Episode 4.11 (3 out of 5 stars)

When the Russians experiment with Supergirl doppleganger affects around the world and hitting some teenagers drugs. They sell the drugs and infect other people into becoming beasts. Decent episode. Nia learning about her family history and her powers that she get when she is dreaming. Alex is feeling something is wrong after her mind has been wiped.

Decent episode.

For those who don't deliberately miss the point....

Y'know, there sure are a lot of malignant "Sons of Liberty" leaving reviews of this episode....

"You, too, are a hero." That's been the ongoing message of this series. And just because a few cranks can't tell a hero from a villain, or think their own hate is more important than others' love, doesn't make that credo any less true.

"I have faith that the love between two sisters will prevail in the end." And so it has, in this show and in this nation's history. The haters will die out, give up, or come over, and we'll keep moving ever closer to truth, justice, and the American way.

Writing just keeps getting worse

Warning: Spoilers
This really is becoming the the worst show out of the 4 of them. Sorry CW agenda drivers your not going to force me to believe in God, the Earth is flat or the moon is made out of cheese. So this hole Nia inheriting powers that travel down a female line is just silly it doesnt pass down through sperm so how is she meant to pass it on again, she cant just magically make eggs now she has had plastic surgery. Also painting people as trans phobic if they dont agree with your point of view, people are free to make up there own minds on these types of issues and you should respect all opinions. They way it was put across that it was terrible for her sister to not see as real woman, sorry thats how she feels and you should respect it as much as you do Nia belief that putting hormones in your body and having plastic surgery to make you look the opposite sex makes her that. This show is getting far to preachy and unbelievable. Would have been a much easier story to believe if you had just said it passes down to any gender.

This episode contained a plot development that viewers might've missed....

Warning: Spoilers
Though "Blood Memory" was steadfastly focussed on 3 story strands: Nia embracing her powers, Alex's bond with Supergirl broken and recreational drugs that turned people into Mr. Hyde, there was one plot development that I latched onto, probably more than the other viewers did. This revolves around Isabel Nal's death. She was fatally poisoned by a spider bite, right in front of her second daughter. This event lead me to wonder how it got into the Nal family home in the first place. Then, I aw the dream where Nia and Naeve are sat drinking tea, and then ravens encircle them. Since ravens are birds that tend to be associated with death, the conclusion I drew from that scene was that Naeve killed her own mother to try to bring forth the powers she believed would be hers. I don't know whether this turns out to be the case, but it would make for a great twist. The other dramatically strong plot arc is the change in Alex's relationship with Supergirl, now that she doesn't know her adopted sister Kara is the Girl of Steel. I hope they expand on this situation through the latter half of Season 4 and into the first several episodes of Series 5.

Warning: Spoilers
I knew for a fact erasing someones memory of someones side /personality will backfire, because alex choices were made through knowing her as supergirl at a very young age... I'm just thankful that the sister dynamic is still in tacked. I Can only hope they figure out how to resolve supergirl's Identity crisis and rectify the other half of the danvers sister dynamic that most of us miss... 3 people I wanted to know her secret 1: being Cat Grant (She Knows already) 2: Lena Luthor and have there bond stronger (but not Lex) and 3 Alex Danvers.. and I'm okay about Trans, Gays bi's or straights and seeing it pan out on tv... I loved Sanvers... I just hate the racist aspect of hatting aliens on Season 4 but I won't give up on the show just because I hate 1 aspect of it... When I commit to a tv show I stick to it through and through until the end. Even if the show digresses... for example Smallville digressed mainly because they drew out Lana/Clark Young Love Dynamic way passed it's expiration date. Kinda like hate how drawing out hate for aliens a little to long.

O Hollywood

The way Hollywood is projecting Russia and Russians, has always been idiotically fascinating for me.

Most things about the episode was ok par the push.

Warning: Spoilers
Okay episode but there was a bit too much focus on the typical content. It felt so forced and completely unnecessary.

Also making her sister the bad guy which despite saying it rudely, was just pointing out that she was genetically not born a female therefore she shouldn't get the powers as it genetically goes to female daughters.

Alex not knowing Supergirl secret identity makes no sense at all
JackFrost-233-4293533 April 2022
We don't need to go into the discussion of how fundamentally silly glasses as a mask are.

But Supergirl looks like Kara, Supergirl sounds like Kara, she probably even smells like Kara, but Alex has no idea, wo the hell Supergirl is?

Alex knows how Supergirl looks like. Even if she has forgotten the past...She came face to face with her in this episode.

Has Alex never seen her sister without glasses and open hair?

Or is she face blind?
