Good drama but...
assyo29 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Good drama overall but imo the ending felt rushed a bit. There are many questions left hanging without answer. For example, The mystery of Han Ji Hyun a.k.a the grim reaper? And Lee Min Soo, was he like Hee Woo? He also living a second life? And many more left unanswered.. It would be a better drama if they add 4-5 more episodes and make it a 20 episodes drama.

One of the best
IamGrtl23 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This is honestly one of the best, K-drama I've ever seen. It keeps you entertained has a nice plot and nice writing. The actors are really good and even though it is literally based on someone coming back to life, most of the things that happened were actually plausible and realistic.

The last episode was honestly weaker but the ending for the antagonist saved it: it made so much sense that the assemblyman would not let him watch his defeat. I honestly didn't expect it.

Good start, but failed to maintain its uniqueness
refordgarry8 June 2022
It was an original idea to introduce a supernatural twist into this good/bad-guy revenge drama, though our expectations were over-aroused by such a dramatic opening episode, that then drifted into that familiar "to and fro" between young, emerging attack lawyer and crusty, despicable politician. Those smirking facial expressions of our anticipative hero, Kim Hee Woo are too reminiscent of a small boy, wherein it's advisable to refrain from smirking like a brat, unless you want to be one. But my major gripe with this otherwise watchable drama was that the story-arc of a World regulated by good deities bore no consequent in the execution of its conclusion.

Cathartically Satisfying
nakanopanda22 April 2022
From the pilot episode to the current episode, actor Lee Joon Gi has a delivered satisfying performance. His action filled scenes complete with his trademark reverse round-house kicks to his thought evoking ever subtle changes in his facial expressions conveying the curious nature of his character demonstrates determination and dedication to his craft. I look forward to watching actor Lee Joon Gi on how he will continue to use his versatility to make Again My Life a complete success.

A good drama with a rushed ending
tolanearth29 May 2022
Up until the ending episodes we were giving this drama high scores. Then it happened, the take down of the bad assemblyman was rushed and an opportunity for an exciting ending was missed. Too bad, we enjoyed the chemistry between the cast and the story was solid, at least until the last few episodes.

Lee Joon Gi is spectacular
Kawaii43317 April 2022
This drama hooked me right away. It especially gets better at episode 3. Lee Joon Gi in real life has 3 black belts (4th dan in TKD) and the fight scenes are top notch. Just as there are exciting action scenes, there are also some emotional scenes. Wonderful balance between the serious and the light parts. Lee Joon Gi is a one of a kind actor with his natural physical ability and acting skills. Gotta love his spinning kicks and his ability to play a force to be reckon with such as in this drama.

a bit disappointing
elsamirre10 October 2022
Pains me to write this, for I love LJG, I want his kids to call me mother.

Six stars for his performance, subtle and flawless, as always.

One star for the uniqueness of the show. At least at the beginning. As someone else pointed out, it is a pity that the deities who brought KWH back to life didn't show up at all.

I liked the part about KHW's youth, his struggle to save the ones he used to treasure, his friendship with the old businessman. Also, I liked how he managed to get close to his ennemies, so he would undermine and manipulate them more easily.

As I see it, the biggest drawback is the unnecessarily huge number of foes and friends. It was confusing and eventully boring. Besides, the tricks Kim Hee Woo used to take down each "boss" were always the same. Files (enveloppes ) kept popping out of some "investigation". At some point, he even threatened someone with a USB drive. I mean just. A USB drive! It could have been empty, or filled with cat videos. KHW only had to say it was evidence and the other guy turned pale. Wow, such a good actor indeed!

The whole thing felt like a neverending repetition of the same subplot. Target. File. "Sir, there is something you need to see". TV News. Bad Guy is sent to jail. Bad guy gets out. Play again. Once Bad Guy is really out, Bigger Bad Guy gets in line. Dragon Ball, Dragon BallZ, Dragon Ball GT.

I was especially disappointed by the ending. Cho TaeSub was nothing like the scary, almighty dragon we thought he was. The last battle was pathetic. Just pathetic, and doesn't do justice to the villain.

Ah. Romance? Chemistry? Where? Maybe I skipped an episode... I wouldn't know. They were all so similar...

I regret watching this. But seven stars, because. Well. Lee Joon Gi...

Lee Joongi is in a league of his own!
11ovz116 June 2022
Wow!

That is what I keep repeating in my head over and over again whenever I see Lee Joongi in "Again My Life". He is oozing with charisma, good looks, dramatic acting, subtle acting, and amazing martial arts skills. Whenever he throws a punch, lands a rotating kick, or does a flying jumping kick, I find my jaw on the floor.

Lee Joongi never disappoints! He always delivers to top notch perfection. Just him appearing in this drama is a good enough reason to go watch it right now.

But, let's also talk about the story, cast, directing, and the beautiful background music.

