Works better than it has a right too
CubsandCulture1 November 2021
Both sides of this episode end up working better than the script. The Stepford Wives-isque story with Sam is surprisingly funny and despite being shortchanged even a little creepy. Likewise, Jack-Donatello don't have a ton of scenes together and the bonding moment is a little forced on the page. But the actors and the director manage to put together a little compelling sequence between the two.

Winchesters just don't get to be happy
StorieLuver15 March 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This episode reminded me of the Season 12 episode "Regarding Dean," in which we saw Dean actually pretty happy, but only at the cost of not being himself. In this episode, we saw Sam (or rather, "Justin") take his turn at the same scenario. Speaking of being happy or not: This is NOT the fallout I was expecting from last week's episode. Sure, it's understandable that Bambi Boy is somewhat "off" after his change in status, but Sam seems to be taking things REALLY hard. And the really strange part is that Dean actually seems to be fine, when last week he was literally screaming that it was his fault Michael was loose. Shouldn't we be seeing a bit more angst on Dean's part over all those deaths last week? And did Dean somehow lose part of his brain when Micheal left? Feed a snake bacon? Test whether someone has a soul or not based on their snack food choices? C'mon, Dean can be comical, but he's not stupid! Originally, I was planning on giving this episode a solid "7," because it was a little too goofy for my tastes, but then I saw the final minute. That conclusion reminded me about something I read back in the fall, where one of the show runners teased that Michael actually WASN'T this season's Big Bad. Did we finally get the big reveal of who that actual is at the end of this episode? Here's hoping! Final thoughts: What is with the Clark Kent glasses this season? Once on Dean in "Mint Condition" and twice now on Sam in this episode and "Lebanon." The last time we saw our boys in eyewear, it was because the glasses we enchanted to see hellhounds. This is just silly. But oh that ponytail!!

WTF?
amandahenderson-9329515 March 2019
I haven't watched Supernatural since the debacle that was season 6. Glad to see that the boys are still alive and well... but seriously, how the F does Sam still have his 1995 haircut?

Loved it

Warning: Spoilers
This episode may be one of my favourites in the entire series. I loved seeing the dynamic between Jack and Dean, as well as Cas and Sam. I think learning more about what jack was feeling in regards to losing part of his soul was really interesting.

But the main reason this episode was amazing, was Sam and Cas. The storyline was amazing. We saw Cas solve a case, as well as win a fight, which we haven't seen in a very long time. Normally, we know of Dean and Cas's relationship, but this episode really shone light onto Cas and Sam's relationship as brothers, and I think that was really special.

Sam goes to a happy place

I've been a die hard fan since the show was first released. The reviews are being too harsh in my opinion. I was actually impressed by Jared's acting and surprisingly caught myself laughing. Usually it's Jensen who plays quirky and funny but it was a nice twist.

Hilarious bizarre one
UniqueParticle29 March 2020
I've been a fan of Supernatural for at least 6 years and this is one of the best ones since some of the older episodes! I laughed at least 5 different parts which is great especially for a show that's usually dark. Peace of mind feels like a classic Twilight Zone with a great Supernatural vibe!

Ok, what's going on???
tyou3215 March 2019
Ever since the break, these last two episodes are just weird...as in not good. Has there been a switch in writers/directors or something? The dialogue is just insanely bland and it just doesn't feel like Supernatural. Dean Cast and Sam just aren't themselves. The talk between Donatello and Jack is just so flat, it literally put me to sleep. What's going on???

Something new but falls flat
shwetafabm5 August 2020
I liked seeing Sam and Dean separate. We don't see much of Sam and Cass. It had some funny bits but the end of their plot was just so...unimpressive. Also i can't stand anymore nerfing, i can't, Cass can make then fall asleep with a touch but the writers think we want a boring action scene. I get it, him just tapping them is boring too but the fight scene is worse. As for Dean and Jack it was too much talk, its too much melodrama.

analakhssassi18 March 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Since the 300 episode everything is weird: castiel who talk weirdly, people vanishing weirdly (like mary winchester), and rowena who go and back just like that, we having a teasing of john but nothing after, in this episode we have the problem: a man who "control minds"; but we don't know how(he said that he heard voices) but nothing more to explain, and even his dauther have the same power, and more weirldy he got other powers like throwing people... and the show is more and more dramatic

Okay
Floridasunshine8715 March 2019
This episode is okay but not the best and it doesn't show Dean that much in this episode just a couple of scenes. It mostly showed Sam, Cas and Jack. This is my first time writing a okay review since i wrote one bad review from Season 11 Episode 20.
