I was hoping for something like "In Time"
Australian118 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This could have been a good movie, the idea was good, but as the movie progressed there was no sense being made. For a start, when Seb reappears, he doesn't ask the questions, he doesn't behave as someone who lost a year. His girlfriend Nina, doesn't ask where he was, how did he feel, what was it like to skip a year. We gather 2 years passed, but then as the viewer we have no idea whether this went for 2 years, 5 years or 10 years! The Police reaction is not what would really happen in reality. Then, Nina is walking and talking to Jake, no idea how much time has passed, no idea what happened to Seb and it just ends there! The writer had no idea how to end his story and the viewer is left wondering if this was a long TV episode and some answers will be revealed in next week's episode! Waste of tim, stay apart for this movie!

Drama, not SF
atsmiller18 April 2020
Well, yes, read the introduction. This is not an SF movie. No, not at all. It is a drama that explores the so-would-say long-distance relationship. So if you're looking for drama, go ahead. if you are looking for SF, beware.

Boring (non) science fiction !
saptesh78624 April 2020
Firstly it is not science fiction and another it not any interesting movie to be watched. Very dull and boring, nothing happened remarkable till end. There is no climax. I feel 1.20 hours like very long period watching movie. Though plot is good it is not well developed. Apart from this we could not get any answers like how Seb trapped in the time ? what was happened between time ? Why does she love with Jake ? Why do not they take any help of expert or internet to find out solution ? Very boring movie, avoid totally.

a waste of time

Not really worth watching. The story is bad and the endling is meaningless. I didnt expect it to end without explanation the whole movie is 0 out of 10. The worst movie I have ever watched.

Showed such promise
bazza_mckenzie029 December 2023
Had moments of beautiful romance that hinted towards a remarkable love story but was undone by about the third leap and the ending was just a big steaming pile to go through all that and end it on such a boring pointless depressing ending.

Could have been a beautiful romantic film that i would have watched over and over but is just a mixed bag of bad lollies having eaten the good ones at the start of the film.

So much potential and the lead Sheila is sensational such a shame she isn't in more films she's outstanding.

Only wish you'd gone for the full romantic love story instead of showing it beautifully fleetingly, instead turning it into the film that is.

Really Enjoyed It.
cckseven20 April 2020
Yea, not so much Sci-fi, which is what I was expecting and prepared for, (all be it 'B' grade) but I got hooked... on a completely different movie - romantic drama. Hang on, Dont let that stop you either way... I am not a fan of romantic dramas, or australian movies for that matter, but i really enjoyed it, yes, it was not the fastest paced movie, and yes, some poor acting, in particular by Sebs dad, but i fell in love with the main actress & hope to see more of her - Great for anyone that's been in a relationship with "the one" that turned out or is turning out maybe not to be. (Which is most of us) The message is clear without the Sci-fi component. Give it a go... especially if you're young & in the category above.

Gentle Aussie romance with touches of comedy & science fiction
superenigmatix18 April 2020
A movie in the same part of the shopping aisle as About Time but with less comedy and not so famous actors, but still well done for it's limitations and I presume a small budget.

The lead actress is good and there is no bad acting or badly written script and all the other departments do their part well.

Not a movie for the young or those with ADHD, but good for everyone else.

Loved the movie
TheRealToonamiTom25 December 2021
Not a fan of Australia and their current dictatorship government. Scary times down under. That being said, it won't stop me and didn't stop me from enjoying this film. Loved the story. I felt like this was fairly realistic when it came to human interaction and I believe the ending to be how Id expect this to work out if it was ever a thing.

The subtle changes they made to the main actress to make her look older each year was just enough.

Just want to say, looking back at all my past girlfriends I could not imagine dating people like them now. I'm more mature and I am sure they are now also, but i'm talking about younger them. I'm sure they would say the same for me. I was full of myself, didn't take anything serious, and treated life like a game.

This was a great movie that really makes you think about "What ifs".
