Not so good
michaelseither11 February 2020
Promising start with snarky fitness gals chipping away at each other and setting up targets for future horror that you might want to see "get theirs." But once we get to the horror part it's more horrible than horror. Mindless sadistic acts by slow moving dumb antagonist that's completely unrealistic and not horrorific only dumb, brutal and numbingly bad. Couldn't sit through it. Not worth it.

its so bad that its bad...

Warning: Spoilers
"im disappointed. still havent met anyone up to my standards... my level. come on. better than me... faster than me... stronger than me." says the antagonist to her victim. what is this? Highlander? you're expecting some crazy muscular guy with long hair, giant warhammer, studded leather bracers and choker. barbarian class character. but nope. just an crazy middle aged lady with a mallet. whats her motivation to be the master of the universe? maybe they did explain it but i didnt bother to pay attention because the film is so bad. at the point that the antagonist reveal her intentions, no one thinks its a good idea to punch her in the face and run away. victims are so dumb, its frustrating to watch. 2 stars for effort.

Keep watching for the mistakes
dannyreyntiens9 August 2021
This Richard Connell rip-off of "The most dangerous game" is crinworthy yet hilarious. There is so much wrong with this film that you stop focusing on the story but start concentrating on the mistakes that even the simplest of amateur crew wouldn't make.

Warning: Spoilers
Give us a "0" stars option for movies of this "Calibre". This movie is absolute rubbish. There are 6 or 7 "Victims" including several men that couldn't between them take down a 65 kilo woman? Really? Do the idiots that vomited this garbage onto our screens really think that we'd be impressed with this poor effort? The plot is terrible, the acting is just awful and honestly I could name several things I'd rather do than watch this again, multiple dental extractions without anaesthetic being one of them.Avoid this like you would a forest full of dumb bimbos, woke men and an unrealistically sadistic woman.

Warning: Spoilers
Two video work out eye candy goes out into the woods to film themselves for their followers. They invite the final girl to go with them. The woods are is owned by a woman who likes to fight and kill people. That's pretty much it. Arrows to the belly etc. but the gore is all off-camera. Nothing to see here. Waste of talent.

Guide: F-word. No sex or nudity.

It's not very good
richardwworkman19 March 2021
It's like an episode of Hollyoaks.

Tries to be an edgy pursuit horror but fails miserably. Dreadful script, dreadful acting, editing and direction.

A very poor film.

Absolutely dreadful
blueangelical12 March 2022
OMG, I'd say the budget was a tenner and the acting was worth the same.

The bloke in it deserved what he got, two physically fit women and one bloke just took it. Literally could have walked over to the psycho and smacked her in the face with his tripod and that would have been that.

Absolutely pointless. Couldn't watch till the end, really made me shout at the screen.

It was not worth the $10 to buy it.
Olive_Ravencroft11 June 2020
Warning: Spoilers
It was very bad. There was little to no plot. The F-Bomb was dropped almost every 2 minutes for no reason. The "game" that the killer made didn't even make sense. They just made things up on the fly, and the only response to that was, "My game. My rules."

One girl almost got away multiple times. She got in a car, started the car, even turned the heater and headlights on, and still wouldn't escape. She got in and started the car TWICE, and both times she just sat there and did nothing.

Also, there was very little blood or gore or any injuries at all despite the victims being beaten by a mallet. It seems like all the budget for gore was spent on the broken leg in the beginning- which didn't make any sense anyway. Like who in the world breaks their leg because they stepped in a pot hole?

Then when it ended, it just, well, ended. There were no cops or police or justice. It was just rolled credits. If this wasn't a student film, I would be surprised.

Suspenseful and Brutal
RyanCallaway24 October 2020
It's the story of a group of people lured out into the wilderness to compete in a fitness trial, only to then be hunted down by the landowner. I quite enjoyed this film. The main characters were all fairly interesting, and their deaths actually carried a surprising weight because of how brutal and realistic they were. Even a certain character whom I hated, I found myself rooting for. The acting was solid and authentic, it was well shot (lower budget but it all looked good), and the story pretty decent. Also kind of ironic the main character spent weeks getting into tip top shape only to have it all rendered ineffective by an injury early on. Anyway to each their own, lots of negative reviews but I really liked this film.

I'm going to buck the trend and say I really enjoyed this film.
suzannebainbridge26 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I can see I will be the lone person who thinks this is a bloody good film done on a small budget.

Basically a couple of fitness youtubers have been paid to promote some sort of protien drink and they with a cameraman and a third girl are to meet in a wood to create a video. They're met by the land owner who is a particularly sour woman and what happens is that this woman hunts them down one by one.

There is more to this but not much more. I thought the acting was decent, the blood and gory bits, very realistic and the protaganist being a woman is a nice change.

