[7.5] Wings serving no purpose
cjonesas5 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Episode 7: Beautiful but slightly snoozy boring. There's no thrill, just some emotions, a quest for wings that go to ash in the end. No force, no suspense, just some score aiming to smoothen the bumpy flow more.

Not enough though. Being repetitive and going nowhere.

Another gem of an episode.

Warning: Spoilers
What a great episode. I love the opening scene where Maze and Lucifer torture the guy in the hot tub for information. Lucifer's slow realization that maybe, just maybe torture isn't the way to go is very well played by Tom Ellis. The interactions between Chloe and Lucifer take the relationship to a new level, she really seems to be getting under his skin in this episode.

The scene on the beach between Lucifer and his brother is truly heartbreaking and visually stunning. This show just goes from strength to strength. Maze has real character development here too which is good to see, she is shaping up to be an outstanding supporting character. Can't wait to watch the next episode.

Different Camera Angles - Why?
robinmyrobin3 October 2016
In Lucifer Wingman Episode the piano scene, Lesley-Ann Brandt was shot from an angle that looks up her nose making her nose the focus of the shot and making her nostrils seem much larger than they are. But, Chole was shot from face level which gave her face a much more attractive viewpoint. Was this done for any specific reason?

I truly love the show and think it offers believers a unique perspective. Of course, I know the show is for entertainment purposes only, but there are some very interesting view points that can be explored in each episode. Because of my beliefs, at first I thought the show would not be for me. But, I have found it entertaining and often us it as a topic of discussion with friends and family.

Ways and means

Dr. Linda Martin is an excellent therapist and she certainly prides herself on her acumen, but just who does she really imagine her new client Lucifer Morningstar is?

She appears to be pleased to have met another colleague to share knowledge with, and is keen to garner as much information she can, to hopefully help her get to know a particular client.

But just how much background information does she have about this new colleague, and is she really so keen to work with him without such important details.

Dr. Martin may like to feel that her desire to know what makes her client tick, is done purely from an academic interest, but to what extent is that actually even the half truth. In seeking assistance from her new colleague, and being prepared to trust in his information, she doesn't really know what affects if any this will actually have on her client.

But Amendiel does on the one hand he lectures Lucifer, on his growing association with mortal human beings, and of its possible consequences.

But on the other hand he goes out of his way to involve a human being Dr. Martin, directly in his plan to return Lucifer home.

In so doing Amendiel is perfectly well aware of what he is doing, does he simply believe that these means justify the ends?

Detective Decker finds herself potentially trapped in her own personal 'Hell Loop' though of course she wouldn't know anything about that, instead she may well just imagine that she is enduring a particularly bad bout of deja-vue.

Decker simply considered that she is investigating a serious case, that unfortunately involves a recently deceased police colleague.

However apparently everyone else at her precinct, believed that she was actually up to "her old tricks", in trying to "frame a valued member of the police team or family".

Detective Decker finds herself in an unfortunate quandary, exactly who can she turn to for assistance, and coincidentally Lucifer has to ask himself the exact same question.

Lucifer Morningstar has had his most precious possession stolen from him, but just where can he turn for assistance, who can he ask to help him, and what precisely can he actually say is missing?

A new Detective Team of Decker, Espinoza and Morningstar, set out on not exactly a joint sting to solve a criminal case, but more of a convergence of interests towards somewhat similar ends.

Religion and capitalism allegedly don't mix, but on the contrary they are intrinsically intertwined, for instance orthodox religions such as Catholicism, have an earthly base in the Vatican. A verifiable city within a city replete with its own laws and political jurisdiction, quite apart from the outside world of Rome and of Italy.

Religions operate within the capitalist marketplace, and have absolutely no problems whatsoever with any kind of moral or ethical dilemma in the matter.

In his quest for his personal and private property Lucifer finds himself embroiled in a capitalist marketplace, where he encountered a character languishing in the moniker of Carmen. Who is running an illicit auction of allegedly 'Genuine' religious artefacts, that he hopes can be sold to highest bidder.

Lucifer gained admittance on the grounds of merely wishing to bid for his property, but he became somewhat nonplussed by Decker's sudden appearance.

"So much for quid pro quo", Lucifer had finally convinced Detective Decker of his sincerity in the desire to help, but the Detective being Chloe Decker meant that she was solely concerned in her own self interests.

But the old original police team of Decker and Espinoza were still extant, that had never really been disbanded, more dissolved, when they had decided to personally go their own separate ways.

Lucifer also decided that there were things or rather ways of doing them, that were more suited to older tried and tested methods, so he sought out Carman for some explanations.

Detective Decker has decided to try whatever tack will work in her quest for closure in her investigations, and seemed to be mellowing in her consideration towards Lucifer's apparent 'Soul searching'.
