Phantom can easily be added to the list of movies like 'Baby' ( at par), 'D Day' ( far better) where-in the cinema people portray a different side of how they perceive India's reaction should be.
The movie begins with a Bond-like chase sequence and keeps you glued to the screen. The sequencing of shots going back and forth is done very very neatly. But post 1 hr, the movie falls in a pit of B'woodized love angle, does things at convenience, fails to do justice to Katrina's character but manages to end with a hitting climax. Sadly, none of the songs stand out . A couple of dialogs are worth pondering, esp 'India kuch karta to nai, sirf unke sath cricket khelna band kar deta he' .
Mohd Zeeshan is back with a bang post his Ranjhanna heroics, rest of the supporting cast is also praise-worthy, but the leads -- Katrina who usually offers nothing except her looks doesn't even get a chance to do that; and not much of the touted Khans - Saif; delivers a decent act but isn't as impactive as others for a hard-hitting role. . Overall, worth a one-time watch that could have been better..
