The first season was slow but interesting. This season I almost stopped watching due to the characters becoming more annoying. It also seemed that it was more of a woman empowering(no matter what) and male bashing(even when trying to do whats best) for team. These kids wanted take down parents but kept reconnecting with them behind "friends" back. But I am gonna try and watch this 3rd season since they bringing in a real villain like Morgan le Fay.

Please give us a season 3. People hate on this show because it's teen drama but that's silly because it's intentional just deal with for the comic book weirdness. Overall there is a lot of goodness here. Worth a shot

I just finished binge-watching this season finale, and I AM HOOKED! The first season was so-so, not bad, just slightly boring. But with this new season, I really hope that it'll become much better onward! (y)

Season Two Review

So, how do I feel about "The Runaways" at the conclusion of the second season, as opposed to the end of the 1st? Less positive than I did, I suppose although I will probably be hanging around for the third run.

Why Is that? I suppose it's that over this second run, familiarity has settled in and the episode plots begin to repeat themselves. I'm sure that during this season, each of the kids ends up back at home at some point, only to escape or leave and come back to the house. There are some massively unrealistic moments in this series, (away from the fantasy elements), the corrupt cops shooting up the entrance of a hospital with no repercussions, for one. I also think I'd have preferred if they had drawn a line under the "Jonah" storyline and moved on to something different, rather than keeping that story on the go. I also, don't really buy many of the children have legitimate anger for their parents, given the way the story has explained Pride's relationship with Jonah. Yes, they sacrificed a number of children over the years, but once you understand that they did it out of fear towards an Alien invader, who was threatening their kids, I feel like they would start to come around a little more than they have.

The shows sparky dialogue, which was a highlight of the first season, is also suffering here from too much repetition. It appears like the third season will again focus on the group opposing Jonah, and the Alien scheme, "Captain Marvel" has opened the Skrull door though, so there's something there that can be used.

Unfortunately, though I'll be back for the 3rd season with an open mind, I feel little the inability to grow and change is eventually going to hamstring this show.

Warning: Spoilers
At least we got a little bit of action here, but overall this was a mess of a finale. Too many character alignments shifts that weren't shocking or entertaining, just annoying.
