Get some writers who care...
aarongnr21 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The only reason I can think of, why they would kill Donna off like that, is that the actress didn't sign a new contract and didn't want to continue on the show. Or something of the sort. So the writers had to find a way to get rid of her. But instead of changing the story to make sense, like her dying in a fight, they decide to kill her by electicity AFTER they have already won? That's a joke, right?

Conner was standing like 20 metres away and could've easily do that too, but would Donna even die from electricity like that? Just 2 minutes prior she fought Superboy and took Super-punches and didn't habe a scratch. Come on.

I wish they would stop the non-linear narrative!
asb_deutsch2 December 2019
I wish they would stop the non linear narrative! Two steps forward and then one step backwards. And then some lame writing in the finale. This season had a lot of potential but almost wasted it! Raven's power seemed generic and exaggerated. I hope we see Deathstroke in S3!

Why

Warning: Spoilers
Nothing makes any sense. I don't know why this exists. There are just so many fundamental issues with this episode that makes me question why anyone would ever think that this was a good idea. The VFX were sub-par, storylines were boring, and characters seem to just stand around when big events are happening. I was so excited for this finale, but it all comes crumbling down at the end. After the first few episodes of Season 2 I thought this show was going to get better (and it did for a while), but then for some reason they decide to split up all of the characters and go back to a season 1 format, but instead of having each character on their own, they are in pairs. And look, I could deal with the rehash of the Season 1 style, and I could deal with the boring side-storylines that go nowhere, because I knew that in the end, the season would be redeemed by an intense final battle against Deathstroke. How could I be so wrong. What we actually got was Arrow Season 4 levels of fight scene with cuts every 10ms, unreasonable choreography, and a disappointing final fight. Deathstroke was the villain for the whole season, but was overshadowed by the introduction of Cadmus and now just dies in the street. This is possibly one of the worst written episodes of television that I have ever seen. So excited for Season 3.

Whats happening here? Is this a joke?
sumtim3s00n29 November 2019
The show for a little short while actually started getting a bit better, like with the Jericho episode. Had some weight and insight, atmosphere. And then it just jumped off a cliff again. But this episode, this takes the cake. I do not think I have ever seen a more stupid, illogical stream of event EVER a on tv show. And thats saying a lot. It really feels like they are making fun of the viewers. The producers should be ashamed to putting out this pile of garbage, if youre a fan of sci-fi or not, this is monumentaly bad and stupid, the characters actions have no connection with common sense, the events are forced and the director actually managed to create more distance between us knowing and understanding the characters even though just pure quantity of watched eps should add to it. Horrible, abysmall and a complete disaster.

Please let season 3 finally have a good ending.
awiigii20 September 2020
Okay so i did like this one more then most people did, but most of the reviews of this episode are right, i do think its a better end then season one got though.

But if im being real this season did not feel like season 2 of TITANS it kinda felt like how marvel movies have The Avengers and then they have Avengers Age Of Ultron technically its a sequel but they have a bunch of movies in between that you NEED to watch to understand the next one, so this season kinda felt like it had a bunch of side shows to build up its story...... but there just wasn't it was a season 2. Just for some reason i did not feel like it continued season 1 that well.

Also if blackfire is the main villain of next season i am not looking forward to that considering how poorly they handled anything to do with starfire this season.

The only good thing about this episode was the ending
matinpourtorab29 November 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This episode was terrible. 1. Weak ending to a perfect villian. They have been building to this the whole season and then kill him ine the matter of first ten minutes? Like Why?!!

2. Donna's death was so gratuitous and done in a terrible way. The fight was already over why did you have to kill her? If she was killed by Conner or Slade, I would have been fine but with electricity?! Come on

3.why nobody was doing anything? Everytime there was a fight the other characters were standing there doing nothing. Like why? Wouldn't have been easier if they participated?

P.S: Why didn't Conner try to hold that thing? It was right there

Decent but could've been better
wrmbradley29 November 2019
Warning: Spoilers
As season finales go, I was all aboard... until they killed Donna Troy. As far as dramatic beats go, a death felt necessary, but Donna? It felt unearned. Maybe they wanna bring in Cassie Sandsmark as her replacement... maybe she's resurrected like her comic counterpart... but as far as her death, it felt jarring. Everything else was top form: action, drama, emotion... but all that immersion was lost when, in less than a minute, a founding member of the Titans gets killed by a falling fairground ride... after the showdown with Deathstroke, after the face off with Conner, a falling hunk of metal. Boo!

