This is quite a popular and interesting episode of The Bill I watched numerous times, even when it has married Roberta Taylor and Peter Guinness as the lovers police inspector Gina Gold and magistrate Peter Harris.
Quite a whodunit mystery of who kidnapped Gina's lover as well as motive (even though Gina and Peter's affair is partial). The reveal of who Peter's kidnapper is slightly obvious yet I worked it out as well. Peter's an unfaithful man, had affair with several women including his best friend's late wife. Gina didn't deserve to be on break of tears when episode ended, spoiler: Peter returns again for the final time in the next episode.
I don't care about the whole subplot or whatever is about PCs Roger Valentine and Lewis Hardy even has his girlfriend's teenage brother Rudy Niles.
