The Master Killing Hard.
sitstill10 September 2019
Bill Burr does anti-woke far better than any other comedian around. His natural spite directed at the millennial snowflake and the privileged is balanced by his self awareness that he is a dinosaur. Coming straight after Dave Chapelle: sticks and stones Burr brings a far fresher, busier & funnier performance. I found nothing in Chapelle's show to be offensive, as it was reported to be,(being a Jackson denier will most likely come back to take a bite out of him) but found it all to be beige, low energy output.Chapelle's lower wattage performances are all good but a bit too prescribed for his audience. Burr's stuff is far more polished and punchy. The reason behind this is obvious to anyone that listens to his podcast... Burr puts himself on stage, maybe an exaggerated version, but still it all holds true. Stand Burr up beside a "comedian" like Joe Rogan who is not at all naturally funny off stage and accordingly has been trying for years to figure out the equation of comedy and has an audience that is massively subsidised by his enormous podcast audience and presence on the UFC. That no comedian calls him out on this is further evidence of his reach and not his comedic talent. Anyone can spend months honing a few good jokes but you cannot teach or therefore learn to be a funny guy. (Just look at girls) This instalment further cements Bill "the Natural" Burr as one of the all time best everyman comedians and shows no signs of the well running dry. ~Keep the bile flowing Bill you orange so an so.

Killed it for an hour straight.
umer_salman10 September 2019
A few jokes he had done on some talk shows, but he was obviously testing his material through that time. But finished product was fresh and amazing. Possibly his best or second best special to date. Has a lot of rewatch potential.

If you are easily offended, do not watch this, and spare yourself the pain. Watch it with open mind, and you will be thoroughly entertained. Bill burr is one of the best of comedians of this generation.

Super funny, honest and unapologetic
bakisine10 September 2019
Bill Burr has once again delivered. While this is a comedy stand up show, Burr has made some very valid and real points in a funny manner with regards to PC and recreational outrage people who overestimate the value of their opinions. I cannot praise this special enough. Thank you Bill (and Netflix)

Bill Never Disappoints
grantonearth10 September 2019
One of the funniest men on the planet. Bill never disappoints with his anti PC routines. This Special was absolutely Hilarious and is up there with Dave Chappelle's new special. I dont know how they are getting such great shows past the Leftist shills at Netflix but im a very happy customer for the first time in a long time.

What happened to bill burr?
brarprince-9258112 September 2019
I am sorry if you get disapointed but i have to say it-'Bill burr is not funny anymore'. I can break it down for you guys that how this transition happened. Bill used to be a lot funnier and spot on with excellent comic timing and more importantly he held the audience and this was all in the time when bill had anger issues and he was an angry man 90% of the time and his comedy was based on this exact thing' his angry view on every living thing in this world'. But know things have changed Bill got married and ofcourse got older and he has worked a lot on his anger problem and he got good results but because of this his comedy has suffered, he changed everything about him but his comedy content which is same as before. So the sting has gone out of his standup comedy. I know , i am disapointed as well. But he has had his time!!!

Warning: Spoilers
It wasn't the best material we've seen, but you are guaranteed to laugh when you watch Bill Burr do stand-up.

He is not afraid to tackle any issue and say whatever he feels, which is absolutely refreshing as a comedian.

The further a society drifts from the truth, the more they'll fear those who speak it.
Jouford11 September 2019
Bill Burr doing what Bill Burr does best - telling the truth in a shocking, and incredibly funny way. Just as Chappelle was attacked for being blunt a few weeks ago when his special came out, Burr is already getting criticism for this routine. And just like with Chappelle, the more people whinge, the more popular it'll be.

Modern day outrage culture has seen to it that real, cutting edge comedians are in danger of becoming a thing of the past. Burr and Chappelle give me hope that they aren't.

Rollercoaster from Great to apologist
woohooshad14 September 2019
It started out great and there were some great jokes, but ever since this guy got married he has been checking himself and is constantly going back and apologizing for white privilege, male privilege, etc. He used to kill it and be unapologetic to everyone, now he has to constantly go back and say things he thinks will appease his wife. WTF, just go on with the jokes and stop thinking about how your wife will react.

A Great Comedian for Misogynistic Right Wingers
Bluereviews4you14 September 2019
I've really loved Bill Burr for a long time - his previous specials, podcasts, YouTube videos, etc, so I was pretty shocked to see how far off the deep end he went in Paper Tiger.

