"Dev's Diary" is an 8-episode mini series that takes us behind the scenes of the television series "The A List". Now maybe you will ask: what series? and same here, I never heard of it before I must admit. And from what i saw in this making-of, I clearly wasn't missing much. Luckily each episode runs for only 1.5 to 3 minutes, so you can watch the entire thing in roughly 20 minutes. Jacob Dudman (aka Dev) is the cast member who takes you through the sets this time. I thought 4 episodes from these 8 were weak (2 stars out of 5) and the other 4 were horrible (1 star out of 5). The more solid ones include a crib tour by one of the female actresses, a trip to the zoo, the farewell of one actor and a brief summary when shooting ends. The horrible episodes include some really bad imitations (twice even, one of them including blind liberal sheep propaganda involving a talentless personal attack on First Lady Melania Trump, too scare to go for Michelle?), Jacky who was just really cringeworthy and talentless how it felt to me and a really pointless and uninteresting trailer tour by a guy called Michael. So yeah, while I could see they were having some fun doing this and it did not feel too staged most of the time, the audience will certainly have no fun watching this one. Maybe the really biggest fand of "The A List" will like it, but nobody else should be watching. The comment about how there could be a sequel, i.e. a second season at some point, sounded more like a threat to me honestly than a welcome prospect. And I haven't even seen the show. It''s still pen and undecided I believe. I know for sure I won#t be watching anytime soon because, honestly, the actors I saw in here did not seem particularly talented at all, mostly cast for their looks probably. So overall, I give this one a major thumbs-down. Not recommended.
