A great story, superb content I think is remained half baked in this thrilling and engaging Netflix movie. It is not that I have not liked it but I have watched an opportunity lost to make it more interesting.

As the second half starts and a revelation is made the film becomes interesting but while investigation the investigator played by Sharad Khelkar has a chance to expose much bigger which I think makers didn't care because they want to concentrate only on the love-hate relationship of Sunny Kaushal and Yami Gautam. Both of them have did justice to their character I think I am disappointed by the climax.

I'm not Indian and I don't know any actors in this film, so I can be honest about it.

I'm not Indian and I don't know any of the actors in this film, so I'll say that those who gave it a 10/10 score are biased or maybe even lying in their reviews. It's not a bad movie, but it's not an amazing must-watch either. There are still a lot of plot holes. I got pretty sleepy during the 40+ minutes of the movie and the romance parts were boring and excessive. Some scenes even seemed irrelevant and didn't contribute to the main story. But hey, it's Bollywood, known for its dramatic romance stories.

The twist was pretty good and entertaining, and I was really impressed by the acting skills of the female lead. The makeup team also did an incredible job, as you could clearly see the difference in Neha Grover's face before and during her pregnancy. Her face looked puffy but natural, and I've seen many of my friends look like that during pregnancy, so I thought the makeup was really well done.

The movie gets a higher rating from me because of Yami's performance. As for the male actors, none of them stood out. The actor who played Ankit didn't steal the show as well as Yami did. He played his role decently, but he wasn't impressive. For me, he could easily be replaced by another actor without losing the essence of the film.

Nothing extraordinary but a nice interesting time pass

The concept of combining a heist film with a hijack film is quite new in Bollywood. However, it has got a 3rd angle to it that is pretty well brought out in the film and the entire drama that unfolds in the 2nd half is what the film is about.

Both Sunny and Yami have a twist in their characters that forms the usp of this film. What starts as a heist later turns into the 3rd theme of this film. The screenplay is pretty gripping . The twists may not be unpredictable but are still fun to watch. As a time pass, it was a decent entertainer never really allowing you to get bored.

Even the hijacking looks very weak, the characters who play the hijackers are weak but , all this was intentional. How? Watch the film to know.

It's not the smartest film on earth but as i said the twists are fun and enjoyable, something like an Abbas mustan film like Race .

Performances are good. Yami is the star of this film . Sunny too is good. Sharad gets limited screen space but is also good.

Overall, a decent one time watch twisty entertainer . Nothing extraordinary as critics are saying.

Diff from usual, a bit far fetched but Yami G & Shared K shine

This one is better than your average Bollywood masala movie where the good guys & the bad guys duke it out and then the audience is expected to leave satisfied when the good defeats the bad. Plot twist is interesting even if many of the ideas are far fetched. If you believe the unbelievable for sake of entertainment, then the performances will appeal to you. But I do wish the movie-makers had picked a non-give-away title.

Yami Gautam is of course an experienced actress and carries the movie on her shoulders. Shared Kelkar is great as usual in a small-ish role. Others are competent but not noteworthy.

This one is far better than 98% Bollywood movies.... A must watch

The acting was superb, and the storyline was intense and engaging.

I highly recommend this movie to anyone who loves a good revenge story with plenty of twists and turns. It's a thrilling ride that won't disappoint!

I appreciated how the movie didn't rely on gratuitous violence or gore, but rather on building tension and suspense through well-crafted scenes and excellent pacing. The cinematography also added to the overall immersive experience.

After "A Thursday" Yami gautam gave another solid performance. Sunny Kaushal did a decent job.

Note: First half is bit lengthy but second half will grab you to your seat.

