a love letter to the fans

Warning: Spoilers
I never thought that a comic book movie could make me cry, and Avengers: Endgame made me cry... several times. I was a little skeptical at first at the fact the movie was over three hours long, and that they couldn't tell what needed to be told without it feeing rushed, but I was so wrong. Avengers: Endgame is the perfect ending to a beloved story that has lasted over ten years, it makes all the right choices and ticks all the boxes. For the first time in a while a movie surprised me not only once but 10 times, for once twists actually feel like a twist, they're not predictable as most movies are now-a-days. The casts performances made these once cheesy and quirky comic book characters feel like more human, showing some of the finest and convincing acting ever put to screen. The movies serious moments are jaw-dropping, but that still doesn't mean that theres no humour, in fact Endgame nearly has as much comedy in it as guardians of the galaxy. I loved the second act simply because it was cool and interesting to see past MCU movies from a different perspective. then the climax happens, and theres more 'war' in the climax than there is in the whole of 'infinity war', The climax has some of the most stunning action sequences in movie history. Robert Downey Jr was the perfect choice to kill of, simply because the person who started it all, should be the one to end it, his final words "I am Iron Man" really got me crying, but it didn't make me cry as much as the very last scene, with captain America finally getting his dance with Peggy Carter, something that we've all been wanting for eight years since Captain America: the first Avenger. With that being said, Avengers: Endgame is an emotional and bitter sweet way to end the saga that has come close to all our hearts, it's a wild ride through everything we've been through over this long decade, with it's phenomenal performances, beautiful script, stunning effects, suspenseful action, brilliant script and top quality cinematography; Avengers: Endgame will go down in history as the final piece of the puzzle to the most beloved franchise of all time, its perfection amongst the millions of movies that have been made, it will be remembered until the end of days as a cinematic masterpiece.

Warning: Spoilers
Avengers: Infinity War is one of the most visually stunning movies ever put to screen, that includes the outstanding cinematography, brilliantly choreographed action sequences, a beautifully written script (improved by the incredible performances) and plot. It changes what we expect from a marvel movie, pretty much all of the marvel movies had the same structure until infinity war, for once the heroes are loosing, and don't walk into the sunset triumphant in the end. Since The Avengers in 2012, Thanos has always been an excuse to have a post-credit scene, but Josh Brolin steals the show with his performance as the mad titan, this doesn't feel like an avengers movie, it feels like a Thanos movie... and thats a good thing. And then the final scene happens, the movie could of ended with Captain America in Wakanda but no, the movie ends with Thanos, the very last scene has no talking its just a completely visual treat, theres no evil laugh from Thanos at the end, just a smile; and when the screen goes black everyone is left in amazement at the fact for the first time.. the heroes lost... and the villain won, Josh Brolin makes his character feel more sinister than ever before, mix that with lovable characters, great humour and breath-taking action, and you have yourself one of the finest pieces of cinema ever put to screen.

insulting

I'm a guy that adores transformers, I've watched all of the TV shows and movies, I own a large amount of the toys and adored the franchise since I was a baby. Age of Extinction wasn't as bad as people said it was (but it still wasn't great), it was good enough to leave me hyped for the sequel. I remember the day that the first 'last knight' trailer came out and I was at the edge of my seat; it wasn't long before it was released, i went to see it on the day of release, I came out of the cinema that day insulted and annoyed. This movie is a joke, it tries to be serious about its plot but it can't due to the awful acting and annoying characters (excluding non-human characters). The movie has no structure; everything just kind of happens but by bit with no explanation, this makes the movie twice as boring as it already was. People think a lot different to me but I personally think Shia Labeouf is miles better than Mark Wahlberg, Labeouf was slightly annoying at times but at least he had good lines and played his role as the crazy teenager sam very well, his character arc in 'dark of the moon' is great, showing an angel sam attempting to cope with normal life and displaying his characters emotions extremely well. Wahlberg on the other hand is obnoxious and boring, he's that typical dad characters we've got to know and hate over the years of cinema, he's the only lead character who always seems that he's not supposed to be there. There are some things I love about this movie, such as the stunning CGI and unique character designs (especially megatrons new design), most of the voice actors of the transformers do a great job, it was great seeing Peter Cullen and Frank Welker reprise their roles as Optimus prime and Megatron (who are still as good in role as they were in the 80's). Transformers: The last Knight is a hot pile of garbage and is a disgrace to those that loved what the first 3 transformers movies were all about, thank Primus Travis Knight rebooted the franchise with 'bumblebee' (which is a great movie and fantastic return to form). I genuinely HATE! this movie.

