Good refreshing and getting back into the show
bosimmons-7037610 May 2019
It's a good solid episode which helps you get back into the groove of the show but the thing that puts it over the edge is the camera work in one scene. This scene is a non-cut walk one take walk through that made the scene dramatic and like you were there walking around with them.

Slow Start That Picks Up Later, But is Still Pretty Good
TheFearmakers12 May 2019
To be honest the first half of this season kind of drags. But then upon rewatching Season 1 and 2 it seems intentional since the first two seasons were one connected story, somewhat, and they had to build a whole new storyline that takes time to take off. With that is a lot of conversations that get painted into corners, and little stories that go nowhere. But then when that light at the end of the tunnel is visible, things pick up.

This season is almost like another show entirely but with the same characters. It's almost like Better Call Saul compared to Breaking Bad: more navel-gazing, personality-driven and less of the mile-a-minute twists and shocks. And that's not too bad.

By the end of this season you'll forget the flaws, if they were that to begin with. With that, the Lizzie character gets more fleshed-out; in this episode she's force-fed onto the audience as someone so powerful, you might wonder why we'd never met her before.

The Con + Action + Drama = Too much drama, not enough action and con
kbeam19 May 2019
Warning: Spoilers
In fairness, only up to #4 of Season 3, but it sure is dragging.

Big fan of action flicks with intelligent, complex and twisty schemes. That summarizes the first two season.

Season 3, so far, has been a relationship drama show with only a distant hint of more complex development. Is now a drama with little action or suspense. Really hope it gets better and replaces all the relationship drama with some action, surprises twists and quirky characters.

Too much angst, gimme some holy-s#it fun.

Episode 301

Warning: Spoilers
The show may the right move jumping right into the thick of things, but there is no big bad villain this season nor is there a story that will really get us sucked in. I expect that to change over time, but so far the premiere as more boring than exciting.