The drama is inspired off of the novel and webtoon both which are both exemplary on their own. Having read the webtoon before hand, I already knew some of the scenes and the character stories and I should tell you that unlike most webtoon adaptations, this drama does not disappoint! The story is well balanced between the politics, law, action, and comedy. And is in a good pacing that keeps everyone wanting to watch the next episode.

Well, this could be the reason why the drama rating kept on increasing each day it aired and surpassed all the dramas that were airing on the same time slot.

The cast studded with prominent actors and are excellent! My only complain would be the female lead, Kim Jieun, who had limited expressions on her face, and the same delivery throughout the drama in any scene despite it should be in different emotions. The actress would have matched a rookie well. However, against the very talented Lee Joongi, her average skills are pretty noticeable and I got annoyed whenever she is on screen. Moreover, she got easily shadowed by Kim Jaekyung, who plays "Han Mi". A much colourful role than "HeeA" played by Kim Jieun. Also, HeeA was not present in the drama for more than 2 minutes each episode and was not relevant to the main story line. So, she was easily skippable making the watch much more pleasant.

In my honest opinion, the female lead should have been Cha JooYoung who plays the "Grim Reaper" also Director Han Jihyun. Her screen time exceeded all the other "love interests" of Heewoo and directly impacted the plot as well. A love interest to this story would not have required at all.

This is the sole reason to deduct 1 star out of 10.

But that is my only complain. The rest of the cast did do their jobs amazingly. Especially all the villains.

The directing of a drama that involves time jumping and action is not easy. However, the director kept us all on the edge with his story telling. The action scenes were well directed and choreographed that it provided me such an adrenaline rush to just watch all of them fighting.

And I should mention all the OSTs used by the drama as well since the songs are all amazing and so unique to other kdramas that I have watched so far. The OST "Till the end" that plays after each episode is my favourite. All the songs are very upbeat and fun to listen to. A bit westernized but in good quality neverthless.

All in all, this is one of the best dramas in 2022 and a must watch by everyone!

Good start, bad ending BIG plot hole.
akhidenorshekinah14 February 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This drama started out good, however the ending was horrible.

The main villain escaped, everyone eventually got away with their crimes and a new villain took over from the old one.

I get that romance was not the main plot but the OTP had zero chemistry and there were absolutely no scenes dedicated to growing their chemistry, so when they announced their relationship at the end it made no sense.

And can we talk about one... no two big plot holes? Director Han/Pluto/Hades? This was never explained neither was the whole plot of him going back to the past/second life. I mean was she Hades or a grim reaper? It was just entirely abandoned.

He is so staunch, relentless and dauntless and fearless.
jgardiner-871-72672911 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Wow! The opening of "Again my Life" shows Joon Gi's His impressive martial Arts skills......but no subtitles yet. I know how Viki works. First day watch with no subtitles, next day watch again with subtitles so you get a double dose of his magic. Just awesome and amazing just to watch him at work once more. Makes me so happy. He is so staunch, relentless and dauntless and fearless. His magnificent skills are showcased in that first episode but he is worked over first by two larger women who look like twins who are use to fighting together in tandem. Although he beats them he meet another even larger man with even stronger skills. In his already weakened state. His antagoniser almost chokes him to death but then his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu skills come to the fore when he is on the ground. His opponent is much larger and stronger than him and flips him even when LJG has dislocated his shoulder. He (the opponent) viciously beats him in the face injects him with a drug and throws him over the side of the high building that they have been fighting on. As he fall he has visions as the cityscape flashes before as he falls. He finds himself standing back on that building watching his killer smoking. He is puzzled and sees a woman in red standing beside him. Is this a reaper? She shows him his past and explains his purpose. She sends him back in time to his school days where he was working in a convenience store. He is amazed with his transformation. Memories of his parents flood his mind and how he mistreated them when his mum always left him breakfast when she went to work early in the morning. Then one day they die and he is sorry for his misconduct In his return to life he runs all the way home to find them still alive. He is so happy to be able to repent for his behaviours. They are amazed with his new actions. They think that they are dreaming. He vows to be a better son and person. Later at school he has a vision of his parents death. He knows the date of their death and wonders if he can stop it. Is he trying to stop them from going to work on that day but fails? So he hurries to meet them when he knows the time and place of the accident where they are killed. He gets there before the car comes and his parents appear. He remembers everything about his previous life. He had looked up all the details of his parents demised so knows exactly what happened. He goes to wait outside his parents work place for them. He walks home with them. He stops them from being hit........or does he.

Well that what I got from it without subtitles. My interpretation is pretty close.

Episode 2: This was much harder to understand without subtitles but I get the drift that because of his prior knowledge of events he can predict what going to happen and he goes out of his way to change the events of people who are close to him both those he knows and those he doesn't. He is working slowly and carefully through these challenges. He quietly watches and listens behind scenes as he gathers information against the evil doers.