So I'm not sure why people are so harsh about this film, maybe it's easier to be negative than positive so I'd just give it a try.

Incomprehensibly bad
greg-295351 November 2020
Some of the worst writing and acting I've ever seen, coupled with an absolutely idiotic plot. Not scary not tense, but certainly annoying. I have to reiterate how bad/unrealistic the dialogue was. It was painful to watch. Whenever I see a movie this bad I am at a loss as to how got made.

Such Possibilities
tinahale-2510924 March 2020
This movie had such possibilities but couldn't seem to "get" there. Did not explain what was happening nor why is was happening. Jumped around from one scene quickly to the other leaving you with so many questions. And suddenly it was time to end the movie so it just "ended"............ I do not understand why movies these days are not "thought through" to the very end. Someone just says "Let's make a movie" and it ends up being just awful when it could have been really good.

Makes even the most Generic Film seem 180% more Complex than this!
vengeance207 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Ok so finished watching after recently buying & damn why did I predict this was going to be bad!?

The film starts out ok, until it gets to the story where with the help of some eye candy it sort of improves. But typically like that of all Straight-To-DVD Films, the quality of acting, filming & editing really shows. It's not convincing enough & comes off as fake.

The films plot made paper seem thicker. It was THAT thin. Honestly, there was no reasoning or point behind the premise or it's antagonist. Basically a group of young women get invited to a remote forest to supposedly shoot a fitness video, but as predicted, that's not case as the villain has other plans. She basically wants to kill these women & it's camera crew in a Hunger Games esque type fashion. That's it. No reason. No point. Not even remotely a viable reason, just let's them roam around as she walks over to them slowly like Michael Myers, killing them in gruesome ways with weapons she has hidden in places only she knows they're hidden. Wow.

The gore was pathetic. The violence ok. The kills ok. The story was just so simple that it wasn't even a plot. It was just 1 hour & 8 minutes or so of the group being killed off so easily by this woman who looked not the least bit scary or intimidating. She's could've been easily over powered by these guys, but nope. For the sake of plot convenience, the villain is strong & the victims no matter how fit & healthy are weak & helpless, not convincing.

The end was dumb. They boyfriend was never seen again or killed I don't know but he just vanished & the "final girl" just had to win.

Overall a plot less, short & pointless film that wasn't even scary or sinister. Eye candy gains a point & I think 2/10 is bloody generous given the mess this film was.

HOW DO THESE ACTORS GET WORK WITH SUCH BAD PERFORMANCES - DO THEY WORK VERY CHEAP?
colhly29 March 2022
Got to be the worst, badly acted film ever. How do they get work when they churn out such rubbish. Beyond awful. The worse actor of all was the chronic Grace, the landowner, Jodi Colucci, with her awful accent and terrible attempt at acting. Bet she doesn't work after this and obviously was not chosen for her looks!

The most amazing thing though is how someone with a severely broken leg was able to walk so well and expel only a few screams at such pain - they do say fresh air makes you feel better.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Top three worst horror movies. Sooooooo bad!
matthewjameslewis25 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Now in my top three worst horror movies. And I have watched A LOT of horror movies. Awful from start to finish: Story: Wow, if your freaked out by the thought of fighting off a middle aged woman in a forest who keeps telling you no one can beat her and she's the best (should have cast Katie Hopkins) then this movie maybe for you. Otherwise don't waste that presious £5.00 and 1 hour and 15 minutes you'll never get back Script: really crap Directing: don't know if there was directing Cast: Nope Filmography: Should have used a gopro for the drone you'd have got sharper, cleaner images. No one who had a hand in this should quit their day job. The most impressive thing about it and honestly I was thinking whilst watching is how did they get this into the distribution network and pay for its manufacturing......... this sounds harsh I know BUT too three worst horrors (and general movies) with literally hundreds watched.

This Was Just So Bad
soulfunkyjazz5 August 2023
I just watched this last night and i couldn't believe how really bad this miserable excuse of a movie was. My first question is how does this type of drek get green lit to be made in the first place? The only thing that i liked and gave one star as a rating was the actual idea of this movie psycho slaughters people in the woods ok its not original but this could have been done so much better .Better actors better script better directing .This was supposed to be a horror movie there was nothing scary about any of it .Also it was just too unrealistic the actual killer was a middle aged woman who looked just about as scary as a garden hose she looked like your next door neighbour or someones aunt watching her chase after this big burly dude who had just taken a beating from her and was crawling on the ground for his life was laughable .Personally i found the whole cast annoying i lost a whole hour of my life watching this tripe.

'oo is ard anuff': An In-depth Study in who is HARD ENOUGH.
beechris-799402 June 2022
A question that all humanity answers deep in their subconscious but very very few are brave enough to answer and even fewer are brave enough to claim.

