I'm pretty sure that my comment will get bashed, just for my (low?) voting, but although I did like the movie overall, there were just a few things, that really didn't the mark (with me at least). It starts with one too ... While it was surely meant to unsettle us, I was beginning to feel more than uneasy, watching the "camera" angle that was chosen .. again I know this was vital to the story, but that doesn't mean that everyone has to love and or like it. I'm pretty sure I couldn't have handled a feature length film that would've been filmed entirely like the beginning few minutes ...
And while we do get flashbacks (important to get more into the main character), it was more his situation that made him lovable, then the person he was. That might have been intentional too, but didn't help me with the main character. A really good movie overall, but I just wasn't as gripped by it, as I thought I would be (I guess I have to read the book, which I haven't yet)
