- TriviaThis is one of the only two episodes in which the guest star uses a pseudonym instead of their real name (the other being Stark Raving Dad (1991)). Following the legal troubles surrounding that episode, the producers stated henceforce no pseudonyms would be allowed. As a result, all voice actors must use their true names in the credits.
- GoofsAccording to Bart's narration of his "kittens" video he shows his class, Snowball II was a kitten that the first Snowball had. But in Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire (1989), it's clearly stated that Snowball II was bought.

The best Lisa episode of all time!
I remember watching this episode a few decades ago and crying like a baby. I'm 43 now, and the tears still wouldn't stop.
This episode is my favorite from Season 2. The focus is on the relationship between Lisa and Mr. Bergstrom, but Bart does have several laugh-out moments. The relationship between Mrs. Krabappel and Bart is juxtaposed with Lisa's story arc to demonstrate how different the siblings are. Finally, Homer gets some moments to shine in his cute and inimitable way.
Among the scenes that stand out is Lisa's angry 'baboon' outburst and every scene Mr. Bergstorm is in. This episode is highly recommended for Lisa fans and anybody who wishes to experience the good ol' charm this show used to have.
