Warning: Spoilers
Gabe's Homer impersonation of Simon is good. Hachem flops Aces and Jacks verse Cassavetes's Aces Q kicker and a gutshot, Hachem bets 8000 and Cassavetes calls and the turn comes the straight for Cassavetes and Hachem check folds to a bet of 25000. Hachem's playing very well. More impersonations this episode, as Negreanu does his Phil Laak and others including Scotty Nguyen. Antonius calls down Laaks bluff with nothing, Lederer raises to 6000 pre and Laak and Antonius with the straddle on call, Laak bets 16000 on the flop with Ace high and Antonius with 104 calls with 4's, Laak continues barreling betting 37300 on the turn and Antonius calls picking up a flush draw with just his 4's, river comes another blank and Laak bets 80000, a bold play, but him having not value bet on the river most of the previous occasions reduced the number of possible hands he might have, to either a set on the rag flop or an unlikely straight holding or what he had, nothing, Antonius makes an amazing call with just 4's. Lederer raises to 3500 with AK suited and Dwan who joined the table re-raises to 11300 with 86 offsuit and Lederer re-raises to 36300 and Dwan asks how much he has left which is 160000 more, he re-raises to 65600, Lederer should of just pushed here whether he thinks he has it or not, but he doesn't understand who he's playing with, he just calls and then misses and checks every street, Dwan just checks as well hitting the 8 on the turn, but Dwan would of bet if he didn't hit the turn or the river anyway. Lederer feels like a fool when he sees Dwan's hand, Dwan's play is sick but Lederer really beat himself here. If you're not going to just call the 11300 and play your hand for its value and raise it to 36300, then you can't be calling at 65600 and not just stacking off. If you truly believe that play can't be made without Aces or Kings then fold, but they could just have AK and you've thrown away 36300. Alaei folded AK pre to Antonio in a previous season after a re-raise, but Alaei didn't have a lot invested, whereas Lederer chose to re-raise the re-raise, you just have to go with it at that point with that stack size. Raising to get definitive information's a thing of the past.