Rushed and two plotlines could've had two seperate episodes, and deathstroke and donna needed a better ending. Nightwing was the best part and finally he smiles. Overall a good episode.

Are the writers trolling us?
MamadNobari9729 November 2019
Warning: Spoilers
So I have a love-hate relationship with this show. This show is weird cuz it's good and bad at the same time! Like it's logical and illogical at the same time, cringy and edgy but serious and good quality at the same time, I don't know how to explain it! So this season is the reason why I changed my overall rating of the show that was 9 to 8 because something doesn't feel right about this season.

And I'm really disappointed with this finale, we finally get the fking Nightwing but it's not that much and the way they take Deathstroke out is really disappointing and I didn't like it. The whole season felt like they're dragging for no reason but they rush this last episode and it's really weird cuz they're closing all the storylines from 12 episodes in just 30 minutes so I don't know why did they pace the show like this. So BeastBoy is killing, eating and destroying everything in the park but when they go back to normal Connor says it's my fault and Garr is just standing there happy like he didn't do anything? Excuse me? what did Connor do there beside punching the tiger? All the mess was Garr's fault so why is Connor sorry for that? And then, the most laughable thing in the show happens, the thingy with electricity is falling down and Connor, that have always had a quick reaction to his surroundings now all of a sudden doesn't move and everyone are watching it fall and Donna is the one going to stop it but then dies due to the electricity. Like wtf was that? I was like "you seriously doing this?" I was laughing the whole time because of how stupid this was. I don't know why the writers felt they need to erase Donna but this was by far the worst possible way they could've done it! Like not only Connor does nothing in that scene it's like he's not even there! If this scene happened while Connor was still under control of CADMUS it would've made more sense Or even Conner killing Donna would've been so much better than this abominable way they chose to kill Donna. Also they take her body to the airport and Rachel is like "Are they gonna take her to Themyscira?" what kind of dumbsht writing is this? And they had all this time but never Raven wanted to try to heal her, and now that they're taking her to Themyscira she's gonna try her luck? can this show get more stupider?

And overall if you think about it this season is way similar to the first one, with all joining and departing and the mind control in the finale.

We can also talk about how Bruce hack CADMUS system at the last second when Garr had already ate half the people there but this is nothing compared to.... you're not gonna believe what it is...

So in the few first episode of this season Conner gets out but Mercy is able to get him with Kryptonite bullets. So they work on him for few weeks and now they can control his mind. But Dick is able to free Conner and what Mercy does now? Yes "fire everything you have" and not one of them is a Kryptonite bullet or the Kryptonite net they captured him with. So no need to explain how dumb this is you can already see what I'm saying.

I'm just really hoping they get better writers for the next season cuz this wasn't good enough.

Season Two Review
southdavid26 June 2020
What an odd but wonderful season of television this second season of "Titans" is.

Taking up immediately where the first season ended, the remaining Titans are trapped outside of Trigon's (Seamus Dever) with just Gar (Ryan Potter) Rachael (Teagan Croft) and Dick Grayson (Brenton Thwaites) trapped inside. Once they deal with this issue, the announcement of the return of the Titan's brings them back onto the radar of their greatest foe, Slade Wilson (Esai Morales).

When I say that this season is odd, I mean in the sense that they blow off what should have been part of the finale of last season in the first half of the first episode and then set up a brand new villain (or three) to fight across this run and the season at large. I did actually stop the first episode at one point to go back and check that I hadn't somehow missed this episode last time. Once that was out the way though, there was a really enjoyable season of Superhero TV. Split across a couple of different time frames, the show shows us the original Titans crossing paths with Deathstroke with disastrous consequences five years previously. This explains his desire for revenge on the reformed Titans in the present day stuff. There is also another plot strand with Cadmus, Lex Luther's scientific military company and what I initially thought might be another backdoor pilot (like Doom Patrol in the first season) with the introduction of Conner and Krypto - although they end up joining the Titans outright.

