I am heartbroken over the loss of Marcus Kane, mainly because I have been a huge fan of Henry Ian Cusick since his Desmond days. Plus, his character is one of the very few who knows what diplomacy is. He's come such a long way from season one. He will be missed.
This was a pretty good episode. There has really been no slow moments this season and I am enjoying it, as long as I don't take the plot too seriously. Although there have been a ton of eye-rolling inducing moments, for the most part I can't wait to see what happens next. I will miss Kane, but his character had taken a backseat for the last couple of seasons and it was probably time for him to move on. I hope Diyoza comes back soon, and I really want The 100 to somehow incorporate time travel.
- I feel sorry for Gavin. He happily gave up his life to the cause and the cause lasted about fifteen minutes. Your life didn't mean that much, apparently.
- Gabriel is a very compelling character. I hope he decides to stick around, though I feel like he may perhaps be a new love interest for Octavia.
- I am torn about this season. I love that it's so different from what we watched, and that it's falling more into sci-fi territory, but I also feel like the storyline and its details are all over the place. My Wizard of Oz comparison from an earlier episode still applies now, what with the green tornado. I wouldn't have been surprised to see Octavia on a Harley cackling as she rides it.
- So...Gabriel hypnotizes her and she kills her violent half in a battle to the death in her dream and wakes up back to her old self? I love that Octavia is looking for redemption, but that was a little too hokey for my taste.
- I love that Indra is back. I wondered when she would finally make an appearance! To her credit, it didn't take her long to adjust to what was happening.
- Good thing she didn't ask about her daughter because we have no idea where she is. Or where Madi the little murderous jailbird is. Now that's a storyline that just irritates me.
- I am grateful for the Josephine possession because Clarke no longer annoys me every episode and I am actually happy to see her back. I'm really over the Josephine character.