Warning: Spoilers
The Shawshank Redemption was my favourite movie for many years, but it was beaten after i watched the good the bad and the ugly; but that doesn't change anything a felt about this movie and how brilliant it really is. This movie has the best character development in movie history! It shows the way prison life has on people; especially those who have been wrongly accused, the slow decent into madness and depression as the years go by. Also, theres not many movies that make you truly hate a character because of there wicked and evil acts, Warden Norton and Captain Hadley are deceptive and cruel to the inmates of the prison, and i smiled when there story came to an end. The leading Actors such as Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman display some of the finest acting in movie history, their skills make the audience feel sorry for them at emotional times in the movie and its difficult for a movie to make the audience feel that way. As for the script, it is written perfectly and is major highlight the movie, again; this is improved further because of the amazing performances from the cast. the story is a story of loss, hope... and redemption, it may seem like a normal prison movie at first, but soon enough you'll really begin to appreciate how inspirational the movie really is. As the for the climax, The Shawshank Redemption has one of the most bitter sweet endings of all time. In conclusion, The Shawshank Redemption is without a doubt one of the greatest movies of all time, it will be remembered in the media until the end of days; this is the movie the directors of today should watch to see what cinema is all about.

Warning: Spoilers
Dragon: the Bruce Lee covers the legendary actors rise to fame, from his early life in China to the many obstacles he came across during his pursuit of prosperity in the USA. Its common issue with biopics to exaggerate certain parts of the characters life to make the movie more interesting, the movie does this by making Lee battle a hallucination of a samurai warrior numerous times in the movie; this is of course a metaphor for Lee's inner demons, this is an example of good exaggeration in a biopic. Jason Scott Lee plays Bruce brilliantly, they couldn't of picked a better actor at the time, as for the rest of the cast, some characters felt slightly flat and underdeveloped, but this problem can be ignored by the fantastic performances from the lead roles. Dragon: the Bruce Lee story is an emotional roller coaster that keeps the audience engaged at every second, I personally think this is the best biopic of all time as it shows the consequences of fame and fortune and who might loose too it, this is the most under rated movie ever; if you want a brilliant biopic, go and watch this!

So aweful it's hilarious
16 March 2019
I'm not even going to talk about the hideous animation and horendous voice acting, I saw this movie in a video on the YouTube channel 'I hate everything', I enjoyed that video so much I decided to watch this movie by itself. You see in the UK this movie goes by the name 'fantastic 4orce' (the best way to read the English title), and by searching this on the web I managed to find the movie and watch it from start to finish in English (the dubbing is aweful). 'Fantastic 4orce' is so bad that it's an absolute joy to watch, I was genuinely crying with laughter at most of this pile of garbage movie, if you've ever wondered what the worst animated movie is... here it is.

Masterpiece
22 February 2019
There are movies like The Shawshank Redemption that are absolutely spectacular and true pieces of cinema art... and then there's 'The Good The bad and The ugly'. This is one of the Most important and influential movies in history, this is what directors should watch for inspiration when they are trying to make a 'great' movie. People Cannot call themselves 'Movie buffs' until they have watched 'The good the bad and the ugly'. Clint Eastwood plays his role as 'The man with no name' Elegantly, keeping the mysterious tone the character had in the previous films whilst still showing different emotions as the movie progresses, this is one of Clint Eastwoods' finest roles. Lee Van Cleef and Eli Wallach also played their roles tremendously with each of them displaying their characters emotions and motives clearly and beautifly. The movie has some of the most suspenseful and engaging action sequences in movie history and I was left at the edge of my seat at the end of most of them, as for the final showdown; let's just say it's one of the greatest scenes in Cinema history. The movie also has a brilliantly written script and some of the finest cinematography ever, this makes the already engaging and action packed story even better. The good The bad and The ugly ticks all the boxes when it comes to doing things right, directors from today need to remember how geniuses like Sergio Leone crafted pieces of art like the good the bad and the ugly, with an fantastic story, brilliant actors, incredible script, suspenseful action scenes, beautiful cinematography and one of the finest soundtrack of all time, not only is 'the good the bad and the ugly' the greatest western of all time... It's the the greatest movie ever made.

The greatest 'feel good' movie ever made!
21 February 2019
The Lone Ranger is one of those movies where you can ignore all the little negative points of it and just sit down and enjoy it. With a Run time of around 2 hours 40 minutes, the Lone Ranger fills it's large run time with engaging action, good humour and engaging characters, no one could play the lone ranger better than Hammer and Depp engages the audience with a sarcastic humour that everyone will enjoy. This movie puts a smile on my face everytime I watch it, with great performances from the cast, engaging characters, great humour, fantastic action and use of some amazing cinematography; this is a movie that everyone can adore in their own way.
