This Season Has Really Hit Its Stride
mataidixiong3 November 2023
This episode understandably starts somewhat slow and this is good, it needed to. It really feels like all the branches came together here over the two seasons really. In fact, it feels like this show is coming to a conclusion which would be a shame, it has been consistently good to epic.

This episode has so many great moments, really funny ones too. It feels like this is the result when you get some great actors involved and give them a fun script to work with, they bounce off each other so well.

It definitely felt like a set up for the finale but it was done in a really fun way. I am really looking forward to the last episode and seeing where all of this comes to a head now that Loki has basically levelled up. If he isn't killed off, he might well become very important moving forward because of what he can now do.

I give it 10 points because I can't give it 20.

"Loki" Episode 5 of Season 2 is a perfect 10 out of 10, and if I could, I'd go as far as 20! This episode is a masterpiece of scriptwriting and storytelling. It expertly weaves together elements of time travel and multiverse theory, leaving us with a thrilling narrative that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats.

One of the most captivating aspects of this episode is the clever nod to "Back to the Future." The way the show integrates these references into its storyline is nothing short of sutil and brilliant.

The suspense in this episode is palpable, and it's impossible to look away. It's a rollercoaster of emotions as we witness the characters grapple with their destinies and the implications of their actions. The character development in this episode is top-notch, making us feel more connected to the characters than ever before.

Tom Hiddleston's portrayal of Loki is, as always, exceptional. He has truly made the character his own and brought a depth and complexity to Loki that fans adore. It's safe to say that Loki is not only the standout character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but he's also the driving force behind this incredible series.

In conclusion, "Loki" is a true gem in the Marvel universe. It combines outstanding scriptwriting, nostalgic references, suspenseful storytelling, and exceptional character development. If you're a Marvel fan, this episode is a must-watch, and it cements "Loki" as one of the best series in the entire Marvel franchise.

I guess we're both selfish then
Trey_Trebuchet7 November 2023
First off, Tom Hiddelston is the best he's been in this universe. This episode alone is maybe one of his best performances to date. These past couple of episodes have sort of re-established him as the main character, and in some ways made the opening episodes better.

Owen Wilson is likewise very good! I've really grown to like his acting in this series. It's good seeing him doing something out of the norm again.

But this isn't just a great MCU series, it's a great series in general. A very fascinating concept that feels super fresh and feels like it actually has really high stakes. My only hope is that the finale this week doesn't play things too safe. I'm excited, because I still don't know how this season is going to end, but the way things ended here has me just a little worried. The season has been excellent so far though so maybe I need not worry.

It's also just exceptionally directed. It doesn't at all feel like an MCU property. Non-Marvel aficionados would probably enjoy this as well.

Also, Orobouros is one of the best mcu characters in recent memory.

Some truly haunting imagery here as well. Such an unpredictable episode. It feels good to watch a marvel property with high stakes that isn't predictable.

Loki's INFINITY WAR
simpforhidd3 November 2023
I love this show. Definitely the best MCU series and it never loses its quality. CGI, theme musics, script, directing, acting... they are all amazing and Tom Hiddleston carry the MARVEL cinematic universe. The only thing I can say for this episode is that it has the atmosphere of Infinity War. The final episode will be Endgame and Loki will most likely be God of Stories or Loki who remains. This is extremely exciting because this character is definitely wasted in terms of power. Lastly He's not alone anymore, he experienced true loss, time and time again. Now he knows that caring for someone else is not weakness, it's a strength, and that's when he becomes truly powerful. BEST CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT.

Best episode of the season
ahmadmobeenqazi3 November 2023
This episode captured all what Loki the TV series stands for - redemption arc, friendship, time and its relationship with and impact on us, and finally, the inherent complexities of existing and wanting a purpose.

Tom Hiddleston was on another level in this episode, and deserves some acting nominations.

The stage for the finale is set beautifully. Can't wait for the next week on how they tie all the plot lines together. This also sets up the next phase of Marvel films wonderfully. I, for one, am super excited to see if and how Loki returns to the movie.

10/10 episode. Hyped for next week, let's go!

AMAZING!!!

