A detailed n eye opening study of the life of a potential immigrant to the UK
martyncooper-528625 January 2020
The strength of this documentary is in the detail of the study of one person's life in the so called Jungle at Calais. Richard Parry (the Director/Cinematographer) spent hours and hours with the main subject over many months and the result is a sympathetic and detailed portrait. One of the points of interest in the film is how the main character finds meaning in his life in the Jungle Camp by taking on various roles supporting others living there.

An amazing bit of mass communication gold- 21 Miles Film shines the disinfectant of sunlight on the human side of the Calais Jungle: For so long we have been told that wveryone in the jungle is mad and bad... ne'er do wells after stealing our hubcaps and scrounging from our benefits system. Director Richard Parry tells a different story - he reminds us that everyone everyone has a family and feels love and hope and have dreams. - Five stars!!!

Stunning documentary that needs to be told

As the view of the world is getting more and more narrow for many people across Europe (and the World), this is a timely documentary to illustrate the struggle of the people left behind; the people that aren't given a voice and are seen as the enemy even before they've been given any chance. Fantastic film making which I hope opens some eyes or at least keeps some open.

Raw, powerful and engaging

A raw, powerful and engaging account of life in the Calais Jungle. Told from the perspective of a Tunisian father attemping to reach his son, this is an emotional journey. An important story to be told, especially in the current political climate!
