The only thing good about this movie...is Meagan Good is in it

House Party 4: Down to the Last Minute (2001) is a movie that I recently watched on HBOMAX. The storyline follows a young man who pretends to be sick and stays in his uncle's house while he is out of town on vacation. He invites all of his friends over to throw a house party of epic proportions; meanwhile, his sister will try to prove he's playing sick and throw his plans for a loop.

This movie is written and directed by Chris Stokes (You Got Served) and stars Marques Houston (You Got Served), Marques Houston (Dream On), Meagan Good (Think Like a Man), Mari Morrow (National Security) and Alexis Fields (Sister, Sister).

This movie is so bad and doesn't even try to be good. The entire fake sick set-up was corny and not well done. The acting in this is atrocious. Who thought Houston was a good lead character? The comedic writing was painful. The uncle was way over done and not entertaining, the mother and sister were ridiculous and the party was a letdown. Even the soundtrack wasn't good...how do you mess that up? While the end called for a sequel, fortunately it never happened.

Overall, the only thing good about this movie...is Meagan Good is in it. I would score this a 1/10 and recommend skipping it.