Double trouble in the air with a hijack and a robbery

The plot of this movie is highly unusual considering that that it has a hijack and a diamond robbery going on simultaneously in flight but one must admit the movie keeps the audience engrossed throughout. After a lazy start showing the romance between Yami Gautam and Sunny Kaushal the pace picks up. Yami is a fun loving flight steward and Sunny is a businessman with shrewd plan up his sleeve. Both are on the same flight and there is mutual attraction between them. The flight is not all smooth as the plane is hijacked . In the ensuing confusion and chaos a robbery also takes place. What follows is action, suspense, surprises and twists and turns which keep you hooked and you don't feel the absence of songs, dances or comedy. There are some diamonds to be stolen and no one knows if they are fake or genuine. Not everything is convincing but the smooth narrative carries you through mainly because of the taut direction and fine acting of the lead couple. Sharad Kelkar as a law enforcement officer acts well as usual.

Director Ajay Singh has with him a tightly formatted screenplay and with some slick direction he has his audience riveted as the plot unfolds. This is a thriller to keep you engaged specially in the second half.

Who are these people giving poor and low reviews?

Such amazing and gripping movies are so rare in Bollywood. Instead on enjoying it and celebrating them, there are "some" people still rating it poorly. I'm sorry, who dropped these people on their head as a child? I'm sure they're fun at parties(not!).

Watch it for yourself and judge it. For me, I haven't watched a good Indian movie in a while. Most Hindi movies nowadays are cheap and poor rip offs of South cinema. Here's finally an original, respect and appreciate it if you want more. If you don't, the big actors will continue making crappy remakes and tag them as Family Masala!

This one is so gripping and engaging. I don't like to rate things 10 as nothing is perfect, but this movie comes quite close to the top tier.

The plot and execution is brilliant. Kudos to the director! Yami Gautam, no words to express how good she is. Time and time again she reminds us all about her skills. Bless her and hope to see lots of her in such great roles.

Should have been better

Anwar Says : After Radhika Apte , the new darling of OTT is Yami Gautam and she deserves it , has the capacity to carry the movie alone on her shoulders. CNKB is an aptly written heist and hijack drama which has the right flavour but misses the taste in between. The introduction of characters is perfect, story takes the shape and you are at the edge of your seat to know'what next' but after the hijack sequence, the story nosedived. Director Ajay Singh is in extra hurry to end it and in consequence leaves some loose ends.

Sunny Kaushal character as simpleton and heinous at the same time suits him. Sharad Kelkar is ok as Raw Officer. Cinematography is mostly done inside the plane and is upto the mark. Background score carries the desired tone .

Overall, it is a story that should have been better told , having both smart and dumb moments. Watch it for the twist and Yami Gautam. 6 out of 10 from me.

CHOR NIKAL KE BHAGA:-a fun filled, pulpy film with evident screenplay and acting deficiencies

Chor nikal ke bhaga is a crime drama thriller directed by ajay singh.

Yami gautam dhar is the backbone of this film. She emotes brilliantly throughout the film. All the performances are loud but yami makes us believe in her character. In the hospital scene, where she cries is one of the beautifully enacted scenes of the film. Sunny kaushal was decent, i was not completely convinced by his performance. Sharad kelkar in the second half brings much needed spice into the screenplay. Barun chanda and indraneil sengupta do their jobs perfectly.

Loud films do work well in these type of high pitch movies, but there is a difference between loud and crass acting. The hijackers in the plane were totally bad and incompetent. Their faces were masked, so the only thing you have is your voice and you totally blow that out. It was really bad. The screenplay in the first half was inconsistent and rushed. It really comes into its own in the latter half. The investigation starts, many twists are thrown at us which spices things up. Some twists work while some don't, but the film somehow feels incomplete, like i was kept wanting for more. A reason for the characters not being developed can also be given. They change their colours and shades, so it was smart to not give audiences a hint of who they are.

The cinematography and vfx is good. The camerawork automatically becomes good as the locations are pictureseque. The bgm is decent and apt.

This is a fun film which does not take itself too seriously and the audiences should do that too. This is a funride. Also , this can come up with a sequel, we are in for a cat and mouse chase between ankit and neha.

