I had very low expectations going into this movie. I was pleasantly surprised how good it actually was. More comedy than horror it is funny. I give it a 5

Good premise, flawed execution

The concept of a comedy about a vampire on a time traveling submarine was appealing, and there are a few good moments in the film. But overall, the acting of is poor (some likely intentional, but some not) and some well written lines get lost. Sets were very well done, though.
The title mad me laugh.

The title made me laugh and that was the last time that happened. If fart jokes, many many jokes that are just stupid enough to work when Bob Denver, Alan Hale Jr. we're still alive but no longer. The only explanations I can think of for anyone to give this movie a seven is they are family to people involved in this or drunk/high or some head injury this is not worth the time and I'm not kidding the only laugh I had was reading the title.
Good comedy.

Now this one was a major surprise! And here is why: the movie had close to no budget, almost no sets at all and the most obscure actors they could find.
What worked tho was the comedy, based entirely on conversations, as they really filmed everything in a closed dark space, used some submarine sketches to show the passage of time and thats about it. But that humor, was well written, executed even tho the actors were clearly not pros, they did their very best. So a movie about a nazi submarine with vampires on board, that shows no submarine and close to no vampires manages to work, proving that with a somewhat good script combined with a good execution you can keep people interested even tho funded with a micro budget.
It actually has another theme incorporated into the plot but that one is for the viewer to discover and enjoy. I dont want to spoil this little gem. All in all and taking everything into consideration Subferatu was a fun time and I do recommend it as a black comedy.
Cheers!

What's wrong with this picture?

This was a funny film, with good writing and a great set...the problem I found was that some (not all) of the actors were not up to the task. They either under-acted, or went right over-the-top: must have been frustrating for the Director.