Warning: Spoilers
One word : " AMAZING ! " 10/10 episode. The plot the stories everything is just too good.

This can be said to be the most successful series and what is worth mentioning here is the pain on Loki's face as he watched all his friends and the people he loved disappear one by one. The last time I saw pain on Loki's face was before he was killed by Thanos. What a wonderful and emotional episode.

If I had to do it all over again, I would choose to watch all the episodes of this series again and again to see carefully if I missed any clues or details, even the smallest details. No one can hate Loki anymore when they see how much physical and mental pain he has suffered

WE LOVE YOU LOKI !

One of my absolute favorite episodes
lpngidi3 November 2023
I loved this episode most of all so far. Because for once we actually got an episode that was more character driven, by Loki who the Loki series is about( or at least should be). I think my biggest problem with the whole Loki series I general was that really. I didn't mind when they brought in sylvie because she is a Loki, but I had quite the issue with Loki's whole story having to be set aside in order to prop up Kang as the next big bad. This season didn't complicate the whole Multiverse/time travel thing too much so even if you don't like sci-fi timey wimey stuff you'll get it. We actually got to see how people in these timelines live and how scared and shocked they were to see their reality disappear. Honestly what a great episode 👏 and Tom Hiddleston deserves his Emmy for his performance as Loki. He's always brought life to Loki , but in this episode in particular he was flexing his acting muscles like crazy. The rest of this cast including Ke Huy Quan, Owen Wilson, Wumni Mosaku, Sophia di Martino and Eugene Cordero were incredible as per usual. Not to mention Loki season 1 and 2 have been consistently visually appealing and cinematic. Moreover the score is always on point thanks to the genuis of Natelie Holt. You can tell a lot of effort was put in this project and that makes me happy overall. Can't wait for the finale.

Probably the Best One
MamadNobari973 November 2023
Really engaging and fast-moving episode without a boring scene.

Loki kinda finally feels like the main character in his show and his character arc in this episode shows how far he's come from The Avengers.

It's a really exciting episode and makes you more excited for the finale, but still feels underwhelming when these really excellent plot points could've had more buildup with more episodes for the season.

The problem is, that the pacing is sometimes so fast that it feels like the side characters don't get enough characterization, if at all. The runtime is the same as the first season, but season 1 felt like it packed way more storytelling and revelations than this.

This could've been one of the best seasons of television if they gave it at least 2 or 4 more episodes. But characters die before the audience gets to know them and care about them.

Nevertheless, this episode is probably the best of the season so far and I like it a lot because it's a really chill episode with great visuals and choice of music, and of course, Loki is at the forefront of this episode.

Another big disappointment is that I Know that this isn't gonna have any real impact or effect on the MCU as a whole. It's funny that I saw the reactions of a lot of people to the previous episode saying (mostly joking) "Well guys, the MCU is over" and all that. Because back when season 1 came out, I also thought this show was gonna have a real impact on the movie side of MCU, but guess what? 2 years and many movies later, it had near zero impact on it. Like they don't even make you feel how dire and grand the deleting of branches is in this show alone, let alone in the MCU.

If they actually made the decision to let this show lead to real change in the MCU, like replacing Kang with Doctor Doom after the event of this season, or any other actual big changes caused by this, then I would be less disappointed. Like even WandaVision had more impact on the MCU and the multiverse than this show. I hope this is leading to something good, because as much as these past two episodes were good, this season didn't have enough time to deliver a well-developed plot and characters.

Nonetheless, this episode was really good and I hope they don't do the Disney Plus tradition of giving us a rushed 30-minute finale, and deliver and actually well-written and satisfying final episode instead.

MARVEL PERFECT POINT IN TIME
SlummyT3 November 2023
Where to start with this episode incredible from start to finish. I haven't felt this sense of fearful and uneasiness high stakes since that of infinity war and endgame. Loki has done nothing but intrigued me from the first episode till now. This episode just proves how wrong you can be about the necessarity of a series about loki.

The story for this episode is emotional, frustrating and physiologically moving. My first thoughts of loki season 2 were "does there need to be a season 2" but after finishing this episode I am exhilarated for the season finale and quite honesty it can't come soon enough.

