A lot of first times

Warning: Spoilers
When I think of it, most episodes set in space are really good. Probably because then tend to have action, spectacular settings and a lot of action -and most often, we get to see some familiar supporting characters. Sadly enough, Jacob is now the only survivor in that category, but he's still great, and his relationship with Carter always provides some nice moments.

I also never tire of seeing how familiar SG1 now is with spaceships and alien technology in general (even though O'Neill comically complains that they never get to bring them back in one piece). Having SG1 (and Jacob) operate one underwater is new and offers some good action scenes. It also allows Jonas to really earn his place in SG1, which is one of the main purposes for the whole episode --but fortunately, not the only good part.

Thor's Virus

Jacob and the SG-1 head to a Goa'uld mother ship stranded in Earth orbit and abandoned with no crew. O'Neill, Jacob, Sam, Major Paul Davies and Dr. Friesen go on board while Teal'c and Jonas stay in their ship. Sam finds that the Goaul'd ship is the same that kidnapped Thor and the self-destruct system is activated. Soon they conclude that Thor might have introduced a computer virus since the self-destruct system is now disabled. Jack wants to bring the ship to Earth but Jacob does not recommend since it may be dangerous for the Earthlings. Out of the blue, they are attacked by Jafars that kill Dr. Friesen and program the ship to crash on Earth. What will happen to the SG-1 and their friends?

"Descent" is a full of action episode of "Stargate SG-1", now with the important participation of Jonas Quinn. The plot is well developed with tense moments and great conclusion. My vote is seven.

Another day another trashed piece of alien technology

Another day and SG1 trashes yet another piece of alien technology, but still a decent storyline and good acting. I would like to know what kind of mascara and eyeshadow Carter is using for it to survive being submerged in ocean water without even so much as a smudge.
