Stargate SG-1: Descent (2002)
Season 6, Episode 3

When I think of it, most episodes set in space are really good. Probably because then tend to have action, spectacular settings and a lot of action -and most often, we get to see some familiar supporting characters. Sadly enough, Jacob is now the only survivor in that category, but he's still great, and his relationship with Carter always provides some nice moments.

I also never tire of seeing how familiar SG1 now is with spaceships and alien technology in general (even though O'Neill comically complains that they never get to bring them back in one piece). Having SG1 (and Jacob) operate one underwater is new and offers some good action scenes. It also allows Jonas to really earn his place in SG1, which is one of the main purposes for the whole episode --but fortunately, not the only good part.