When I'm rewatching (with subtitles) and making a comparison with the first and second episode. I see that he is pretty arrogant, ambitious and over confident in the that first part. He just jumps in with no thought of the consequences as a result what happens..... Second time around because of his previous experiences he is more cautious and looks like he is going to find the the damning evidence about the evil doers before he makes his next move. He is sussing out all of the conspirators and how they all fit in together. In his first life he got under their skin of so many high profile people no wonder he was killed. He needs to gather his evidence more throughly this new time that he is given. He is told that if he is too hasty he might be killed again.

The slowness of the subtitles input has given me a chance to really investigate what is happening in this drama and analyse every part of it very closely. Love it so far. He is the master at work.

One of things I do understand is that his martial art strengths have enabled him to protect himself and loved ones against violence and bullies.

Episode 3: So he is fighting the guy that killed him but he is immovable. Kim Hee-woo is just wasting his energy. That guy is so much stronger that he is. It's just like watching his first fight with him and he is just getting pummelled. I personally just hate watching LJG getting hurt like that. Finally he's just technically knocked out like before with no fight left in him. Is he going to die again? Obviously not. He's the main actor. What is going to happen to him. It's like a reenactment. Oh No! He is thrown over the bridge but surprise surprise. Yeah! Watch it! "Again my Life"

He's going to toughen himself up by the looks of things. More gruelling workouts on the cards. The trainer is good. Really good. He is really muscular too. Wow! Kim Hee-woo is going to be much stronger he is even running with weights.

He has got a way with the ladies that he has got to know and changed their destiny. They like him and he is tutoring Kim Han Mi. She is doing very well. He is helping all of them and they appreciate him.

The photography in this drama is immaculate and crystal clear.

LJG must be happy that he is working with one of the veterans of Korean actors guild - Lee Soon Jae. He is very old now 87 but he's still got it.

He is sussing out some of the key players and the property market. I'm not up with the play on that. Now he is talking to the tenants that are being evicted. He is seeking legal advice from a lawyer he worked with to gain experience. He is going to the auctions. He must have won on his bid.

What is Kim Han-mi dad up to he seems to be buying her off or something. The money was for her university tuition. Is that her brother that caused her to be slapped by her dad? He brother insults her and she retaliates. That is why her dad hits her. Her brother had been giving her drugs in the past. She has poor self esteem because she hasn't been loved and cared for by her father who had her on the wrong side of the bed.

Koreans have a high culture of drinking their problems away. Is she telling Kim Hee-woo her sad story.

There is a lot of dialogue in this episode really need subs now. I know I have to wait which gives me time to dissect all of the acting and body language. Long dialogue is hard to interpret without Korean understanding or subtitles.

Kim Hee-woo is meeting with the Law student body President. Is the Pres. Recruiting him (Kim Hee-woo) for Cho Tae Seob cartel ( remember no subs yet)? I'm just guessing! He is meeting key players. He lived before so he already knows what type of people he is dealing with. Is he going to join their club so he can get information? Now with subs I can see that they are definitely grooming him for their Secret Law Department Club at Hanguk University. All of the top prosecutors have been in that club. So my guess was right. They really don't understand his intentions. They have let the wolf into the sheep pen. They are telling him that they are going to get rid of Wu Song Su. Hee-woo mentor. Is Hee-woo going to save him too? Hee-woo warned him and saved him. Wow! He gave all of his investment money to Hee-woo and believes he came from heaven. Hee-woo is rich. This is amazing. He wants him to use the money to do good. The old man knows that he is going to die soon. His advice to Hee-woo is to always look at the big picture. Don't lose yourself in your quest. All that money could go to his head.

He keeps meeting up with that old man. Who is he? I'm looking up cast information. He seems to be a helpful person. Lee Soon-jae as Woo Yong-soo, a rich businessman who mentors Hee-woo regarding real estate investments. So that is what he is doing.

Hee-woo goes to a Cho Tae Seob rally. He sees a woman. She looks exactly like that red reaper that he met when he died. She said they may meet again. He is astounded when he sees her.

Episode 4: I keep wondering what has Cho Tae Seob done to this woman or what will he do for her to become a reaper. At this stage and time frame. Does she know Wee-hoo or not? So many questions but so intrigued. Does he groom children from childhood?

Oh Min Guk is having drinks with Kim Hee-ah when Hee-woo turns up.

That guy is still watching her. Is she the one from the Cheonha Group? She is the female main actor in this drama. Oh Min Guk gets very drunk and Hee-woo sends him home in a taxi. Kim Hee-ah has disappeared when Hee-woo turn around. I man is following her. He fights with Hee-woo. The guy is a good fighter. He is obviously trained. Kim Hee-ah sees them fighting she knows him. He must be her body guard.

