This was an utter load of garbage. Steps to enjoy this movie: 1) Drop you IQ by 100 points. 2) Swallow gasoline. 3) Strike Match 4) Swallow Match 5) Enjoy movie I do not know how some producers can be happy with this quality movie. I would suggest watching this movie never. How else can I describe this pile of dog turd? If there was only one movie left to watch on this planet, and it was this movie, I would not even consider it. I would consider tearing out my eyes with a blunt teaspoon, pouring molten lava in my ears and then maybe, just maybe would I turn this movie on. Larry the Cable Guy is in the Top 10 of worst actors to be born in the universe. If I stuck 2 googly eyes on a sack of horse manure, the performance would be better.

Not this season's must have
Prismark1015 November 2015
Jingle all the Way 2 is a belated sequel to the 1996 film that starred Arnie and this has nothing to do with the first film apart from the basic plot line of going after the most sought after toy for Christmas.

Noel is an eight year old girl whose mum has just remarried to Victor who is wealthy and runs a successful business. Victor wants to be a good stepdad to Noel and wants her to love him as much as she loves her dad.

Larry is her dad, he is a little laid back, a little dim but well meaning who spends much of his time in the diner. Once he gets an inkling that Noel wants the season's hottest toy, The Harrison Bear he goes looking for it everywhere but Victor has sent his crony round to buy them all up first.

This is really a cheap looking and corny film but somehow I actually laughed and tittered several times to my surprise. I have sat through bigger budget and high concept comedies stone faced so at least the film got something right.

Larry just about keeps the film moving along with some slapstick as the well meaning dad who loves his daughter and prepared to put up with her new stepdad. Victor is the slimy one wanting to get one over Larry and wants the genuine love from Noel. Strangely the film makes a valid point about stepfathers feeling left out in this new family arrangements.

All I can say is that this pointless sequel is actually a lot better than expected.

winkust9 December 2019
There is a lot of negative reviews on here for this film but I really enjoyed this film, Larry was a likable and really funny character, Victor was one of those characters you love to hate and the film was great as a bit of light hearted fun, there was several really funny moments in the film, ok the plot was pretty much like the first one but the film did not try to pretend otherwise

not good
SnoopyStyle24 August 2019
Larry (Larry the Cable Guy) is generally a slacker except for his love for his daughter Noel. His ex-wife Trish has married the box tycoon Victor who is desperate to create the biggest Christmas to win over Noel. Larry is desperate to compete and is willing to do almost anything including reading Noel's letter to Santa. Unable to read her spelling, he assumes it to be a hot selling talking bear. Victor orders his security man Welling to buy out the bears.

I have nothing against Larry the Cable Guy but he's just not that funny. It's the gentlest of comedy. There is no edge in sight. It's not that bad as long as one keeps one's expectations down. The production is also pretty low grade. Its heart is mostly in the right place. Its comedy is not that funny. Larry has limited charisma. Expectations have to kept low to believe a giant factory has only one exit or that cell phone signals can be blocked by metal buildings. One way to improve it significantly is to make Welling the sole villain. He can go overboard with Victor's order which would leave Victor as only misguided. This is mostly watchable all the way through to the end. That's the most good I can say about it.

This film never jingles to tickles
sauravjoshi8513 November 2022
Jingle All the Way 2 is a Christmas comedy film Directed by Alex Zamm. The film stars Larry the Cable Guy, Santino Marella. Brian Stepanek, Kennedi Clements and Kirsten Robek.

Larry wants to gift his daughter Noel a doll that she so dearly desires. He races against Noel's stepfather to get the doll in order to come out as the better father.

This film is a sequel to the 1996 film Jingle All the Way starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.

This film is a perfect example of why you shouldn't remake any or every film. The film has lazy written script which is half heartedly executed. The script is very much similar to it's original part barring very few changes, The limited funny scenes in the film also gets predictable and fails to make you laugh.

Screenplay of the film is dull and can't hold the viewers were long, the viewers will keep waiting for that funny scene to laugh which is missing from the film, till the film reaches it's climax it's already becomes predictable, mediocre and boring.

Acting in the film is average and none of the character impresses much, i don't have a single reason to recommend you to watch this film.

LET THE GAMES BEGIN
nogodnomasters12 May 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I watched it because I would watch a train wreak. A dad (Larry the Cable Guy) and a step-dad (Brian Stepanek) compete for the affection of Noel (Kennedi Clements). Dad does neat fun outdoors stuff, while step-dad has the money to buy anything. Dad wants to get Noel the Harrison bear, but step-dad has been preventing this by buying them all up. That's pretty much it. Nothing overly clever. Some slap stick humor. I thought the situation of competing dads with daughter caught in the middle a sad situation that was made into a comedy...a comedy that doesn't really work.

Fans of the Larry film series for kids might like this one too. I didn't think it too entertaining.

Not as good as the 1996 original with Arnie
lisafordeay9 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Jingle All The Way 2 is a direct to DVD sequel based on the 1996 film starring Arnold Schwarzneger and Sinbad. This time around and Cars actor Larry the Cable Guy takes over as a father to a little girl who's Two mom is married to a rich guy. Since its the holiday season the two go head to head to get a talking teddy bear for their 8 year old daughter Noel. But with Victor being so greedy by taking every single Harrison Teddy from the shops, will Larry get one for Noel?.

Overall it was pretty bad. At least in the 1996 version there was more comedy in it especially with Arnie becoming the superhero Turbo Man.

My advice go watch the 1996 one instead as this sequel was unnecessary.
