After watching this episode for a third time, it's way better than the regular fillers of SG:1. It's on the cheap because they have to save budget every year. However, it does form a decent and coherent story line. It opens the idea of a great political galactic plan. The flashback clips aren't random, and the explanations are on point. This episode was a great example of storytelling on a budget. I did see this episode during the broadcast schedule, 5 years ago, and tonight. I like it much more over time. The studio did a good job with leftovers.
