Comets: The Icebergs of the Sky!
Tweekums9 March 2012
Warning: Spoilers
The crew are ready to quit their jobs after a visit to the cannibal planet but soon change their minds when the Professor tells them that he is taking everybody on a cruise. The omens aren't good though; they are booked on the maiden flight of the space liner Titanic! Things look even worse when acting captain Zapp Brannigan decides the set course is too boring and would rather take a course though an area with lots of comets, or as he calls them 'the icebergs of the sky'! It isn't all disaster though; romance is in the air as Bender falls for a rather posh robot, Countess de la Roca, and Fry has to pretend to be Leela's Fiancé to avert Zapp's attentions and Amy's girlfriend to stop her parents trying to set her up with any bloke who might provide them with grandchildren.

It was good to see quality characters Zapp and Kif return in this episode; Zapp is just as stupid as ever and just as keen on Leela; ultimately though it is Kif that ends up with his arms around a beautiful woman! The scenes where Fry was pretending to be with Leela and Amy alternately were pretty funny and it was nice to see that Leela seemed to be more than a little jealous when he was with Amy. Bender's story makes a change from his usual behaviour as he appears to genuinely care about the Countess de la Roca and it was rather funny when it emerged that she wasn't just a member of a yacht club; she was a yacht!

The One With The Space Titanic...
taylorkingston19 October 2014
Warning: Spoilers
I really like this episode. I find it really funny. I like the how they used the idea of The Titanic in this episode.

In this episode, everyone is going on a space cruise. It is the largest, most luxurious space cruise ship ever built. Remind you of anything? It should remind you of The Titanic. And not only does it sound the same, but it sounds exactly the same. The name of the ship is The Titanic. Once on board, Bender falls for a classy, sophisticated robot Countess. Remind you of anything? It should remind you of Jack and Kate from The Titanic movie. Meanwhile, Fry dates Leela and Amy at the same time. And Captain Zapp Brannigan decides to make this ride adventurous when he makes the ship go through a storm of comets. Or as he calls them, "the icebergs of the sky". Wink, wink. So many little hints in this episode.

Overall, I give this episode an 8 out of 10.

Another brilliant episode!
tv_is_my_parent25 November 2014
The show gets increasingly better as the crew takes a vacation on the ship Titanic, yeah, the Titanic. The episode, of course is full with references to the movie from Leo's head to "like French girls" painting.

My favorite character Bender falls in love with a high socialite lady in this episode. The plot is told both brilliantly and hilariously. Leela and Fry's affection for one another gets stronger as both feel alone on the vacation.

It also has a climax similar to Titanic as the annoying captain Zapp steers the ship to a black hole just for kicks and the crew members are saved by Leela but Bender's lovely lady friend perishes. Like I said another brilliant one in a series full of brilliant episodes. I don't understand why such a marvelous show keeps getting canceled. My vote is 9.5/10. Wonderful!
