Warning: Spoilers
I was pleased to find out this was not a sequel to the 1994 Arnold Schwarzenegger film. It deals with a completely different plot so by using the original title and adding a 2 to it is deceptive, not that other people would really go back to see it assuming it was a sequel. The only thing that this has in common is the fact that the kid, in this case a cloying little girl, wants a particular toy, a talking bear, and her father (Larry the Cable Guy) is determined to get it for her, simply because he wants to show up his ex-wife second husband who is vying for the daughter's affections. At least the first wife in this case is a bit more sympathetic, although when you see the first wife and Larry the Cable Guy, you can't envision them as friends let alone married and creating a child.

The other things that I did find a little more acceptable about this was that is set in the country, not the city, although the ex-wife and the stepfather are extremely well off while Larry the Cable Guy is the epitome of a bumpkin. But he's not a funny Bunch can, so I'll take "Ernest takes Christmas" over this any day. Larry the Cable Guy has absolutely nothing funny about him, and along with the adolescent daughter, he is just painful to watch. It's also 20 minutes longer than the original film, and that was painful enough without stretching it out.
