Always be wary of a friendly game of cards.
Sleepin_Dragon3 June 2019
One thing you can imagine about living in such a glorious estate, would be the lack of neighbours. In this episode though, Alison and Mike get to meet them, Bunny and Barclay, a drunk and a card shark.

This was perhaps the funniest episode of the series. I loved the scene where Alison enlisted to help of Mary for the card game, who obviously had no inkling of what playing cards are. We finally get to see the Ghosts be a help to Alison.

It's such a winner. 8/10

Warning: Spoilers
Well-done episode here. Ghosts can certainly benefit from incorporating more characters, even a guest appearance, than just the undead. I doubt this is a sign of things to come unfortunately though as they seem stuck to that format.

"Moona Ston" infinitely preferable to Friends

Warning: Spoilers
Alison and Mike Cooper meet their local neighbours and landowners, the Beg-Chetwynde's Bunny and Barclay.

When Alison Cooper realised something of the full extent of who they were she, got somewhat carried away with imagining herself as Lady Alison Button.

A special calendar event for Robin looms nye that of a lunar eclipse, that the celebrations of which is in his very DNA.

Button House spiritual residents prove to be a virtual family, as they all prepared to join in with the festivities.

However all Alison is concerned with is hosting her first dinner party for the local gentry, and the "Moona Ston" doesn't exactly fit in with that.

So churlishly she decided to fob them off with her TV box set of Friends, but Alison got her just deserts by expecting Mary to watch her cooking.

Neighborly Visit
Hitchcoc24 December 2021
When a couple of rich neighbors come to visit, they tell the family that they own access to the house. Mike stupidly thinks that 20 pounds for the rights is fine, not realizing it it is 20,000. The ghosts cause huge problems and are pushed aside by watching "Friends" on DVD. Meanwhile, there is an eclipse.

Moonah Ston

Barclay Beg-Chetwynde introduces himself to Alison and Mike. He is the neighbour who lives about a mile away and he also owns the nearest village.

Alison and Mike learn that he own part of the access way to the drive to their own house. They invite him and his wife to dinner to discuss it and it ends up in a friendly game of cards.

The ghosts meanwhile celebrate an eclipse for Robin and end up watching Friends.

Alison realises that relying on the ghosts for a dinner banquet is not a good idea.

I found this to be a frustrating episode. There were some good bits and Geoffrey McGivern is always good value.

I could never understand how Alsion could rely on someone to get it right when they so often got it wrong. It just made it all less funny.
