Warning: Spoilers
I never thought that a comic book movie could make me cry, and Avengers: Endgame made me cry... several times. I was a little skeptical at first at the fact the movie was over three hours long, and that they couldn't tell what needed to be told without it feeing rushed, but I was so wrong. Avengers: Endgame is the perfect ending to a beloved story that has lasted over ten years, it makes all the right choices and ticks all the boxes. For the first time in a while a movie surprised me not only once but 10 times, for once twists actually feel like a twist, they're not predictable as most movies are now-a-days. The casts performances made these once cheesy and quirky comic book characters feel like more human, showing some of the finest and convincing acting ever put to screen. The movies serious moments are jaw-dropping, but that still doesn't mean that theres no humour, in fact Endgame nearly has as much comedy in it as guardians of the galaxy. I loved the second act simply because it was cool and interesting to see past MCU movies from a different perspective. then the climax happens, and theres more 'war' in the climax than there is in the whole of 'infinity war', The climax has some of the most stunning action sequences in movie history. Robert Downey Jr was the perfect choice to kill of, simply because the person who started it all, should be the one to end it, his final words "I am Iron Man" really got me crying, but it didn't make me cry as much as the very last scene, with captain America finally getting his dance with Peggy Carter, something that we've all been wanting for eight years since Captain America: the first Avenger. With that being said, Avengers: Endgame is an emotional and bitter sweet way to end the saga that has come close to all our hearts, it's a wild ride through everything we've been through over this long decade, with it's phenomenal performances, beautiful script, stunning effects, suspenseful action, brilliant script and top quality cinematography; Avengers: Endgame will go down in history as the final piece of the puzzle to the most beloved franchise of all time, its perfection amongst the millions of movies that have been made, it will be remembered until the end of days as a cinematic masterpiece.
