Katherine Heigl is a powerhouse. This episode was on the edge of your seat entertainment, brilliant from start to finish. This is grey's anatomy at its finest.

Amazing, from beginning to end. Grey's Anatomy, how the h*** do you do it?

All of the scenes, all of the lines, comes together perfectly. And the cliffhanger at the end - My GOD! Just when you thought it couldn't get any better than the bomb-episode...they do it again.

Emmy awards should be awarded based on this episode.

Your jaw will drop, you'll hold your breath, your heart will skip a beat, you may lose the ability to speak. And you're not even the patient.

It's likely you'd normally find yourself hard-pressed to fall this completely for a small group of people, in one small, fake hospital room, play-acting for money.

This episode of 'Grey's Anatomy' will hold your heart for more than "17 Seconds", it will keep your butt frozen to the nearest flat surface for the next sixty minutes.

Medical facts that interest you, you even relate to them. Characters who intrigue you. Story lines you follow. Sexy women. Many sexy women. Many sexy women who know they're sexy. Sexy guys too of course. And sex too. Of course. Realistic hospital scenes, not flashy or exaggerated.

When it's over you can't believe it's over, & you want to know RIGHT NOW what happens. Right now.

And those of you who have never seen Grey's Anatomy will make note of what night it is, what time it is, & what channel you're on. Just in case you happen to be home at this time next week, & you happen to check out what happens next.

That's just what I think of this episode of Grey's Anatomy. Tiffaney.

Powerful, but c'mon

Warning: Spoilers
One of my favorite episodes. Izzie's pleas for Denny to do this for her is incredibly powerful and heart-wrenching, but seriously, why didn't she just unplug the LVAD for a few minutes to get the test results she needed? The darn thing runs on batteries, or is literally plugged in to the wall. All it takes to keep it from functioning is disconnecting the power source. Unplug, wait for him to deteriorate so she had valid test results, then plug it back in. No need to cut the wires. I know, they needed the drama. But people who work in healthcare watch this show too.

Also why does every patient have the same IV pump with the same numbers in every episode? At least reset the thing every once in a while.

This Episode begins with Derek and Burke, they are drinking booze at the bar together. Finn thinks that Doc the dog has bone cancer. Victims of a workplace shooting have been brought to the Seattle Grace Hospital. Meredith tells Addison that she is dating with Finn. Burke tries to get the heart for Denny at another hospital, but there are some complications. Addison and Derek had a fiery quarrel about their love life. Izzie kissed Denny. Burke and Brad got shot down outside the hospital. Amazing Episode of Grey's Anatomy Season 2, what a heavy ending of this Episode. Burke and Brad were shot, will they survive this?

wtf

OK! Great acting but this Izzie and Denny storyline is RIDICULOUS!!!! I'm rewatching after not watching for a long while. I get it's for TV, it's great TV but it's a little frustrating to watch. Izzie should've got fired and never allowed to practice medicine again or some huge consequence. I heard even Katherine Heigl didn't like this storyline, and for good reason.

Unbelievable...

... how this stupid blonde trailer park b*tch overstepped her boundaries. Izzie should not be allowed to practice medicine anymore, she was way out of line and always, always had that problem to be too close to patients. And how childish Addy-Derek-Mer acted was just the icing on the cake. Like toddlers in child care, please, GROW UP!!

How I miss the integrity in this show...

Warning: Spoilers
Where writers didn't write storylines based on political correctness. Characters messed up, and they didn't get a free pass, based on who they were, or what they stood for. That's refreshing, and depressing at the same time. Because it was 2006, and we have almost twenty years of far left sabotage behind us. And most people are fine with it. 17 Seconds is where the season gets a little too dramatic, but it makes for good TV. There's also a touch of humor, with the guy using his girlfriend as a human shield. And other moral dilemmas, with the parents who want to use their dead daughter as an incubator. As well as tension buildup between characters, and confirmations to why Callie never was a character I was found of... The moment Izzie literally cuts the chord, and Burke is shot. You know the episode isn't playing. And that song, during the chaotic closing scene, makes it even more intense.