I would say, it was a little disappointing to see all the Titans go their separate ways so quickly and for the length of the run in a lot of cases, rather than seeing them operate as a team for any considered amount of time. But overall I really enjoyed the series. It's self referentially funny, the action scenes are good and Deathstroke was a wonderful villain for them to go up against.

Looking forward to the third season.

OVERHYPED
viraaj-834422 December 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Disappointment is upon me after this finale. This seasons being much better then the first as it looked like but after atonement it fell off even thought the last few were good the storyline didn't connect. EVEN THAT would be ok until this episode aired and it killed off death stroke which was a MISTAKE considering he was great. Then we screw with Mercy Graves and that was still ok. UNTIL THEY KILL OF DONNA TROY FOR NO REASON. then this episode gets bad. After a bad pilot this season was amazing for a while until it jumped the shark with this one. This season is still a 8.7 Out of10 for a bad pilot and bad finale some minor episodes but this episode was not good enough. But in the light it delivered NIGHTWING the team is amazing and it's settup is good but still this finale was lackluster.

What is happening?
Tastentier30 November 2019
Warning: Spoilers
During season 1, Titans quickly became my favorite superhero series. Season 2 had a few lengths but was still well above the Arrowverse shows and similar super-soaps. And then *this* happens. What was that even? Writer Richard Hatem previously treated us to "Conner", the single best Titans episode to date. Either he or his cowriter Greg Walker of Smallville fame must have suffered a stroke halfway through the script to deliver something like this. But how could director and TV veteran Carol Banker let this slip through? Surely someone must have noticed that this wasn't up to the usual standard, to put it mildly. This was almost comically bad. Here's to hoping the show will be back to form in the next season.

Nightwing is here and so is some seriously bad decision making
enes-hysein3 December 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The showrunners seem to have a big problem closing up the storylines and seasons in general. Same thing happened last year with a season finale that felt soooo out of place it looked like a whole different show. This season tried to tell a lot. I mean, we had so many storylines, some episodes just felt tiring to watch. But you can't deny that there were some good episodes in this season. The inconsistency is crazy. Killing Donna like that for example is just something I'd never see this show do. Or the way they treated Gar's character towards the end or anything involving Jason Todd. Deathstroke was great throughout the season but the way he died was very lackluster. You have a perfect villain you're building up for 12 episodes and you just kill him within the first 10 minutes of the episode. CRAZY RIGHT ?! Dick and Bruce really ended up being the most memorable part of a finale i thought would give much more than it did. Season 3 seems to dig deeper into Starfire's backstory with her sister Blackfire being the main villain. I am hyped and crossing my fingers for some consistent writing and storytelling like we saw in some episodes during this season.

Hire some writers that actually read the comics
adampascoe5 December 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Love the show, but this episode was such a disgrace. Why build deathstroke up to be a huge villain to just kill him so easily and wash that build up away. And Donna, well I think the rest of the comments have said enough there. But please do better in season 3.

A decent episode marred by a crazy writing decision
addishat15 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
*Spoiler alert

I knew this episode was the lowest rated in the entire series, and caught myself wondering why, because for most of it, it was pretty much average for the series, if not slightly above.

Then we get the insane writing choice to kill off Donna Troy at the end, after all the fighting, after the villains have been stopped, on what is essentially a pointless random accident.

There was no emotional weight behind it, it felt senseless and pointless. If she had been killed by Deathstroke, or even by Superboy while he was still brainwashed, it would have had meaning and an impact.

As it is, it feels almost like an afterthought, like they'd already shot the episode and then spontaneously decided to get rid of her before season 3 but didn't want to change any of the major story events to give it meaning.

In that respect, it reminds my of the death of Tasha Yar on Star Trek The next Generation.

This could have been done so much more elegantly.

The Fall of Titans Season 2.
EddyTheMartian00729 November 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I can't believe I let myself get excited for Titans. I'll admit, I was optimistic when this season began. The show seemed to be improving. I wouldn't say it was good, not even okay, but it was right there, it could've broken out and gave us something worthwhile. Then after the season's best episode (Jericho), we get Titan's worst episodes back to back.

Atonement, a boring episode that sets up useless arcs for each character, only to waste time and make these already bad characters worse. There were some fun moment finally giving Gar something to do, but the incredibly idiotic decisions done by the characters ruined and semblance of enjoyment and hope I had left for thus show. I just adore how consistent the characters are written. Hank and Dawn just break up because... plot?i don't know, but let's extend this asinine storyline.

