Warning: Spoilers
Yeah it was a good tv show, but, I got bored after watching two seasons. The plot for each episode was simple: Ed and Danny, who were highly intelligent and righteous partners at work, had to deal with a series of incidents that happened in their workplace: the largest resort and casino in LV: the Montecito. Sometimes the incident could be some fake chips, it could be a thief, sometimes it could be a life threatening situation like bomb or aggravated assault with deadly weapons. They also had to help their customers who were in need. While the boys were trying their best to keep the place going, our ladies were like gossip girls taking care of their personal lives and discussing other people's businesses. That's it. I watched the first two seasons, it was great, but I was bored, as I said before, because the plot was almost the same and nothing stood out in particular. The plots for characters were not particularly impressive. All I knew about Ed and Danny were that they were super smart and righteous people who were also like two strongest worriers who were never afraid of fighting bad people. Sometimes they were too good that the police were outshined. Ed and Danny were typical heroes in a lot of movies that you knew they would survive in the end and they would be undefeated, which was another reason that I felt so boring. Everything went according to your expectations so what was new? To make a show more outstanding, sth unexpected and sudden makes it more interesting, and "memorable". More stories about the characters, letting the viewers get to know them more, not just some brave and strong workaholics who only knew how to take care of their work and business, nor some nosy people who sniffed into other people's lives. All those reasons that mentioned above made the so a bit dull in storytelling. By the way the technology used to help Ed and Danny was too good to be true in that era. More than that, how they found out who was behind everything was too simple, Making them more complicated would be better. The only thing worth talking about was its mixed genres: drama, crime, action and suspense. I've watched many tv drama but none of them would be so mixed like this one. What was also worth mentioning was the level of sex and nudity, you won't see any severe sex scenes or nudity in the show, which is very rare in a lot of movies and tv series made today and then. Sexual objectification was still a theme in this show, as there was a lot of women wearing only bikinis. In addition, our main characters didn't wear bras. But I wouldn't say it was severe, it was far less severe than most tv shows/movies. The review was written while watching the first part of Season 04. I might have to skip to the final episodes to see the ending, don't think I will be watching every single remaining episode.
