Could have been the perfect comedy-series...
Smerph_Gryffin10 January 2022
After the first three episodes I thought: "Wow, this is an instant cult classic!" It's just about drinking and the glorification of alcohol is incredibly hilarious.

But... I don't know... maybe the writers panicked half way through, that they created the perfect drinking-comedy and so, for some reason, they unfortunately HAD to add stories for each main character to add some drama. And those stories are pretty generic and not even that good.

From there it's still funny, but the (sometimes very) serious undertone in the second half of the 1st season just doesn't fit to the outstanding start.

Really good to see- Life's of three different ladies
kalavaguntameghana21 November 2021
It's a nice drama, just like normal lives of Korean people with humourous comedy.

A good romance between the hero and one of the lady. I'm on ep 9 Don't know how would there lives comes to. Just a fresh, & good drama of lives from women's perspective.

Loved the friendship
cc007727 December 2021
This drama was so refreshing and different from most kdramas. I really loved the strong female cast, and also their relationship in the show. I'm so excited for season 2, and I looking forward to seeing more scenes from Jigoo!

Coming of age but make it realistic
ananyasinha-888854 August 2022
I have always seen coming of age series of teenagers so i can confidently say this series is on of the rare coming of age series of people in their 30's that's realistic yet fun. Though in the beginning the theme seemed questionable of only alcohol however by the end it seemed as if instead of the actual narrator we saw every stage of the 3 friend's life through alcohol. Not only did they have great representation of LGBTQ+ community but also had realistic characters with actual love storylines. Comedy was on point but tears were also there, unexpectedly one of the best series I've seen. 10/10 would watch again.

Good Enough
PennyReviews3 December 2021
Korean Drama "Work Later, Drink Now" is a heartwarming drama about a beautiful friendship.

With some romance, enough comedy, and the right amount of drama and tragedy to keep it real, the drama was short and enjoyable. It has a lot of drinking, yes, but it is more than just three girls having a good time. It has some crazy moments, along with a realistic plotline and a smooth outcome. The choice to add some of the previous moments of the three friends was a smart choice, however, it messed up the timeline and, sometimes, it even confused the story. Still, the dynamics between the girls were strong and that might carry the drama to a possible second season.

As for the performances, everyone did a great job with their performances.

So, overall, 7.5 out of 10.

For braindead uncritical drinkers who laugh at their own jokes
truth-teller8 December 2022
I'll start by saying I am female and I also drink alcohol but even having these things in common with the three female protagonists did not make me warm to them. The first episode was funny and had me laughing out loud but after that ... what happened? I watched half of this series and dropped it when I realised it wasn't snapping back to its early promise.

Ladies, If you are going to drink then at least enjoy it and don't drink out of frustration, anger, self-pity and boredom, have some fun and get witty and outrageous instead of whiny and obnoxious. I couldn't find anything in episodes 2-6 that even touched upon the strong introduction to the main characters in episode 1. What a let down, and whether or not any of them have an epiphany at the end and belatedly decide to slow down, I simply don't care. They are the usual ditzy/aggressive/clumsy k-drama female lead split over three characters, making the usual stock fool of themselves like spoilt toddlers.

I get the feeling we are supposed to admire and applaud their graceless behaviour but my own drinking days have left me with enough working grey matter to understand this show is the equivalent of the tedious drunk that thinks he's funny. If we laugh beyond episode 1 the jokes on us.
