Chicago (2002)
So Vibrant and Lively
I watched this movie on my flight to Vietnam and I was entertained for the whole time of this movie. It felt like I was actually in a theater watching this as a musical. The songs and dances were fantastic, and all the characters were so so unique. I really want to rewatch this movie but I'm saving it to watch in my next plane flight. I absolutely loved Velma's character as well, and I think the actors did a fantastic job of portraying each of their characters. I cinematography was amazing too and it added so much to this film. I would really like to watch this as a musical in real life to see the magic happen in real life.
Sense8 (2015)
Speechless
First of all, I am truly impressed by how this show was able to air in 2015 despite all the LGBTQ+ content within in show. It truly shows how producers were trying to positively represent queer relationships despite the stigmas that existed. The storyline was so so creative, and I LOVED the ending. I will always miss all of these characters as there were so many wholesome moments in the story. It was also amazing how different cultures and genres were able to mix into one and flow so smoothly. The editing was wonderful as well since the shift between the scenes were so smooth and not clumpy at all. This show also did an amazing job of portraying sex as something loving, and intimate, rather than just a sexual act.

Wholesome & Meaningful
This was such a wholesome and meaningful movie. I loved how this movie covered topics like gender roles, gender inequality, and things that women struggle with in our current society. This film was able to cover all those topics accurately, but not in an aggressive way. The acting was phenomenal too, I cried so much in one of the scenes because the acting made the scene much more realistic and believable. I loved the wholesome moments as well as it reminded me of family and friendships. More films like this would be great to spread awareness one situations like this, just like how this movie so perfectly did.
Disobedience (2017)
Not as dark as I expected
I kept pushing watching this movie because I was expecting the storyline to be really dark but it wasn't as serious as I thought it would be. The film really portrayed the complicated relationship between the two women with both the dialogue and acting. However, I honestly don't know if the main intimate scene was an accurate and positive representation of queer interactions, and it kind of felt like it was filmed for the male gaze but that might just be me. Even though the movie overall seemed slow paced and calm, I wasn't really bored for any second of this movie. I would recommend this film if you like calmer movies.
Madre Solo hay Dos (2021)
Refreshing
I love the storyline of this show because it is very refreshing and there aren't a lot of shows these days with this type of plot. I love all the characters in this show and I would definitely come back for season 2. I really liked how Madre Solo hay Dos is like a comfort show that I would watch while eating meals alone or when I'm doing something and need a show to turn on in the background. I am not done with season 1 yet (Season 1 Episode 8) but I know for sure that I will be coming back for more. I would recommend this show to people that want a light comedy show to watch when they are bored.
In the Dark (2019)
Will definitely come back to
(S2EP10) I am almost done with season 2 but I haven't been able to finish the whole show yet. This show is a great mix of crime and comedy and I love the relationship and chemistry between all the characters. I don't remember why I stopped watching this show but I would definitely come back to finish it in the future. The storyline overall is very interesting and unpredictable so I would recommend this show to people who like crime and dark comedy film. I honestly don't have anything to write for the remaining 100 characters and it would be nice if imdb lowered the requirements to around 400^^
Lady Bird (2017)
Typical yet relatable
The whole movie just felt like a chill film with no strong storyline, but it was a good movie to have on in the background. There were a lot of scenes and dialogue that I could relate to since I am a senior in high school myself, which was one of the reasons why I could stay entertained throughout the whole film. However, I do feel like some scenes were repetitive or too long but I think it felt that way due to the simplicity of the storyline itself. This movie kind of felt like a heavier version of Booksmart so I could recommend this to people that enjoy watching films about high school and coming of age.
Imagine Me & You (2005)
#1 Queer Comfort Movie
I kept pushing watching this movie because I don't know I didn't really feel the vibes? But I just watched it this time because it was all over my tiktok for you page and I had a lot of time left. I don't regret watching this movie at all, in fact I regret not watching it sooner. This movie really portrayed the right person wrong time concept very well, and although there was nothing much complex about the storyline, the two main leads made the movie so comforting and enjoyable to watch. This film is definitely one I would come back to rewatch in the fall as it portrays that time of year really well.