The direction this whole series has taken has been nothing but amazing from episode 1 of the first season to this episode, the character they have created from nothing more then a villainous side actor to the main hero of his own story.

My honest review of why I gave this episode a 10 is nothing more then nowadays It can be difficult to feel excitement or intrigue for a series as most people say "quantity over quality" but for loki it is different and I hope I can say that it was nothing more then incredible come episode 6 (the season finale)

Thank you for taking the time to read my review hopefully see you in the season finale...

I DON'T KNOW HOW TO SAY BUT 10/10
Cirdl33 November 2023
THIS EPISODE IS FIRE! Since the release of Loki Season 2, I was really interested with the series because they have some visual, story, characters and etc that are really really good. This episode it just wholesome, while watching this eps I cannot shut my mouth down, and they always make me think, not only me but maybe the "audience". Like: "what just happen", "WHAT?". I think this is the best episode yet in the season 2.

Season 2 story is quite interesting, kinda different with other marvel movie(I really cannot explained how but it is just feel different), I hope they'll make a great ending for this season.

The lack of this episode that is, this episode is too short.

Almost There...!
SHU_Movies3 November 2023
This was a great penultimate episode to the season! It's exciting, mind-blowing, awesome, and just everything the show is all about! It has beautifully set-up the Season Finale, and was one epic and emotional ride, not missing a single beat after Episode 4's jaw-dropping cliffhanger ending!

At its core, this episode is intimate. Although the story is, of course, very large-scale, it has a heavy focus on the characters, and relationships between them. There are many moments that pull on the heartstrings, and I'm genuinely so excited for the final episode of Season 2

Going into this episode, I didn't know where they were going to the story, but it was a great choice by the writers and creative team! Regardless of how the finale is, this season had been great!

fun, great acting, and Interesting, but feels a bit rushed
namob-436733 November 2023
This show continues to have the best acting of any entertainment, and that is also what keep saving the story. Imagine this show and all this madness with lesser actors?

For some reason the episode runtime is shorter than usual, which is strange because this intermezzo would need it to be more dragged out. And that is also my main complaint of the episode; this feels rushed. The writers wanted Loki to get to a revelation and have an epiphany, but they never build it up properly to get to that point. Or, and this is an interesting counter argument; why not jump to the epiphany directly and skip over this entire episode?

With that said this is still very interesting, and weird how they are setting up the ending. Will Loki become the new lord of time and space?

7/10 and still very good, but a bit rushed and unless we had great actors this madness would barely be watchable.

Seems like they ran out of things to write about
shaylevy-448343 November 2023
The first season was amazing and overwhelming. This episode showed how much they are just trying to replicate the success of the first season but there isn't any originality.

It doesn't reach the level of the first season of Loki and I almost fell asleep in this episode. Every story repeats itself over and over again and it's like we are in a time loop. It's a shame they didn't invest in the writing as much as they did in the first season.

This episode is meant to fill time. They could have conveyed the message of the episode in half the time. I'm also not clear where Loki's character comes into play in this episode. They turned him into a bland and boring character.

Masterpiece! This is a kind of art.
jinxiwings6 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Time... timetraveling... always a really difficult and exciting content and I think... this series rocked it! I love the whole series, but this episode has something special and still keeps you thinking after watching. It is really a masterpiece. Many people try to figure out, what consequences the plot will have on the MCU. Pls... wait and let yourself be surprised, instead of beefing, now is the wrong time to figure it all out. I have my own expectations and wishes and we all have to wait to see an exact whole picture. :D

The only thing, that makes me sad a little... I wished so much for Loki and Sylvie to come together as lovers. Right behind reading background information about the romance between them, especially that it should be Lokis first and true lovestory. It is cute and very special. So many couples in the MCU don't last, nearly all... so why not giving Loki and Sylvie the hell of a lovestory? Especially, because a Loki should exist only to lose, it would rock hard, if they managed it. Iam not into much romantic, but in season 1 they both catched me so hard. It seems that the romantic plans are being discarded? The chance to catch it up in one last episode is very improbable. :( so sad!

