Magic Hidden Horses?

Warning: Spoilers
Did anyone else notice the horses survive the night unprotected from the roaming band of armless dinosaur? There is a LOT I let slide in SiFi but obvious giant plot holes are a bit much. Otherwise I really enjoyed this episode.

Robot Chicken

I keep using the word "Solid" in my episode reviews of this second season of Lost in Space", and that's genuinely how I feel about it. It hasn't suddenly become the best show on TV, or anything like that, but this run (especially compared to how patchy the first one was) has been good, reliable, entertaining television.

Whilst chastising Captain Kamal (Sakina Jaffrey) about risking the life of his daughter, John (Toby Stephens) overhears some radio communications and is whisked away from the Bridge. Concerned about what he heard, he forms an alliance with Dr. Smith (Parker Posey) to find out more. Meanwhile, Maureen and Will (Molly Parker and Maxwell Jenkins) transport the robot back to the rendezvous point which gives Adler (JJ Feild) the chance to assess the machine.

Whilst not perhaps as self-contained as some of the other episodes, this was more directed towards bringing the family back together and uniting them behind a common goal. It was also nice to see a few new dynamics in play, than we've seen before. It's setup, I assume, for how the remaining three episodes are going to shape up to conclude this run. As I said in the first paragraph, it's all good stuff. Performances good, visual effects are excellent, (the stampede was visually pretty strong, even if I'm not sure exactly what the robot actually did) and the plot makes sense - which you haven't always been able to say with this show. Though, as one of my fellow reviewers has pointed out, I'd assumed that the raptor things had eaten the Horses, or at the very least scared them off, only for them to appear unscathed here.

Interesting stuff, shaping up nicely as we're heading towards the conclusion.

Good

Good directing in this episode. Not sure on why the evil robot "fooled" Will & Adler to only reveal directly to Will he wasn't his robot - didn't make much sense to me. Pace was ok and good development on robot.

Evolution

This is a great episode, with strong performances and a some needed twists on the characters and usual tropes. It accomplishes a lot and sets up an exciting final run for the end of the season.

It's odd to me that so many of the reviews on imdb for this episode are actually referring to the previous episode, Severed.

An emotional one!

This is the first series where it's hard for me to just watch one episode!! All of them are pretty good and keeps reeling me in for the next one! This episode was a bit more emotional. First of all, I was a little upset that they left the horses tied up by themselves where they couldn't be seen because of those dinosaur things. But great reunion for Will and the robot. And that Smith character is evil! Pretty good series...always keeps me on the edge of my seat.

Science error?

Just a minor flaw that makes little difference to plot. A thermos bottle contains heat or cold due to a layer of rarefied air (sometimes referred to as a vaccum) because long wave heat has difficulty passing through areas of few molecules. Space is rarefied air with molecules widely dispersed. 4 humans and their associated microbes would generate heat that would adversely affect their health while surrounded by vacuum more so than the cold invading the container. I think far more likely occupants packed into a small crate would displace the air necessary for 4 humans to breathe