Fallen, the downwards spiral continues. Dick now in prison starts to get the development he needs to become Nightwing. Some incredibly moronic and futile attempts at character development. Our beloved hero breaks out criminals and attacks guards. This is his "heroic" moment. By the way are we going to ignore the fact that Dick gets the name from these criminals, and somehow later on Stu unknowingly makes the suit perfectly working with the name? Yeah this show doesn't make much sense. I love how consistent the characters are too, like Raven who's supposed to be incredibly shy, and anti-social, but sure she can make friends without a problem. Oh and remember to forget about that plotline where Raven's powers manifest and kill someone. You know what they'll also forget or rush through? Cadmus. Seems like a bad time to start this plot line, but I digress.

E.L._.O., somehow this keeps getting worse. Remember Donna? Yeah she's a part of this show. They haven't really done much with her character, but she's here I guess. Now the real Bruce Wayne comes and unexplainably brings all the female Titans together to abandon their now forgotten plot threads to bring the Titans back together again. Yeah that seems like the obvious choice, it doesn't really make sense to break all together in the first place. Whoops I just forgot that the Titans writers aren't mentally sane while writing this show. Let's go back to our beloved hero Dick. Now he's fighting another hallucination of Bruce Wayne. Oh and apparently the very obvious stunt double of Iain Glen. Yes, he's fighting a hallucination. BRAVO Titans, that's what it takes for Dick Grayson to finally become Nightwing! Now let's have Dick Grayson disappear from his cell without explanation, the same way I can't explain how someone can ruin the Titans so badly. Also let's have Starfire and Raven beat up guards for good measure. Totally necessary cause Bruce Wayne couldn't pay for Dick's bail. Also Dick is literally an escaped convict. The cops should be looking not only for Dick for escaping, but also Raven and Kory for beating up a bunch of innocent guards to try to free Dick. But hey, this episode was shot especially well, I'll give them that.

Faux Hawk, while an improvement form the last episode, still awful! This episode tries to give the answers we needed much earlier on in the season. With all the meandering plots this episode honestly seems useless. Everything that needed to be explained like Jericho being inside of Desthstroke, Rose working for Deathstroke (yeah she exists), whatever the hell is going on with Hank. These are mostly just small things that should've been explained or should've concluded earlier in the season. This entire episode didn't need to happen. It just feels like it's trying to tie up all the loose ends that were actually important, but it's all too late. Notice how I haven't mentioned Cadmus? I have no idea what is going on there, seems like the writers don't really know either. This episode was just boring. Everything in the episode should've been included in other episodes earlier on. Even when this episode attempted to tie some loose ends there are still SO MANY forgotten plot threads that I have no idea how they're going to deal with them in the finale. Now onto the Finale...