Lost Girl (2010)
Comfort Show
The whole purpose of the plot does seem to get repetitive throughout the show even though the backstory doesn't overlap. However, I love all the characters so Lost Girl is one of my comfort shows that I will go back and watch once in a while. I only watched the first season but I will definitely come back for more in the future once I am reminded. I get why people that used to watch this show back when it aired loved it so much, I would too if I was watching it with others. I also like the LGBTQ+ representation in this show and I hope to see more of that in future shows as well! I would recommend Lost Girl if you are into succubus, etc.
Baby Driver (2017)
Not Bad
I didn't really mind this movie, but at the same time I feel like I've seen a lot of movies similar to this film with a similar storyline, genre, etc. I thought that the plot was somewhat predictable and some of the scenes reminded me of the show Money Heist. I liked the ending though as it made the movie not too heavy and dark. If I liked action movies, then I would have given this movie a much higher rating though. I also loved Darling's character and she was one of the main reasons I continued to watch the movie. I would recommend this film if you are into action movies, and somewhat comedy.
Paradise Hills (2019)
Um..
Literally no context was given about the characters and why there were put into that place. There were some explanations throughout the movie, but they were really vague and it felt a bit rushed. I think this movie really had potential but there were a lot of loose ends to the storyline which made it disappointing. I really liked the characters though, but again more background as well as what happened to some of the characters after would've really strengthened the story. The whole movie was around 90 minutes (not even two hours) so if they used the time to truly build out their story this movie would've been much better.
The Menu (2022)
Love the deep meaning
I loved the balance between comedy and thriller as some of the scenes were very grotesque, however, the satire balanced the whole movie out making it disturbing, but not to the point where I had to stop watching the movie. I also loved the meaning behind the movie, presenting the difference between the rich and the poor. The ending was wonderful as well, and I liked how there were some hidden meanings behind this film as they weren't too obvious or straightforward. The storyline overall was very creative, so I wasn't bored throughout the whole movie as the plot wasn't predictable at all. I hope to see more film like this in the future.
Triangle of Sadness (2022)
Deep Message
This movie really made me think about the different social classes in our society. How people who are skilled may be looked down on just because of their lower financial stability, and how rich people gain more praise even if they aren't that skilled. This film also made me think about the importance of power, and how that can lead to corruption, blinding one to continue to gain more of that power and leadership. I also loved the ending of this film as it really got me thinking. We're honestly no different then puppets controlled by our greed inside of us, and it is the greed that makes us inhumane.
Turist (2014)
Simple but meaningful
The plot of this movie itself was very simple, and there wasn't much to it. However, the tension that the actors were able to portray with their acting was able to keep me entertained throughout the whole movie although this film did feel a bit slow. This movie also showed the true reality of family, and relationships and that made it possible for me to connect with the characters. The cinematography was wonderful as well since they used the snow and blurry backgrounds really well to truly portray more of the uptight, anxious feeling. I would recommend this movie if you are looking for a chill and low-key movie to watch in the winter.
She Said (2022)
Powerful Film
There wasn't anything very unique about the plot, however the experiences of each of the victim made me more intrigued about how the movie was gonna end. The acting was wonderful too, and the fact that this movie was based off of something that actually happened made the movie more impactful. I think these movies are really good in order to spread awareness, and there should be more of them since I honestly didn't know about this incident before watching this movie. Like some of the other reviews, the ending was predictable in general, however that didn't make me bored or anything and I still wanted to continue watching.
Midnight in Paris (2011)
Such a Beautiful Film
I could say that this is one of the top five healing movies that I have ever watched. This movie was beautiful even from the beginning of the film where they started off my showing snapshots of Paris, just astonishing. The storyline was very creative as well, since there are a lot of movies about traveling into the future. However, this movie was the opposite and I think this film did a great job of portraying Paris during that time. I also loved the soundtrack as well, very peaceful and calming and matches well with the movie. The costumes were wonderful as well, and I think this is a movie that I will always come back to during the fall / winter.
