God Bless our Souls

Absolute tear jerker. Words cannot begin to explain how emotionally impactful this was to myself but how it may be for others. From character arcs being fulfilled to emotions being played with, this may be one of the greatest episodes of Orange is the New Black.

Best image of the series

Warning: Spoilers
SPOILER - I have emblazoned in my memory the image of Fig passing the "abort" pill to the immigrant in the detention center. Doesn't matter that neither speak each other's language. No words are needed. Fig's character growth has flipped a 180° From the beginning of the series. A gruff, non-caring, no nonsense, warden to helping a fellow woman in need. Pure humanity. Joe Caputo compassion rubbed off on Fig.

So important

Well done for highlighting the horror & injustice happening in America today under ICE. Amazing writing, sad, emotional, dramatic and still funny in parts. I've watched Orange is the New Black since it's debut and I am so pleased to see it is really going to end on a high.

This episode really moved me to actual tears. It was so good I had to pause it just to call my mom and tell her how much I love her.

ICE is filled with disgusting wastes of life. Great episode though.

Great episode. Made me even angrier (didn't know it was possible) at our horrible government. I was in tears. The stories really got to me this episode. Just watch it and you'll know how utterly inhumane the US is (now especially)

How can People be so evil?
jtkirk16112 August 2019
How can the judges, the ICE agents, the prosecutors and everyone else who participates in these atrocities sleep at night. I never believed in monsters until Trump was elected.

Felt like a documentary

Warning: Spoilers
My wife and I cried our eyes out through most of this episode. Red, Lorna, McCullough, Shani, Nicki, Karla. The list goes on. Our hearts go out to these fictional characters who are living out the lives of real people. Those poor kids in court. Last season felt like it was tied up nicely, this season feels like it was made simply to send a message. Telling everyone to wake up.

Wow.

Purely for dramatic effect Warning: Spoilers
The acting in this episode is great but the portrayal of the immigration system is highly inaccurate. This whole last season has been propaganda against ICE. Having worked closely with that organization in the past it's easy to see how this episode is purely politically driven. We have even stepped away from the focus of the inmates which this show was originally focused on. It's unfortunate the inmates took backseat to the immigration story line. Again the acting is great but the political bias is just unnecessarily harped on.

The final scene is masterpiece
franseparovic17 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The show lost its taste thought the seasons, we know, but this episode and this last scene is so powerful and well acted and written that gives you chills. The song in the end, the mexican iconic "cucurucu paloma" in the voice of Gaby Moreno is so sad and delicate, and so original within the weemen trying to go on with their lives.. and the image of Piper running throuh the hall trying to find her pasion is pure european cinema style with the Spanish sountrack and the touching lesbian kiss. Requires mature and sophisticated audience this show, and this episode very ideed

It doesn't make sense that someone we think is bad will always be bad. He could be better

Orange is the New Black Season 7 Episode 11

Review : Invisible, sometimes the good of man is invisible to us. We don't see the good in people because somewhere we don't want to see the good in people. Today's episode is based on a similar story. Sometimes we feel good enough to help someone we don't know. It has been said in the episode to start in a new way by eliminating all the old mistakes. It says a lot, just needs to pay close attention to the episode and understand what is being tried.

Acting : Everyone has shown good enough acting and every actor and actress, whether he is the main character or the supporting character, has done enough justice to his own character. Every actor-actress has tried to show their best work in the episode which I like very much.

Direction : What I want to say about the director is that there is a lot of work pressure on the director and he tries to get the best work out by uniting every actor and actress.Which is why we get to see so many beautiful episodes. I would like to thank the director of this episode very much for gifting us with such a beautiful episode.

Story : I know I've said a lot of good and bad things to the writers throughout this series. But when it comes to this episode I have to say that the writers are trying to finish the story of this whole series very well and I think they are fully successful in their endeavors. I am very happy to say that the writers have written the story of this episode very beautifully and intelligently. By showing this episode I would like to thank the writers very much that they wrote the story of the episode in such a beautiful way.

Dialogue : The only thing I have to say about the dialogue of the episode is that the person who wrote the dialogue has done a great job. Some of the dialogues used in this episode have filled my mind and I am overwhelmed with sorrow. So I would like to thank the person who wrote the dialogue.

Background Score : Not a very good one and not a very bad one.

Soundtrack : Pretty fine.

Cinematography : Good enough.

Editing : Pretty fine.

Lighting : Good.

Overall Episode : Judging by all, I gave this episode ten stars out of ten.

Absolutely ridiculous political pandering and preaching.
coltsw-108035 June 2022
I would be amazed if anybody who watches this show actually believes that ICE agents act like they do on this show. Why not kick it up a small notch and, during the ridiculous juvenile detention hearings, have the ICE bullies torture the unaccompanied small children while the judge berates them from the bench. It would be so much more needlessly dramatic if those tiny kids were screaming and bleeding while the wrath of the government lands on them.

Sure, the government does a lot of ridiculous stuff, especially in the past year and a half, but if the writers had simply stayed with an accurate and truthful portrayal of the situation this episode could have shined a light on how things are done without getting all pearl-clutching and weepingly indignant. Only the hopelessly gullible will swallow this steaming loaf.

Ask yourself this question: what other country on earth allows immigrants to just enter without procedure and then hands over money and benefits?

Show use to be entertaining and fun, now it's depressing and cultural political. They are serious issues and messed up, but not entertaining. Season 7 is boring

Inaccurate political BS!
vradenburgjerry5 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This show was good until is started spewing this false political propaganda. Obviously the creators don't really understand how ICE handles immigration and how they especially handle children! It should of just stuck to what it was good at. Which wasn't much. Also supporting abortion, Fig decides To get an abortion after experiencing a situation that rarely to never happens. What a weak display of character. This was just an awful episode to compliment an awful season. Glad to see the series end especially seeing where it was headed.