Finally we're are at Nightwing. I didn't believe it could get this bad, but somehow it got worse... This finale perfectly illustrates everything that is wrong with this series. Deathstroke is handled in the first 10 minutes of the episodes. Just a simple 2 on 1 fight. Nightwing teleports in the beginning of the fight, and then he's able to take Deathstroke with really no problem while the the titans just watch when they could've been helping, and rose just flails her swords around in the background because they couldn't choreograph a good 2 on 1 fight. Then when she finally gets her fight skills back she finally kills Deathstroke. It's just done in such a lame way. This is how we beat Deathstroke?! I mean honestly he barely did anything this entire season, what a joke. I might be mistaken, but doesn't Deathstroke have a healing factor? How does this kill him? Also during this fight while the Titans were doing nothing to help, Kory gets shot and suddenly Raven knows how to perfectly use her powers and heals her. Don't forget Kory loses her powers solely for plot convenience! Jericho is in rose, and they leave. Now we're back to the incredibly rushed Cadmus storyline that wasn't even in the show for half of the season. Gar is being controlled to attack people in the fair, and a mind controlled Conner fights him. The CGI is horrible, but that isn't a massive problem. What is a massive problem is, how the Titans go confront Conner, and he's order to eliminate them, but he just chokes them and throws them around, not killing them. The entire fight is so contrived. Then hank joins in and it's completely unexplained. It really doesn't make sense for him to be here, but he is. Now Conner uses his laser vision (finally), and Dawn deflect it with a glass shard on the ground. What is even happening anymore. Finally Nightwing is back! I'm not exactly sure where he was for the beginning of the fight, but I guess he's here now. He throws some sort of grenade and it literally teleports into Conner's spot, and Conner disappears somewhere. Again, what?! This entire fight is so incredibly stupid, it actually baffles me. This makes absolutely 0 sense, but let's move along. Raven frees Gar from mind control, because the perfect usage of her powers. Seriously though, I'm the start of the season Raven couldn't control her powers injuring the Titans, then a few episodes ago her powers manifested and killed someone without her knowing, but now she can heal people (which she's never done, and has never been established she can do), and has mind manipulation powers?! Now she's back to help the titans as Donna stops Conner with her lasso, and Raven stops him with her powers. Now Dick Grayson with his beautiful suit enters Conner's mind with the help of Raven. What happens now is one of the most absurd, ridiculous, nonsensical things that has ever happened on this show. Conner's mind control is fixed because Dick punches a wall inside his mind revealing light... This speaks for itself. Now Conner beats the underdeveloped Cadmus, and the main conflict is already done in the episode. There's literally still 20 minutes left of the episode. Now random people who have no idea of the context of the fight just start to clap, even though logically they should be running for their lives. I didn't know Titans could become even more idiotic, but then Donna's death happens. An electric pole starts to fall, and you know a pole, just move to the side of it. Some idiot people stay under it and then Donna holds up the pole instead of pushing the people of the way, and when everyone is gone from under the pole she just keeps holding it, because apparently she wants to die. Yep, she dies like that. Nope the villains didn't kill one of the strongest Titans, it was a pole! This has got to be one of the worst deaths in any show. I can't comprehend how the writers thought this was an acceptable and logical way to kill one of the strongest Titans. It actually baffles how asinine this entire episode is. Finally for the last 20 minutes we get a crappy funeral montage that I couldn't care less about because Donna has literally been barely developed, so why would I even care about her. Raven is sent to Themyscira because... yeah I really don't know why, she just is. ELKO is left completely unexplained. Jason is just there and he leaves. The titans have a moment, and they're back together again. The episode ends with another Blackfire teaser. As a finale, this does NOT work at all. A finale is supposed to neatly tie together all the plot threads left from the season, end some character storylines, and tease for the future. This episode barely ties any lose threads. It just ends the 2 main antagonists of the season in a rushed manner, and poorly. Seeing Dick as Nightwing is cool, but based on the previous Dick we've seen it literally doesn't make sense for his cut after to suddenly act like this because of his awful development. None of the character's arcs are ended, they're just left to be forgotten next season. And then we get a Blackfire teaser that doesn't even matter, because we already know she's coming. What can we take from all of this? Titans is bad. I can't see any arguments against this. The finale proves it. It is filled with plot holes, contrivances, conveniences, Inconsistent characters, silly, plain stupid moments, and just had writing overall. It is such a shame so much potential has been wasted for what should be a great show, but what we got is nothing that even resembles greatness. Titans is a disappointment, a disaster, a disgrace, just a really bad show. Titans is the opposite of what a Titan should be.

I like what i saw, but could h'v been better
chubbysupreme29 November 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Usually when i write reviews i put 'imo' but now im going to straight facts:

Pros:

-ravager and nightwing vs deathstroke

-donna vs connor

-rachael and bb scenes

-bruce being being

-i absolutely love the dialogues in this episode except for a comedic relief.

-whew..i thought we're not gonna see jason, but we did so thats a win

Ok finally CONS:

-I wish..I WISH they did not reveal the nightwing before the finale

-i thought we gonna see the titans's suits..correct me if im wrong BUT the suits are originally made before the titans s2 starts..(You can see the leaks)

-rly? Now kory can't use powers now?

-wht is dawn even doing there, she did not even anything heroic(at least kory and hank lays a punch on conner)

-RUSH.(they should end a cadmus's arc last episode and deathstroke in this episode)

-rly jericho in HIS SISTER's body? (Bruh jericho can see everything..there a frickkin i max screen infront a his luxuxy sofa..)