Loving Annabelle (2006)
Not Bad
This movie was a mediocre film, the storyline was okay but I think it's the two main characters that made this film special. Although there were a lot of problematic things in their relationship, I believe that the two actresses did a wonderful job of portraying a forbidden relationship. The pace of the movie wasn't bad as well, as it didn't seem too slow or too rushed. However, I think the ending was a bit predictable because of the nature of their relationship. This is a film where I will definitely miss the characters thought, because their acting and relationship was phenomenal I would never forget it easily.
Brave New World (2020)
Fun Dystopian Show
I watched this about 2 years ago because we read this book in English class. I remember this show being fairly entertaining and I loved how well they portrayed a truly dystopian world. I remember some of the characters being likable as well, and I will definitely come back to rewatch this show if I'm looking for a fun sci-fi, dystopian show to watch. Also, I remember liking the lead character very much as well. This 600 character thing is so annoying I've been writing about it in every single review, like I have nothing else to write about this show but that doesn't mean it's a bad show so yeah.
Meet Cute (2022)
Not Bad
I honestly just started watching this movie without expecting much but it was much better than I expected. First of all, THE ACTING both of them made their roles so so believable and I loved the first 10 minutes of the film because you could feel the chemistry and energy as they were bouncing off of each other's conversations. The storyline wasn't bad too, it wasn't very deep but it surely wasn't light as well. This is definitely a movie that I will think about from time to time. Also, it's a fairly short movie so I recommend you watch it if you like romantic comedy films.
Do Revenge (2022)
Typical High School Movie
I honestly don't have very strong opinions about this film, like I said it's just a typical high school movie about one's past, etc. But I would say that it is on the better side, but it's just that I personally don't enjoy high school / coming of age movies as much. However, I HAD TO watch it after hearing that maya hawke was in this as another queer role, and she did a wonderful job with it as well. I lowkey hate the new 600 character requirement for imdb because I literally don't have anything else to write. I would recommend this movie if you found films like the Kissing Booth or To All The Guys I've Loved Before entertaining.
Orphan Black (2013)
One of the BEST shows ever made
This show was too good I don't even know where to start. First of all, the positive LGBTQ+ representation was really admirable. Also the ACTING, it was so believable that I would sometimes think that there are different actors for each sister (or i should say sestra), Tatiana did an amazing, mind blowing job. The storyline was just out of the box as well, so creative, unique, and unpredictable. Even if this show had 100+ seasons I know that I will be watching every single episode of it, and I will definitely be coming back to rewatch this show. There's no other show that has kept me intrigued from beginning to end, so this show holds a very special place in my heart.
Addicted to Fresno (2015)
Started Off Good
I was really excited for this film since it had a lot of well known actors in it. I loved how the film started off, but when the movie was about half way in I started losing a bit of interest. I still finished the whole movie, and it wasn't too bad but I feel like it's not a film that I would like to rewatch. Also the LGBTQ+ representation in this film wasn't bad too, so if you're looking for a light comedy movie to watch I recommend this movie. The acting was pretty good too so I would recommend you try Addicted to Fresno if you are bored and have nothing else to watch during your free time, and you want to watch a comedy movie.
A League of Their Own (2022)
Definitely One of My Favorite
This show definitely has a place in my heart, it was SO GOOD. I loved all the characters, and storyline, just everything about this show was so warm and comforting. I also adored the LGBTQ+ representation in this show, and I was so so excited for future seasons!!
For All Mankind (2019)
SO SO GOOD
It's really rare to watch a show where they truly show the characters maturing as years pass, but For All Mankind does it perfectly. The storyline, acting, characters, just everything is so perfect I'm really looking forward to season 4.
Purple Hearts (2022)
Actually Good
I honestly didn't expect this movie to be good but I ended up loving it, especially the ending because these two are literally so so cute. The music in between made it so much better too and their character development really felt sincere. I would definitely rewatch this movie.
