What are the odds?
Crit627 October 2020
What are the odds of 15 "different" reviewers having reviewed practically all the same movies? Hmm, that tells you a lot about a movie when "reviews" have to be paid for.

GAR!
rsvp3217 October 2020
BAGE! Worse than anything Asylum movies have ever produced, and that's pretty bad.

Friends and production crew gushing reviews can't save this one! Terrible acting, directing, plot, premise.

Absolute garbage
na-0906915 September 2021
A typical American "comedy" in which the acting of the players looks like an elementary drama school improvisation game and the main plastic characters can't seem to express themselves without using at least 10 variations of the word "fuck" every 10 seconds and the so-called comedy aspects consist for example of people puking and a man urinating in the presence of a woman; your typical toilet humour. The so-called jokes, phrases and comedy acting are sanitised and 100 times sterilised from a time way back in American film history when the jokes were still fresh and original.

Such a fun comedy!
craigahrens13 August 2020
Holy cow! This film was so fun to watch. The writer/director, Christopher Sakr does a great job in telling the story and at a good pace. For me, this terrific comedy never hit a flat spot in the road. I really enjoyed the actors. They were all very good and enjoyable to watch. The film also had some nice twists that I wasn't expecting. I clearly give film a thumbs up!

Tension & humor

This film had a great mix of elements. The tension was balanced perfectly with the humor. It was very well acted, and the cinematography added to the overall tone of the film. Very entertaining. Definitely worth a watch!

Timely, engaging and suspenseful.
evelyne-86 August 2020
During these interesting times, this film felt very present. The lead character Angela is working as an assistant and is forced to help Abel to deliver a briefcase. This film was well-acted, suspenseful, and timely seeing the protests in Portland today. The indie filming with grit and handheld shots worked in its favor making us feel part of the story and engaged in Angela's struggle. Well worth your time.

Counterintelligence has a lot of fun with the spy/espionage genre. Some good lines and a breakneck pace keep you on the edge of your seat. This film is well worth your time!!

solid indie thriller

Unpredicatable and well acted spy type thriller. The handheld camera is used to great effect. It's set in Portland and it's a great city to shoot in. little bits of humor throughout give some tension release.

Excellent Indie Film
beemtoaustin11 August 2020
Christopher Sakr's latest film couldn't be more perfect for what we are experiencing now across the US, not only in Portland where this film takes place. But it's more than a historic snapshot of the 2016 election. Good performances and enough plot twists kept this viewer engaged with some good laughs throughout.

A Great Dark Comedy
NUDavis859-118 November 2020
A brilliantly bold dark comedy full of twists and turns. The writing was smart. The characters were well rounded and the situations they were put in were amazingly funny if you have a dark sense of humor.

A solid indie thriller
harriscalvin-127 August 2020
Counterintelligence was a solid indie thriller. Director Christopher Sakr did a fantastic job pulling the best performances from all of his actors. The film takes you on a journey with lead actor (Able), played by Brian Adrian, kidnapping a working assistant Angela (played by Sharae Foxie) on a suspenseful ride that eventually tries to answers the question as to what's inside the briefcase Able is carrying. The editing (a nice retro feel), music, & camerawork were all on point.

A film for this time in our country
Movies_And_Frights7 October 2020
This movie is thrilling and hilarious. Great direction and performances all around. The "politician" made me want to throw him out the window in his final scene. Great mashup of throwbacks and retro style going on here. A defined artistic vision and one that was executed well. I had several laugh out loud moments.....and an equal amount of thrills. There is a particular stand off scene that really got me. Very solid and well made indie film.

This was a really fun comedy-thriller with a great set-up. I was hooked early and the film kept me engaged the whole way. It has a terrific cast and script. And I loved the deft balance between the comedy and suspense. Just an all around excellent film!

Fun entertaining suspenseful film.

Entertaining thriller with comedy moments woven in. Kept my interest and intrigue set at a time just after an election, so its a timely premise. Recommended indie film to watch if you like suspenseful films like I do.

A cool indie
joeljori31 August 2020
I really enjoyed watching this movie. Laughed a lot and loved watching the actors. Aside from that, it was beautifully shot, edited and I loved the score.

It´s a story about Able who has to deliver a briefcase. He kidnaps Angela and it turns into an absurd ride with a lot turns and weird characters.

If you are into original and funny stories as well as indie´s, you should definitely check this one out.

Fun Indie Thriller
wjaywill11 September 2020
It's hard to do a good spy thriller, especially on an indie budget. I thought this film was very solid. It had a great build-up of tension with a couple of humorous moments spread throughout. There was a decent amount of parts I didn't see coming. I think this is one worth checking out if you are a fan of some classic espionage.
