Great Spoof of a Hallmark Trope
Is this movie well written, No. Is it campy AF and well acted by the young actress. Yes.

How could you not enjoy this over the top spoof of a classic (and problematic Hallmark trope. A normal everyday girl finding out she is a princess. If it didn't work out for Meghan Markle why should it work out for anyone else.

Pour it Up! 🔪🔪 (2 Knives) 🍷🍷🍷 (3 glasses of wine required)

Child from Hell

This film is about a delusional 10 year old girl who goes on a rampage. Her adoptive mother was very good to her, but with the years of abuse from her mother, causes this girl to turn obsessive about having a better life. This really was a pretty good thriller.

Uniquely LMN

Taking LMN female evilness and inserting into little girl. Lizzie does a great job of making this a "One of a kind " Lifetime movie. Definitely entertaining

HORRIBLE
kazmays448 July 2019
Very pathetic movie. Acting is horrible. And throughout the movie I just wanted to punch the little girl in her face!!! On a lighter note the scenery was nice.

Enjoyable Movie

Warning: Spoilers
I enjoyed this movie. The acting was above average for an LMN/Lifetime movie. I thought all the young girls did a terrific job. Sarah Abbott (Lizzie) did such a good job that my emotions vacillated between wanting to punch her and wanting to hug her. I've seen kids who grew up in an abusive household. I was happy that it ended the way it did because it was kind of a fairy tale ending. In real life it certainly wouldn't have ended this well for Lizzie. She had some deeply rooted issues.

I liked it

Warning: Spoilers
OK so this is one of four mommy's little ... movies. I liked it because it centres on a child whose biological mother was a drug addict who abused Lizzy who even found her mother dead from an overdose. She is adopted by a loving caring woman. To cut a story short after a series of evil deeds by Lizzy (where no one died) the movie ends on a good note. Better ending than Mommy's Little girl for sure!

Bad acting, bad plot
TexasInMyHeart17 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The acting is dreadful. Lizzie almost kills two people, and her adoptive mother and stepsister cheer her up with chocolate lattes. Lizzie is so devious and cunning that I was wondering through the movie if she not only watched her biological mother die but caused it. Would a DNA test so clearly reveal lineage to a particular German family since she was separated by five generations from the last known titled person? The camp Lizzie went to was beautiful, but why would the management allow poison ivy to grow so closely to the grounds without putting up a fence to keep children out of it?

The Royal House of Wittelsbach
lavatch8 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
A couple is struggling to make a go of it with Juliana and Greg not yet married but trying to incorporate into a family Greg's teenage daughter Allie from another marriage and the deeply troubled 12-year-old Lizzy, who was adopted by Juliana.

Juliana and Greg were such loving parents that it was hard to take the way they were treated by young Lizzy, a monster who was abused by her birth mother and watched the pill-popping mom die. But the child is so damaged that it was apparent early on that she desperately needed psychological help.

The young actress was extremely convincing in playing the neurotic Lizzy. The other cast members were all excellent. The best scene was when the older sister Allie talked some sense into Lizzy who was behind a locked door in a pizza joint.

In the end, the transformation of the child who was so insecure that she sought to become the Princess of Wittelsbach into a "normal" youngster was far-fetched. But there were some moving scenes with decent parents and young Allie who was able to instill in the child a genuine sense of family. Very nice scripting on the part of the writers.

The worst movie I have ever seen.
quinten-4215919 February 2020
I've created an account just to warn people about this movie. There was not a single likeable character in its entirety. Everyone is either mindlessly cruel, or offensively oblivious. There was no one worth rooting for, and everyone was so idiotic and poorly written that I very quickly started hoping for an unfavorable end for everyone. The acting was terrible, the sound effects were goofy, and the story was lazy and frustrating. This doesn't even swing into the 'so bad it's good' area. I recommend avoiding this movie.

This is Really a Movie
DVK12345 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Wow. I'm so glad my Canadian tax dollars are paying for a production like this. The story sounds good at the start: abused child goes into care, she is troubled, gets adopted by a supportive family. She is more troubled than anyone can guess. She almost murders her camp counselor, almost causes fatal anaphylaxis to a fellow camper, and her mom thinks it's best if they have a frappuccino before she takes her to the police station. Why do Canadian productions always feel satirical? Acting was alright, the dialogue at times was super cringey. The whole story was exceptionally unbelievable. There were times where we couldn't stop laughing it was that bad.

