Dr. Linda Martin is an excellent therapist and she certainly prides herself on her acumen, but just who does she really imagine her new client Lucifer Morningstar is?
She appears to be pleased to have met another colleague to share knowledge with, and is keen to garner as much information she can, to hopefully help her get to know a particular client.
But just how much background information does she have about this new colleague, and is she really so keen to work with him without such important details.
Dr. Martin may like to feel that her desire to know what makes her client tick, is done purely from an academic interest, but to what extent is that actually even the half truth. In seeking assistance from her new colleague, and being prepared to trust in his information, she doesn't really know what affects if any this will actually have on her client.
But Amendiel does on the one hand he lectures Lucifer, on his growing association with mortal human beings, and of its possible consequences.
But on the other hand he goes out of his way to involve a human being Dr. Martin, directly in his plan to return Lucifer home.
In so doing Amendiel is perfectly well aware of what he is doing, does he simply believe that these means justify the ends?
Detective Decker finds herself potentially trapped in her own personal 'Hell Loop' though of course she wouldn't know anything about that, instead she may well just imagine that she is enduring a particularly bad bout of deja-vue.
Decker simply considered that she is investigating a serious case, that unfortunately involves a recently deceased police colleague.
However apparently everyone else at her precinct, believed that she was actually up to "her old tricks", in trying to "frame a valued member of the police team or family".
Detective Decker finds herself in an unfortunate quandary, exactly who can she turn to for assistance, and coincidentally Lucifer has to ask himself the exact same question.

A new Detective Team of Decker, Espinoza and Morningstar, set out on not exactly a joint sting to solve a criminal case, but more of a convergence of interests towards somewhat similar ends.

Who is running an illicit auction of allegedly 'Genuine' religious artefacts, that he hopes can be sold to highest bidder.
Lucifer gained admittance on the grounds of merely wishing to bid for his property, but he became somewhat nonplussed by Decker's sudden appearance.
"So much for quid pro quo", Lucifer had finally convinced Detective Decker of his sincerity in the desire to help, but the Detective being Chloe Decker meant that she was solely concerned in her own self interests.
But the old original police team of Decker and Espinoza were still extant, that had never really been disbanded, more dissolved, when they had decided to personally go their own separate ways.
Lucifer also decided that there were things or rather ways of doing them, that were more suited to older tried and tested methods, so he sought out Carman for some explanations.
