Astounding!

I started watching this series out of te gate, and as all long running tv shows it has had its highs and lows, but last night's episode was one of the highest it has ever been.

Not only was Coulson more of a protagonist, but also they shot the entire episode in Film Noir style, even the narration was present, it was a mix breed of "The Maltese Falcon" with Marvel-like science fiction, old fashion gun executions, and very well executed humor, which made this really spectacular.

I will rate this episode a 10/10.

It is a bittersweet feeling to know this series is ending, but I am happy to see they are not pulling any punches, and they are delivering on their promise to go out with a a bang!

It's really sad to see how underrated and underappreciated this show is. The writing is very creative and they have a new story and creative storylines to tell each season and they go to new places and times and try different thing and it works really perfectly and doesn't feel repetitive. Just doesn't get the praise it deserves.

It was an awesome episode. Black and white theme handled really well. All the acting was amazing. Right now Sousa is my favorite but I need to see Fitz. I miss him so much.

This episode was awesome! the noir theme was handled well and it worked in the context of the show, the episode also has some really unexpected twists that for me contextualized the whole season and made it less than a decade hoping adventure and more of a connected narrative across time, I was so impressed with it! There were also quite a few fun moments, and the episode was visually stunning, all in all, the episode was just so well done!

Speechless!

Ive somewhat enjoyed AOS over the years. Not bein a fan, nor hater. But this episode was mindbending. I wont really say why or what it involves, You just have to watch it. Its really hard to dive into anything without hinting why i liked this episode so much.

Ming-Na has always been one of my favorite asian descending actors, And she getting more developed, finally, is great.

I dont know what to say but from now on i will not ever miss an episode.

Outstanding!

This season is becoming much and much better every episode, the B&W theme, telling the story by Coulson and the twists are perfectly handled, I really praise the writers and the director, the best episode so far.

That original Noir vibe

Great name for the episode that harkens back to the original movie feel with Robert Mitchum and Jane Greer.

Better than ever!

It's amazing that the final season of Shield has been the BEST season. This episode is quite probably my favorite episode of the entire series. A black and white, noire mystery? Woah!

Out of the Past

Warning: Spoilers
Unless you are going to completely parody the black and white, old movie concept like Family Guy has done, I am just sick of seeing this because it never leads to good television and just comes off as lazy. Noire is also not out of style to the point that this would be fresh anyway, as we've had movies recently win Oscars in this style, and countless dramas have turned to this pointless story device.

Agents of SHIELD is just lost this season and while I will never complain about there being Marvel shows on TV, there should always be more than there is, this is just not getting the job done anymore.

Warning: Spoilers
This show has officially jumped the shark (for an unprecedented 3rd time). That makes it apropos that this episode was set in the 50's. Btw: They're probably still in the framework. Just click your heels together three times...etc, etc.

Why would anyone make a black and white episode.
ketillgudmunds17 May 2021
The whole episode is in black and white. I couldn't really watch it, it was so bad. Fast-forwarded through the whole episode to get an overview of what happened.