This visionary movie deals with more than words could explain.

That moment when I realised that it was not the deranged (and sensationally played) Grace who was the titular bone breaker but we were watching the origin of the bone breaker mythos via our final girl - who is the one who breaks her bone and the medium of cinema.

Highly recommended.

So Bad
chad-613132 September 2021
75 minutes is not a movie - I've noticed this a lot recently with newer films coming out as well. I guess if this was a film worth watching I wouldn't mind so much. Unrealistic, subpar acting, and a storyline that will put you to sleep. I did get a laugh at watching the killer lady trying to swing a sledgehammer, but that's all I got out of it.

Waste of time!!!
sheenahgok24 March 2021
Can't believe it, I was wasting my time watching this movie. I thot it was a horror movie but end-up watching a comedy movie. Why I said it's comedy? Because, the characters are treated as they're dumb and no common sense at all. A girl was just sleeping on the ground while she was haunted, another girl was so dumb that she kept bragging of herself (she didn't run) until she was struck with a crowbar by her psycho villain. And the other girl was just sitting inside her car not even calling her bf or anybody else by a phone and she just simply sit there with no effort at all to escape.

Well, this can be a good movie if not best if your audience is 7-8 years old. Unfortunately, this is not for mature adults.

Hope they can come up with a better script next time not just for kids but as well as for adults and teenagers.

Nasty characters in nasty situations.
parry_na16 January 2021
To begin with, 'Bone Breaker' introduces us to a bunch of casually attractive go-getters whose dialogue consists mainly of motivational speeches and modern day cliches, either to themselves or their fellows: 'Not gonna lie', 'that's the badger', 'we only want people that look the part', 'I need to be taken seriously', 'I'm not just a pretty face'... and so on. It's established that in this clique, only pretties are allowed, only toned, fitness obsessed skinnies are wanted. On their vibrant platform of the internet, it's all about self-promotion and followers. If you like spending your time with people that talk like this, you'll enjoy the characters. Or not, of course - the bitchy exchanges between them encourage us not to take them too seriously. But really, their 'hashtag' quotes and exchanges and ideas about their own self-worth are *loathsome*. The gym-bods on very self-satisfied display are surely to be despatched by the mad hammer-dragger at loose in the woods as displayed on the DVD cover. That's the hope.

The pacing of 'Bone Breaker' is odd. The girls are attacked by someone who receives no-build up, and then left. The audience is then treated to drawn out scenes of them in varying degrees of pain, out in the biting wilderness (and it really does look freezingly cold). Their plight is communicated very well (especially Rachel, played by Sophie Jones), but there's no subsequent progression for ages, before the villain returns to administer a little more bloodless violence.

Exasperatingly, the girls actually see the killer as a fitness rival. "I'm better than you, faster than you," Ruby (Lucy Arden) taunts the weapon carrying psychopathic antagonist. Not only is this unwise, it demonstrates the swathe of the arrogance and shallowness displayed by the people we are supposedly meant to route for. There's no need to make our heroines this dreadful.

I noticed a location toward the end that seemed familiar - turns out 'Boner Breaker' is produced by many of the same team responsible for 'Dark Path (2020),' including writer/director Nicholas Winter. There are further similarities: a cast of mainly strong-minded females, with a handful of ineffectual males; pursuit through woodlands, and the finale, both of which end in a similar manner. My score is 5 out of 10.

I Was Able to Finish It
rudymagoo20 October 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I made it all the way through, which-even at a short running time-is more than can be said for many horror movies I randomly click on.

The synopsis is disingenuous:

"A group of friends" = A couple social media fitness personalities who hate each other, a cameraman, and another person that nobody's met

"Looking for an extreme weekend" = Going to the home of a corporate sponsor to film a quick product spot for their streaming show

Which brings up the question: If you're filming a short spot for your YouTube channel of you drinking a smoothie in a forest, why do you have to go 4 miles into the forest to film it? Better trees? More motivational background bird songs?

Also, the sun can't seem to make up its mind what time of day it is. Guy touches fence, silhouetted against a late dusk sky...Immediate cut to wounded girl in clear daylight. Car is maybe 50 feet away, clearly visible light...walk to the car, open the door, and the sun has set.

Speaking of the car... I'm not sure of the logic behind being chased by a killer, making it to a car, starting it up, being able to rev the engine with your leg, but not being able to drive due to your injured leg. So you grab a blanket to take a nap?

On the plus side: It started out promising with the irreverent dialogue and interactions between the couple, as well as the buildup to the interview and interview itself. It had a realistic sense of humor about itself. At least at first. Maybe that helped propel me through the rest of it.