But... I loved to see everybody from the group in their timelines! Interesting, how they lived before. Nice, how they all came together, growing close as a group, finally being friends. Since it came out, all persons in the TVA are variants, I wanted to know, who they were in their timelines. And damn... Mobius nailed it. I love his Jet Ski passion and his sons! No wonder, he can handle Loki... haha! Awesome.

I want more! Can there be a third season, please? So many open questions, can't wait to learn and see more about all of them!!!

Even if some expectations are unfulfilled, it is still a masterpiece! Not only this episode, the whole series is one hell of art! Thanks for this.

Makes you think
casperfalkenstrom-058923 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
So ep. 4 was great now everyone is wondering, what's gonna happen. The mystery is unraveling, and things start to come full circle. Ep. 5 takes ep 4 and professes the plot in a perfect way by fiddling with the main theme time.

It is so entertaining when a show, really puts focus on the underlying messages of the story by not telling them directly and at the same time, makes you the connecter of all the little things in the story instead of just telling us. It follows the old saying don't tell it show it.

Can't describe this episode better, perfectly cut by now telling us everything we have already seen or been told. Instead the ep. Progresses the story, keeps pace, and lets the audience fill in the rest.

I was speechless the first 5 min after this episode!

I haven't seen a good story in a while glad to see this series has me hooked just upset there's not that many episodes willing to watch more. I love O. B. Character I wonder where that's going so tech savvy and seems like a lot of potential where his story will go next. Loki part seems like they're really building a great foundation for him and it feels like they're gonna take it far and to a great place I can't wait to see what's next I like how Sylvies character has loki contemplating more I can connect with the characters idk maybe it's just me but I really am enjoying these series good job everyone there.

Weaving it together
TeleKinese3 November 2023
Finally something that gives back this warm feeling that was so appealing in the first season. A story more based on the glue between characters than on just running around in exotic sceneries. Hopefully the last part keeps up this high level where you can really feel that lives matter. Also a fresh counterpart to the previous episode. Season 01 also had these surprising contrasts between the episodes. Luckily the actors also didn't overdo it this time with being theatrical which made them much more palatable after portraying all those extroverted characters they are at the TVA. Glad that this bunch of great actors were not again wasted on some typical Marvel Hitandruncatchmeifyoucan episode. It had some more artistic moments definitely reminding one of the last Oscar winner.

I can re-write history
shaahin_ghaderi3 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
So if loki can control the time-slipping and it's not about time and space, but it's about the connection to people he love/care, is this means that he can go back before he attacked earth and prevent everything so we have avengers all together against much bigger enemy?

Is this put the whole marvel franchises story in different perspective?

We're gonna see him and thor double dating in future with their women?

It's alot to take in. Maybe I'm exited or maybe I don't know what I'm feeling right now. The story-line is getting too complicated with endless possibilities and I hope it doesn't get out of hand.

I have no idea what is going on, but im loving it!
rich-121696 November 2023
So,,um maybe someone can explain to me what is going on. I am super lost. But the episode was fantastic. Loved it and was so disappointed when it was over.

How is loki just able to travel to any place and time without any sort of powers or technology? Time slipping. Yes, but what is Time slipping exactly. Everyone else has experienced everything he has. Especially female Loki. SO why is male Loki the only one able to do this?

The multiverse is supposed to be collapsing into 1 timeline right? Well it sure is taking its sweet time with it.

But i dont understand why Loki would demand to return to the tva. Why does he want Mobius to lose his family and return to a life of boredom at the tva?

Also...So the purpose of the TVA was to prune all other timelines right. So why did the TVA create the loom, which creates the multiverse..only to prune the multiverse down to 1 timeline. IF they prune every other universe how are there so many variants?

From season 1 and 2 we never got any answers. Maybe im not supposed to think about it. Amd just take Loki's word that all will be clear someday?

Problems and questions on the timeline
ksjp-163-4049334 November 2023
This episode's execution is still excellent. Outstanding production design and VFX. Except for the acting of a few actors, there isn't much to complain about.

However, there are two key questions that need to be solved before I can appreciate the show.

