Time waster with no redeeming factors

If Pixar had done this I'm sure it would have been a winner. But sadly it's not it's a time wasting loser of a film. The sheer noise and busyness of it may keep kids' attentions but I don't think the story will make them think. Films and animations always have the unbelievable in, but this one has far too much that is beyond belief that it just becomes silly and foolish. I lasted 25 minutes before switching it off and tbh that's more than I should have invested in it.

Why do I even bother watching these repetitive splash entertainment films, this film is terrible nothing is new in here its just another repetitive norm sequel that has a boring story, and bland animation.

Wow, if Keys To The Kingdom was not bad enough, Lionsgate actually has the nerve to give us a second sequel, and it's just as bad. The plot is basically Norm finds a human named Jin who crashed in the Artic trying to keep a Chinese artifact out of the hands of Dexter, a villainous archeologist. Jin has Norm promise if he does not make it, to take the artifact to his grandson, Chen, in Beijing, having Norm go on a quest while also keeping his promise to do his grandfather's wedding. Also, there's a B story where Quinn is acting king to help with wedding preparations, and he acts like a total jerk to everyone.

While the movie tries to teach kids a moral about keeping promises, it does not do well. The Lemmings are a bad rip-off of Chip and Dale, the B story is horrible and adds nothing to the plot, only being there to force the moral down our throats, and the humor is not funny. Your kids deserve better animated films than this garbage, so if you are a parent, steer clear of this king size abomination and buy something from Disney or Warner Bros.

If you want to distract your offspring during the shut-in, at least give them something of average quality. Norm of the North and its sequels are the kind of animation that you'd find in the 99 cent bin. Even there, it's not worth it.

King Sized Adventure follows Norm's journey to Beijing to restore an ancient artifact while avoiding a wicked English (?) archaeologist. In a completely pointless subplot, Norm's oldest Quinn is left acting king of the North Pole, where his ego takes over.

There's a message to be had here, one of keeping your word. Not only is it driven into the ice but it's also done very poorly. Honestly, ANYTHING else on Netflix is better.

These three Norm of the North movies are not for everyone. Stream this on a boring Weekend.

A teeny tiny improvement, but still not good enough.

Just like the last movie, I still cannot believe Lionsgate thought it was a good idea to make a sequel. Admittedly, though, I saw that this NOTM sequel managed to tidy things up a bit. For instance, the animation is better. Not master-class-level, but at least at a Hoodwinked Too! Level. Another improvement is actually having a few decent scenes here and there, such as Jin and Dexter's backstory, along with that whole scene of Norm asking a goose where he can find the Beijing University; NGL, that was pretty clever. They also toned down the pop culture references, which, in an opinion from a guy who used to like Doogal when he was a kid, is actually not a bad move for a bad franchise like Norm of the North.

Now, we get to the bad parts. Despite the many improvements, this film still has, many classic Norm elements are still included. For instance, the plot holes. Where do I begin? Norm knows what Beijing is, Norm manages to get into the university without being bombarded by fans considering his POPULARITY. What about Dexter managing to pinpoint Jin's location? Did Dexter have a Jin-tracker on him, or was it a lucky guess? What about that one-scene wonder, or in my case, one-scene blunder, where Dexter's pet Komodos, Chaos and Mayhem, manage to USE A LAPTOP?1 Oh, wait till you hear the best worst part. In the ending, Norm and Jin defeat Dexter and find the hidden treasure which could only be seen for 100 years. Spoiler alert, the cave actually had an OPENING that lead in and out of the mountain, meaning that anyone could've accessed it anytime! What kind of junk were you on, Mike Young and Lionsgate execs?

There's also some bad problems. Fong, while still a confusing and unneeded character, gets turned into a butt-monkey. Additional plot hole: How can a rabbit like FONG attend business school? Why is he also the only animal other than Norm and Quinn that everyone understands, and why does he work among them? And as for Norm's son, Quinn. He's a total jerk when he temporarily takes over his father's position. What's worse? He NEVER learns from his mistakes. Worst. Role. Ever.

To anyone who wants to watch this with their kids, don't do it! Don't listen to the Dove seal, don't be charmed by its decent-looking poster, and DEFINITELY don't watch it at all costs.

These Norm of the North movies keep getting better and better with this one being a masterpiece of film-making it's to bad this wasn't shown in threaders and couldn't have seen this.

It is amazing what the producers were able to do on such a modest budget. Endearing characters, strong storytelling and it looks terrific. "Norm" is a lot of fun, particularly for anyone who has followed the franchise. The kids loved it and can't wait to see the next one!

A shameless cash grab. Lemmings are trying to imitate illuminations (unfortunate) success of minions. If I could describe this movie in one word it would be lazy. The visuals somehow look worse that spy kids 3D. All in all 10 stars.

Don't believe the negative reviews. My 3 year old and I watched this film last night and both loved it! It reminded me of an animated Indiana Jones. By the end he was cheering which had me cracking up!

As always this is a lot of fun for kids .... lets not over think the point of these movies! The lemmings antics are always a fan favorite! This is definitely worth a night of popcorn and good times for a family to spend together.

Reading a review below I could not help wondering if it had been written by a thirty five year old locked in his mother's basement. This is a fun, lively and entertaining film that the four kids (8-11 years of age ) that I watched it with completely enjoyed . They actually went on to watch it again.

I watched this the other day it was amazing the animation just keeps getting better especially the acting this adventure is really good stopping a greedy seller who is willing to sell an artifact for money and also teaches me of humbleness and no to be Greedy and not to be corrupt I am looking forward watching the 2nd Film.
