Another good episode, solid storyline and great acting. Heartfelt and emotional.

I like the bit where he abused that ginger kid in the school

Episode 1.2

Tony still considers wanting to kill himself. Of course that would leave the dog on his own. She cannot open a can of dog food.

Tony decides maybe a drug overdose might the way to go. Not loads of paracetamol but heroin.

Before the dealer can bring him a small bag to try, he has to babysit his nephew. This means getting involved in an argument with a cafe waitress as to whether an adult can have a kids meal.

At least we see Tony connecting with two people in this episode. The widow at the graveside and the new trainee, Sandy.

We see Tony having fun with his late wife at the video clips he constantly watches. He is still someone living in the past.

The bittersweet aspects of After Life could be jarring for some viewers. I did find myself chuckling a few times mainly because the comedy comes from Tony Way and Paul Kaye.

Episode 2

I hate the drug episode of every sitcom. Thankfully it was not too much of this episode, but still, to do that in the second episode of a new show is offputting.

Still funny, but less meaningful and impactful than the first episode.
