Sets the tone

Warning: Spoilers
Okay, surgery in a vet trailer was out there a bit. But this sets the tone for the season in a way it hooked me in for the rest of the season for sure. When John gives the hiring duties to his son, you know he's getting things in place to keep it in the family by someone ready to defend it. It also shows trust in a quiet and respectful way. This is Tombstone meets Goodfellas in the modern day with a cast that can make it believable.

This show is fun

It doesn't have to be believable people; it is a TV show. The characters are all over the top and that's OK for a summertime adult soap opera. It looks like season 2 will be more exciting than the first season. Over the top fights, ridiculous cowboy games, billionaire hedge fund guys, cattle vets who double as ER doctors, mad Indians and sexy politicians. Oh, good lord, does Kelly Reilly own every scene she is in?

A Thundering

Warning: Spoilers
The non-stop cursing was a bit over the top, but this was a strong start to the new season for sure. More action and the stage set for some climactic moments down the stretch.

A whimpering
nemesis-8818 October 2020
The protagonist collapses on his farm and a whole bunch of BS starts spewing out!

BS 1: How the hell did that VETERINARIAN saw an ULCER on X-Ray!?

BS 2: RUPTURED ulcer?! That's a first.

BS 3: "He'll bleed out in 20 minutes." From an ulcer!? Girl, you have at least THREE MONTHS for that to happen. People with gun-shot wounds to the HEAD take hours to bleed out.

BS 4: "My anesthesia's for cattle. It'll kill him and I don't know the ALGEBRA to reduce the dose". So she gives small calves and grownup cows THE SAME dose!? What did she finish? Veterinarian courses for total idiots?

WHY OH WHY couldn't it be just appendicitis?

Worst show on television. Worst episode yet.

Warning: Spoilers
This episode was horrible. Bulls in bars, a cowboy shows up on foot with a saddle on his back and a cigar in his mouth? The vet does surgery after doing an xray that doesn't show anything at all, in the back of her vet trailer? It's utterly ridiculous. Not even worth watching the next episode. Really, the richest man in the state is diagnosed with colon cancer, and the animal vet tells him, it's not cancer but a ruptured ulcer, and does surgery on him and tell's him he'll be okay? WTF?

Terrible

Warning: Spoilers
There are so many terrible things about this episode, the worst and most disappointing is that John survives the surgery.

Another episode of grossness
GreggoWhitehead30 May 2021
Why do they have to show the blood and guts? It doesn't add to the story. It distracts from the story. I had to turn the channel for a few minutes. It was disgusting.