It's yamis hattrick after THURSDAY ,LOST and now this one ..again she played her character very well with her stunning expressions in all moods sunny equally gave her good support by playing in character very well

The content is purely a OTT one and makers have smartly released on OTT platform..the movie is gripping and had good pace..the climax is very well made and appropriate to the content..the movie is well made in a low budget format where major part was played in aeroplane

This weekend there are many choices like BHEED,KANJOOS MAKHICHOOS and this one let's see who nails the top.

Gripping, Engaging, amazing, fast pace and could be family movie.

Great movie with turn and twists. You may think that you have guessed the climax but no, still loat to happen.

It's been a long time of watching such a movie like Abbas Mustan used to make with so many twists (this has not not that much but still great) in the story.

Good: Acting is good by each and everyone.

Story and screenplay is the main lead here.

It's fast paced movie, story build up is quick and good.

Background score is good but still manages the pace of movie.

Editing looks upto the mark.

Screenplay and story is great.

No abusive language or adult scenes (it's been long time of such movie).

The twists are good and some times feel like ohh you know then you have another twist that what just happened.

Bad: Fortunately nothing much, whatever shown in the movie, seems to be related with the story.

Can't see anything bad in it.

Slow start to build but pays off at the end

The time to build the first part of story was same old same old but the twist at a specific point in this movie would change your direction to see this film. It is just as a pivot , you will also feel it once you see it.

The concept of anti-villian is getting famous and is in trend these days. If you had not watched the trailer it would give you chills . Netflix is really working to make some kind of breakthrough for bollywood cinema. By time they would also make some masterpiece which the whole world would appreciate.

The acting and the sound was bit of a strange as I could not relate with the actors. The diaglogue would have been more professional and would also settle and sell with the story. But the story was superb and the thrill to realize the pivot point was awesome.

At last , you could definitely watch with family and friends on the weekend with some light mood.

The twists and turns certainly makes things more interesting

If you can see beyond its glaring shortcomings, if you can forgive and forget its over the top and fractionally exaggerated dramatics, you'll have no difficulties enjoying whatever ride the movie has to offer.

I'll admit though that the sudden slew of twists and turns are quite interesting and make the overall experience more rewarding, provided you're not a seasoned spectator, because hardened buffs like us can see that sudden change of course coming from a mile away.

P. S. Yami Gautam Dhar once again delivered a compelling performance (following A Thursday; which I happened to love and admire); I hope she gets more such roles as she appears to be in her comfort space.

Enjoyable, entertaining watch

Grab your popcorns and enjoy this movie.

I had really low expectations from this movie. Seems they did not do much marketing. But this movie turned out to great surprise and easy watch.

You will be hooked to it from start. Unpredictable storyline full of twists and turns. No curse words, extra violence in the movie. Crisp editing and fast paced story. Great acting by Yami Gautam. Sunny kaushal fails to impress but story line is so strong that you forget bad acting. You won't even realise when 1.5hr movie finishes

Perfect watch for Friday night after hectic work week. Nice, enjoyable Bollywood movie after long time.

Popcorn time

If you are fan of unexpected twist and turns, if you are into something really unpredictable thriller then this plane is for you to fly on. Indian film industry is now progressing from day to day, trying everytime to manifest with a total different gig in thriller scheme of genre. Comprised of three different writers, this film came up with shocking and thrilling sequence of images. There are certain moments in film that took you to illogical and vague conclusion of film direction though the story writing is so twisted that you would barely acknowledge small loopholes. Very reluctant scene to me When Yami Gautam lost her very first born and there is so short burst span of emotional fallout. Always expected something nice and smart coming from Sharad Kelkar. I am personally a fan of him. Yami Gautam appearence was very natural and eventually elegant. Everyone tried too much to act real but there is something I dont know exactly what, missing. Furthermore the movie title appeared to be somewhat like sitcom which I dislike. The movie is perfect for family, Very few scenes exposed to very little voilence and cinematics were okayish. My all credits to the writers that came up with this mix of thriller, mystery, revenge and action picture.