-ELECTRICTY KILLS AN AMAZON(i thought she would die by connor, by taking a huge hit from his punch. (The first time ds slice up donna's stomach should be impossible, but you can assume that it could be a knife that can kill amazons so who knows?)

-the shot for nightwing looks like its frames are missing like hell, one sec there and one sec here. LITERALLY(when nightwing was battling ds and he knock back ds. Later the shot was dick facing to a car talking to a titans) & (when dick throws something blue device to connor, mist comes out AND he was standing in connor's place..the hell is that? A teleportation device?

-gar smiling after the people cheers them up, before that wasn't he attacking those people?

-Ds shows up on a middle of the street outta nowhere

-where's krypto? He was in a last titan's shot

-IT IS WEIRD THAT WE NEVER SEEN DICK SUIT UP AGAIN AFTER 1X7 till now(only in flashback).

-is starfire the big focus in next season coz blackfire is here.

-oh yh im not a fan of donna troy this season like her attitude snaps outta nowhere(i know she's just mad coz ds returns and dick keeping rose with them),but she being a dick to dick

You must be surprised why i still give 8/10 with those so many cons up there, like i said..i like what i saw.

Conclusion - titans s2 is takes turn after ep9. Overall s2 ratings 8.6/10

My episodes rankings:(best to worst)

-2x8(Jericho) (10/10)

-2x2(Rose) (9.7/10)

-2x5(Deathstroke) (9.5/10)

Conclusion of the two villains of the season in a decent season finale
Holt3442 December 2019
The episode we have been waiting for, the showdown between Grayson and Slade or in this case Nightwing and Deathstroke, it was great but short. I excepted more, a bigger brawl between them and everyone else teaming up but in some ways this worked because of the personal things between the two. There is also another story arc that needed an conclusion and it's the Cadmus one, they executed that better than the Deathstroke one. Seeing the characters, everyone in their costumes again is one thing I've missed.

This is far from a great episode but it was a good season finale, which does everything a finale should have and it's having a conclusion on the various of story arcs and starting new ones in the process. I can't wait for season 3 and the introduction of Blackfire, I also have hopes for some more villains that will be introduced. This episode had some great special effects and visuals, the writing was lacking if you compare it to the rest of the season but it was alright there were some things I really disliked and found stupid but I won't spoil what. Acting was great, Brenton Thwaites shined throughout the episode and the bigger appearance of Bruce Wayne was nice. Overall a good episode!

This finale was so bad it made me want to write my first review!
leonard-165-3511803 December 2019
This episode felt like a D&D session where everyone had to leave early and the players weren't going to see each other for a long while. Whoever wrote this episode should really take stock of their life decisions. I'm 30 minutes in and I know I should have just spent that time watching soccer fail videos on YouTube.

-I hate that GOT style of dropping the main characters, bring her back!!!
marianthenightman1 December 2019
-The episode is great,i like the new costume ,i like the music, the dark tone of the show, although i can't stop thinking their world would be better without our heroes, they end up killing too many people ,and they are not even on a black list although nobody knows almost immediately they were forced to do so many bad things, but this is ok ,the only thing i hate is ....and like all the fans of the series i want to see her back !!!!!..i hate that GOT series so much right now !!!

Decent

Warning: Spoilers
The episode is not as bad as people say though I would have liked the episode more if the fight with Deathstroke had lasted longer. I mean only two members of the Titans fought against DeathStroke on this episode. Why ? He is the main villain of the season not Cadmus and if Donna had to die then she should have died in some other ways like Slade killing Donna or something like that.

Those are my only complaints. The rest was fine to me

Wha...What was that??

Warning: Spoilers
Did most of the writers quit midway through this episode? This was not only an insult to the DC characters, but an insult on my intelligence.

Shame on anyone involved in this episode. Dona's death was so incredibly bad in every aspect of story and cinema. No emotion to feel other than disbelief that a paid writer, producer, and director allowed that. Superboy should have or would have done the catching of the falling beam. And to top that, they made him just stand there. A monkey could have written that scene better. How incredibly embarrassing. I'm done with this ridiculous disgrace of a DC heroes representation.

Can't even go into how terribly represented Slade was. That's no Deathstroke. Should have been a very tall and muscular actor. Someone who would look older than this shows alfred...I mean Bruce Wayne. Great actor, poor choice. Even more of a poor choice ending him out that way.