Someone is watching him training. Cheonha Group is watching him. They know now that Hee-woo is an extraordinary student. That bodyguard knows he trains and that he is very strong. They are impressed with him. Oh Min Guk especially is totally impressed. She hates Cho Tae Seob.

Hee-woo has a way with woman but he needs to be careful that they don't take advantage of his sweetness and kindness.

Oh Min Guk introduces him to a friend. Something bad happened to this new student friend. It is hard to tell what his dilemma id without subs even tough we have some sort of flashback. Moon Sung-hwan, Hee-woo's friend who is an app developer

What is Cho Tae Seob talking about with Kim Hee-ah's father.

Why is Cho Tae Seob male secretary begging. Is he telling him to eliminate someone. It's not the secretary it is someone else. Looks like he is being killed as the assassin comes in to take him away. It looks like it is the new friends father.

His parent opened a restaurant it seems to be doing well.

He remembers that he is younger now and hasn't done his military training.

Is he truly love working with these people? Need subs! So he has got them all working against each other. I hope it works and doesn't backfire because they are all on Cho Tae Soeb payroll.

It's worth watching!!!!
vanessarodriguezyes2 June 2022
I came across "Again My Life" drama because I was looking for Korean dramas that have grim reapers, afterlife and/or time travel plots (kdramas has lots of it 😊), a few was recommended and again my life is one of them, I always watch the first episode to check if the drama is worth watching (some did not pass my liking (sowee 😉) but Again my life was different! After the first episode! I was hooked!!! When I came across this drama, 10 episodes were already aired, so as expected I watched all of it in one seating!!! LOL !!! Great Actors!!! The chemistry between LJG and LKY was great, story plot was good too (although some characters stories wasn't elaborated because 16 episodes wouldn't be enough 😉), love the soundtrack! The camera angles, how they unfold events! Everything!!! Great drama!!! LJG's acting was on point!!! Worth watching!!!!

A Pretty Decent Drama
ceworlu10 June 2022
This drama revolves around the lead character who is confident, also a great fighter and schemer. Apparently three girls fall in love with him, but all he cares about is bringing down his corrupt political opponent.

Unique unusual team!
shareen_shany24 February 2023
This show is a little exaggerated as the ML is reincarnated to live once again to catch the top of the food chain perpetrator.

This show may be too much for others as it's the usual trope. It's not easy to catch any high-powered criminal.

I like the whole combined unusual team! How they are combined is very unique & cool! They assist each other to trap one bad guy to another!

One snake gone, another surface!

Highly recommend! Really good crime suspense drama! Worth the time! Loved the casts, the fight, the ML parent, his dad is so funny, the big sweet guy bodyguard, the hard-working investigator! What is best in this show is the fight & the unique team!

Engrossing and captivating, but finale faltered
pranayjalvi5 June 2022
Again My Life started on a strong center point, with justice as it's selling point. The first episode may feel like a fantasy, but it's not. Except that one point in the pilot episode, everything about here is a strategy of 10 years to bring a criminal down.

There's a slight disappointment in the development process. As the plot primarily centers around Hee Woo, the support characters are inconspicuous. After his amazing work in Flower Of Evil, Lee Joon Gi delivers himself with aan another great performance of a charismatic character set out to eradicate evil.

Everything was brilliantly written, but when it came to finale it faltered. The ending was rushed, there was sudden romance (which I didn't felt, the right couple) involved at the end of the episode and there were many plotholes which weren't filled in the last episode, which might leave many of the audiences half hearted about the finale.

To summarise, Again My Life had good elements and writing and was strongly held till the penultimate episode, while faltering at the end. Although the drama didn't end as expected, it was a very good show with some good acting and decently impressive execution.

My Rating : 8/10.

Good Enough
PennyReviews3 November 2022
Korean Drama " Again My Life " doesn't stray too far off the beaten track.

The dramas best part is its performances. The actors did all a great job portraying their characters and their performances were enjoyable. The chemistry between them was also a killer point. However, the star of the show is of course the main lead, who outshines everyone and gives the drama his own twist.

Unfortunately, and even though the start is smooth and exciting, the drama fails to deliver. The main criminal case is boring and predictable and the whole going back to the past was not explained. Rather, it was left to be added here and there as a reminder, not to mention, in some episodes, was completelly forgotten.

At least there were plenty action scenes that kept things entertaining.

So, overall, four out of ten.

Great Start But Please Reduce Background Music
aggiemanalac14 April 2022
Exciting start.

But the soundtrack/music bed is waaaaaay too much that it is becoming diatracting and annoying. There is loud, dramatic background music in practically every single scene - most of the music is unnecessary.

Gripping first episode, although, i did think that the score is a bit too overwhelming, if you get what i mean. It's a bit intrusive in scenes where it should not be.

On to the second ep.