Must to watch

It is a movie which will try to keep you grabbed till the end. The climax is already mind-blowing. You will experience goosebumps sometime in the mid. The revenge of the lady is neat, clear and unexpected. The actress is such a cute face that you will never think that she would have planned all the. I am giving 9 stars as in current era there are handful of Bollywood numbers coming up that you can actually watch. But this movie serves it worth. Well done the director and producer for the movie. More like these is needed in this growing India. I am already spreading word of mouth as promotion. And a thanks to VFX team as I do also belong to Vfx industry they have left no stones unturned for any of the aircraft shot.

Smoke and Mirrors

There must be something about Indian films that intrigues a foreign viewer. It could be the rhythmic musical score that easily attracts the viewer's ear. It could be the above par acting or the usually decent script. It could be all of the above.

That's why the viewer couldn't appreciate the film initially. Acting is lacklustre except for the lead actor Yami Gautam who nails her part as a flight stewardess who falls in love with a persistent guy. The other credible actor is the lead investigator.

In particular, the scenes inside the hijacked airplane have much to be desired. You feel that the hijackers seem to be just going through the motions without any air of authenticity.

But the film gets better from there particularly when the viewer finally finds out what's really happening and the plot becomes twisty. The viewer realizes why the hijackers act the way they do. The viewer doesn't expect how things turn out. The surprise improves his level of appreciation for the film.

Watch it and let's compare notes.

See, i has zero expectations from the movie, i thought it was just a simple hijack movie or something, and even the title of the movie is a little bit interesting but doesn't create hype to watch the movie, but what a masterpiece mannnn!!!! A must watch movie, the main component of the movie is the twists it contains, which will blow up your mind, especially the interval twist! And i am a huge fan of bollywood movies, but i must say this looks beyond bollywood, i actually didn't wanted to see rhis movie, but after some days of release, i got hell positive reviews about it and i just gave it a try, and has already became one of my favourite movies, and all the roles were well played, movie was very very well directed, especially the feel of the movie is dependent on the twists, and revealing things, for example, you watch something happening, you don't know why is it in the movie and how is it even connected to the story, but after some minutes, you get to know something more which connects the dots, and this happens for atleast 6-7 times, and i love this!!!! Absolutely go and watch it right now, what are you waiting for man!!!

Twists! turns! on this flight journey, but you might not need a seatbelt

Plot: Flight attendant, Yami Gautam, and her boyfriend, Sunny Kaushal, attempt a steal diamond whilst on a flight. What seemed like an easy job, gets complicated when the flight gets hijacked. Will they be able to stick to their plan? Is what the movie is all about.

This is a very fresh attempt and an original story that you rarely see these days in Hindi movie industry. Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga stays true to its storyline, a focused storytelling. The guy tries to woo the girl, they fall in love, there's a romantic song, they decide to marry and start a family, all this is taken care in the first 10minutes, and the story takes off as soon as the flight takes off on screen. Audience is hooked to the story as things are revealed in patches. In way they are entertaining, as there is hardly any dull moments for the viewers.

Good things: 1. Focused stroytelling - no BS! Or over-the-top action scenes or dialogues.

2. Original story (even if it's lifted the makers have done a good job) 3. Believable characters, Yami and Sunny have delivered exactly what the script demanded.

4. Will keep the viewers hooked.

5. You won't feel you have wasted your 2hours watching the movie.

Could have been different: 1. The way twists were presented seemed a bit plain. These were great twists, but could have been presented in a more dramatised way (dare I say it but an The Usual suspect'esqu ending would have made this movie a gem!)

2. An adrenaline pumping background scores during the movie would have been nice imho. (Something in recent time, Monica o'my darling had) such bgm kind of gives the viewers om-the-edge vibes!!