Bill has never been shy to make fun of anyone, women included, however he lost the humor in this special and just attacked the women's movement entirely.

The sexism in this special sounded very similar to Trump antics, "it's a scary time for men right now", by questioning women. He belittled the Believe All Women's movement - a slogan that was created to bring light to the fact that less than 1% of all sexual allegations are false hence why women should be taken more seriously when they share they have been assaulted. He just added fuel to the fire to make people doubt women's sexual allegations further. It was deeply disturbing to watch him delegitimize the #metoo movement and simultaneously toss in rape jokes.

The guy is clearly very out of touch with reality and his ignorance only hurts minorities by emboldening sexist jerks and giving them the courage to spew hatred. It's the same thing Trump has done - crap over minorities and all the scumbags of the world think it's okay to come out to join in.

There's a million different ways he could have teased any of the movements he trashed, but instead he stripped them of their purpose and gave fuel to the opposition who views women's rights movements as anti-men. He made fun of victims of sexual assault. He just aided the group of people in the country who feel their privilege is being threatened because minorities are trying to gain equality.

I've laughed at nearly everything Burr has released but this wasn't funny. He came across as Rush Limbaugh trashing progressive movements and it's a real shame.

Better than Sticks & Stones
luccasmodej10 September 2019
The best special of 2019 so far. Anthony Jeselnik is also in the mix. For hardcore Bill Burr fans there is a joke or two that we have heard already. But are polished and delivered in a different angle. It is better than the last one but not on pair with: I'm Sorry You Feel That Way from 2014 which is still his best special in my opinion.

Amazing! Walks the line like a gunslinger.
faxanadonts10 September 2019
Bill Burr is a gunslinger. He has so much confidence on stage that you go along for the ride as he slings comedy in your face and it makes one go, "Thank you sir may I have some more?". Underneath his confidence are lots of well thought out honest bits that land because they connect with real human emotion and thoughts, and his bits are smart even when talking about the dopeyness of humanity that runs through us all. PC culture seems to want to sanitize the world ... ironically this glosses over the nuance of what really exists in minds and hearts. Truthful comedy like Bill Burr's shines light on what is really in our brains while making hilarious jokes about it at the same time. In the end this is way more valuable to progress than PC culture ever could be.

DESTROYS P.C. WHINERS...AMAZING!
livinglifing10 September 2019
Finally, comedy is back! This guy just set back the crying, feel sorry for me attitudes about a decade. Finally, he says what a MAJORITY of Americans WANT TO SAY, but don't. Very funny material, but also a necessary move in media to bring back the sense of humor we lost to the "sensitive" crazies out there. Outstanding...

Not a fan
mr-altex16 September 2019
I was never fan of Fbomb filled comedy routines. If it works, no problem. But the moment I notice "Is this funny or is that just fbomb reaction supported by loud cheers from the crowd?

Special ended up strong, but not everything worked for me. I am glad I missed Bill going through my town on a tour last year. Could have been a bodge. I still Bill is at his absolute best in conversation with other comics as his reactionary humor is something on another level.

Tells it like it is
airborne_trooper10 September 2019
Bill Burr hits on all the big cultural issues of the day, while primarily staying away from politics, which I found refreshing. Instead he leans on his hilarious dislike for women, feminism in particular. His jokes are anecdotal in nature, his personality is relatable and he has a knack for saying something totally off the wall ridiculous and then making you somehow agree with his point of view after explaining it. Having said that, Bill Burr's routine is definitely not for the easily offended. You have to go into this first knowing that these are just jokes but also that he absolutely does not pull his punches. It's a good hour well spent. Not as laugh out loud funny as some of his older specials, but again his jabbing at the ridiculousness of the perpetually offended is therapeutic gold. 10/10.

More like a podcast
rushabh-p-ingle10 September 2019
I love bill burr. I don't just like him, I love his comedy. I have no problem with his world views. I just feel this comedy special wasn't as good as his earlier stand up shows. He had a more funny analytical views about the problems. Now he addresses these problems in this special too but it feels more like an rant.

Disappointing
cberghuis-9248223 September 2019
I know Bill Burr as a sharp observer when he shows up as a guest in several late nights shows. Human behavior is met with humour and cynicism in a way we all appreciate. So I had high expectations watching this show. After 10 minutes I started to think: is this the same guy? On an on cringy ranting on US topics (in a London show!), smirking at his own jokes. I didn't laugh once and switchted it off.