1. If Sylvie wishes to enjoy her own, quiet life. Why doesn't she return to Asgard? Instead, she lives on Earth? She is not of this world. Why would she want to live on this planet? If she has hidden in the earth many times and is in love with it, she should visit the time and area she is familiar with, such as Pompeii, but why 1982 in the United States? It makes absolutely no sense to me. I'm going to need some theory to get through this.

2. Why are Mobius, OB, and others all living in the postwar period of the timeline? Can't they just send someone from another age or even the future, say 2300? Kang is from somewhere 3000AD, therefore why did he only kidnap someone from the postwar period? This appears to me to be a lack of knowledge and imagination about time and history on the part of the directors. I also need some theory to go through this.

A Penultimate episode !!!!
vansharya-353374 November 2023
Fifth episode of Marvel's most awaited show, Loki Season 2 is premereired and here's my thoughts on this episode i.e. "Science/Fiction"

Positives :-

1. Episode provide a great build up for finale.

2. Writing and screenplay is fantastic.

3. Casting performance is amazing especially.

4. Episode heavily focus on character development and world building.

5. Episode also shows the consequences of what Sylvie has done.

Negatives :-

1. The colors theme look a bit washed out.

2. Episode have some plotholes.

Final Thoughts and Review :-

Overall, "Science/Fiction" is a great episode and provides a great build up for season finale.

Warning: Spoilers
This episode was all over the place, but that was kind of a good thing. This really drove home the dangers of time travel and timelines and how much is at stake, but it still continues to miss the mark. We need to see people outside of the core cast and how they are impacted by all of this. We know about Loki and Mobius, but there is not much else.

We know a lot of comedies just feature the core characters and are in one setting, but it is kind of weird to have almost all of the scenes at the TVA and very little impact on the everchanging timelines in the outside world. Maybe it is just me though.

Science/Fiction
Prismark103 November 2023
A shorter zippier episode keeps the story rattling along nicely.

Loki keeps time slipping after the collapse of the temporal loom. He gets hold of Casey who is Frank Morris attempting to escape Alcatraz in 1962.

Mobius is Don, a single parent and an obsessed Jet Ski salesman. OB is a scientist and a budding sci-fi novelist in 1984. All of them living a life outside the TVA and across the multiverse.

Loki needs to get Mobius, Casey, OB, Hunter B-15 and Sylvie together to save the multiverse from collapsing.

There are interesting discussion of time, space and science fiction between Loki and OB. What is does best is present Loki as a hero than a anti hero. Someone who might be able to master time and space.

LE CARRÉ
daisukereds4 November 2023
This episode has definitely been the best so far.. with interesting developments and dialogue (mostly about the titular Science and Fiction), an arc for our character (self realization) and an objective/setup for what is to come.. which makes the constant and pointless meandering of the previous four episodes even more depressing in retrospect. I understand that a lot of time needs to spent with characters for them to matter in the eyes of the viewer (and Loki)! But ultimately, what the season has told so far, has not been worth 4 filler episodes. Specially when they could have been condensed and trimmed into a proper starting foundation, and for this one to be the start of the second one.

Looking back.. Ravonna, Timely, Brad and many other character's are now completely unimportant to the plot (and Loki)! And even if they are woven into future plots, I have little reason to care at the moment.

Now we are left with just more of an entry point, and a promise of this making sense in future seasons and other series! But with Marvel being a total mess at the moment.. doesn't really bode well for my interest.

Beyond the MCU
sanadalsalt3 December 2023
Tom Hiddelston is at his best in this universe. This episode is perhaps one of his best performances to date. The recent episodes have re-established him as the main character and have even improved the opening episodes.

Owen Wilson is also very good! I've really come to appreciate his acting in this series. It's nice to see him doing something out of the ordinary again.

But this is not just a great MCU series, it's a great series in general. It's a very intriguing concept that feels incredibly fresh and has high stakes. My only hope is that the finale this week doesn't play it too safe. I'm excited because I still don't know how this season will end, but the way things ended here has me a little worried. The season has been excellent so far, so maybe I shouldn't worry.

It's also exceptionally well-directed. It doesn't feel like an MCU property at all. Non-Marvel fans would probably enjoy this as well.