Conclusion:

The movie is good, could have been awesome but it's still is enjoyable. The movie unit deserve the appreciation for sticking to the storyline and not adding any unnecessary character development or melodrama. Viewers get what they expect after watching the trailer!

Considering the kind of unoriginal, masala flicks we are celebrating, this movie I hope stands out and the sequel (if it happens) becomes even better.

The movie is a 7.2, definately not 8.0 as the current rating is as of today.

The movie night not have that Wow factor, but it's still a well-made movie.

With a catchy title Netflix came up with this thriller.

Starting and plot seems basic in the beginning but something fishy starts showing up on the screen as the male lead(Sunny Kaushal) approaches Neha(Yami Gautam) and lures her in his trap.

Comes out that the whole thing is about a heist.

First half of the movie makes a very good built up for rest of the film. Screenplay is gripping and don't bore you even for a minute.

There is only one song in the film which is a treat to ears.

Story and screenplay are handled with care but there are lots of twists and turn which makes it hard at times to understand. A simple storyline would have worked.

Movie could have been better but as per Hindi Film Standards in the present scenario the movie is Good and earns a 7 easily.

. I highly recommend this movie to anyone looking for a thrilling and entertaining ride.

Could have expected a better plot

Firstly, i had high expectations thinking this won't be an average movie the Hindi cinema produces when I saw the trailer.

Unfortunately, i was let down and felt the story could have more solid with a tighter plot but the writers seem to have take us crowd for granted undermining their intelligence.

It's a nice story and a good attempt to make this movie and kudos to that and i appreciate that it is not an average masala movie that our cinema produces.

On the acting bit, i did not find anyone compelling including Yami Gautam. She is a fantastic actor but I felt she could had a lot of scope for her talent to reflect. Sunny Kaushal has talent but he was not at par with the kind of potential he generally possesses after watching his movie Gold. Sharad Kelkar as usual does a fine job but I felt he was under utilised and could have had a meatier role but he leaves his impact and in my opinion is the only saviour from acting perspective.

I am not revealing much on the plot to justify my review as this would land up spoilers and l do want the crowd to watch this movie because of its different.

You probably saw the hype and great reviews which made you decide to click on the movie on a Friday evening after work.

I have several issues with this movie, the first being what's up with the flight attendants wearing such short skirts? I mean the costume design folks must've seen a real life example right?

The first 30 mins of the movie made me cringe so badly that I started to reevaluate my lifestyle choices. The cringe romantic dialogues should not have been included in the first place, yet we have them. It's 2023 ppl, make better dialogues!

The rest of the film included me pressing the fast-forward button because it doesn't really forward the plot in any way.

The logical in the film seems to have been left behind at the baggage area and didn't it make it to the plane.

The main hero should definitely take up some acting lessons, as it would be for his own good.

I will admit I enjoyed the plot twice, but that is no excuse why I had to bear the whole movie just for that.

The VFX is quite nice and that's my take.

I feel like if they started slow and brought the pace up it would've been much better instead of starting at a fast pace (lure the audience in) then flashback into something slow then back again at the fast pace etc.

If you want to watch this movie, pls leave the logic out the door and bear the cringe dialogues.

If you have seen the movie, I'm sure you understand what I am talking about.

A crispy neat & tidy thriller that outsmarts you...!!!

A big surprise package for the weekend entertainment...After getting unnoticed for his work in "SHIDDAT" Sunny Kaushal is back with another quickie in his feather cap with a more effective and mean performance, copes well with the script and does provide a stellar role that doesn't get overshadowed... Yami has now become the queen of ott, whatever roles she got turned into a Midas touch...A well-balanced methodical act ... A worthy appreciation for a director for keeping cheap thrills or item numbers out and focusing on the plot with the camera and screenplay providing ample support... Overall a surprise package that stunts u with its unique storyline.