Must watch!
kreoleefied11 November 2020
This may be a bad movie for the others but, for me... this is a must watch for parents with growing up kids. This could happen in reality if not happening already. I was a teacher before I chose to be a full-time homemaker and as a teacher I did find some weird students. Some who unintentionally hurt the others just because they think they are someone privileged of doing so. I like this movie, regardless of the acting. What was important to me was it gave a msg that family love conquers all.

Poorly written screenplay; choppy editing and flow
ceasson-2549820 December 2019
The storyline of this nature could have been good, but it ended up choppy and predictable. I found the flipping or flow from one scene to another to be odd and confusing, leaving me unsatisfied with the story. The dialogue was campy and predictable. This movie just did not have the flow that would have made it a bit more entertaining, in which case I might have given it a 5... but still not very good. The young actress at the centre of the movie deserves a nod for her efforts as an actress .

Walk away - run away! Waste of time, regardless that the 10-year old girl is a good actress. Reality check needed here, big-time.

This is the worst movie made since of "The Happening"!
itfigures-9601218 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Both the writer and director of "Mommy's Little Princess" should not be gifted another project for the good of movie goers and humanity worldwide. And any producer attached to this movie should ashamed for releasing such an obvious attempt at justifying and rewarding bad behavior. If anything, this MOW is a terrifying example of how society coddles delinquents.

Horrible message and ending/ Disgusting
qianalockhart4 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I felt this movie was yes, bad acting, and over the top with the evil ignorance of the girl's apparent trauma. She is 10, abused and damaged, I get it. What made this most distasteful for me if what happened at the end when on the way to the police station. Getting chocolate shakes and hugs and happy family is more important than before going to take accountability for injuring someone and apologizing to all those she hurt with the painting, almost killing a woman, poisoning a kid, and threatening to kill another. I watched with my daughter, thinking in the end she will have to see someone make mistakes, gets held accountable, and make peace and is forgiven. Complete trash, and underlying message that permissive violence that is excused if you from a certain demographic and you will not have to answer to it.

Genealogy based thriller quite current and well acted by the young actress
phd_travel20 March 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The start needs a bit of concentration figuring out who is who but once you get the family dynamic it's quite a fun ride. The wacko of the week is a little girl and well played by the young actress Sarah Abbott. She is an abused orphan adopted by a woman. When the woman does a genetic genealogy test for the girl, they find out the girl is descended from a German noble family. Because the girl has all these complexes about her background she obsesses about her lineage and being a princess. It's quite a current topic with lots of Americans finding out where their mixed ancestries originate. Like the way the little girl does her wacko deeds. Not too over the top with a satisfying ending.

Bit cringe but it makes up for
vigliettidaniel-247879 October 2019
You can forgive the few times Sarah Abbot drops the act for how well she is able to portray the psycho kid, pair that with a well written script, good camerawork and the story and it's an enjoyable movie.

10 yo Girl that knows what she wants
girls_doll7 August 2022
Great movie about a former underclass girl now adopted by a decent family. But that's not enough for 10-year old Lizzy. After finding out that she genetically derives from an old noble family located in Germany she not only dreams of being a real princess but does everything to become one.

Impressing acting of the young female main actress. A dangerous combination of cleverness, dominance and ruthlessness. Everybody is only a tool for her needs. Her cute appearance perfectly camouflages that.

Yet one point of criticism: Her family should have informed about the position of nobility in Germany. There still exist barons, princesses etc. But they don't have any real privileges nowadays. It's only the title that has remained!

Who likes this movie may also be excited by the German also 2019 movie "Systemsprenger".

Great "bad child" thriller with a happy ending
Disney13513 November 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I watched this last night because it was one of those movies with a bad/crazy child and I liked it but it wasn't like most of those movies where the kid is killed which was a twist for me. The girl Lizzy (who was adopted by a nice family after she was apparently abused by her real mother and is delusional because she thinks she is part of a German royal family) does not kill but puts both a friend and a camp counselor in the hospital. It does have a happy ending which I won't spoil. I would watch this movie again
