Excellent music in this one. And I nearly cried laughing

The music I have to say was really good in this episode. I kept rewatching the grape song and Meg's musical....performances. And I was laughing the whole time. Really enjoyed this one

Best EP of this Season, and more
jeffreygriffin-8010312 November 2018
About 2 minutes into the episode, the 4th wall was broken in a matter of fact way when the principal of Chris's school told Lois there would be plenty of time to make Italian jokes later in the episode. The 4th wall was broken several other times, but I knew this episode was a classic right away. I have been thinking Family guy was running out of gas for a few seasons now, but when an episode as clever as this pops up, I am happily surprised. No need to explain what this one was about really, the important thing is that fans like me will say Damn, that's the Griffin family I remember making me laugh until my stomach hurt and my eyes watered.

Least funny episode - I couldn't find the plot behind the racist jokes
ianchattaway24 November 2018
I'm a big fan of Family Guy and have really enjoyed the seemingly fresh approach so far this season. The first few episodes with the Brian-marriage-plot were excellent, but in this episode the only actual mildly funny moment in the show was at the beginning when the principal at Chris's school broke the fourth walll to say there would be Italian jokes later. There was a brief scene to set a sub plot with Stewie and Meg with a non-funny singing grape choking Stewie (the baby eating uncut grapes gag wasn't that funny the first time they used it in a previous show) then the entire episode seemed to be an endless stream of racist jokes that were only funny in the heads of the writers. They just went on-andon broken only by a short scene with Mort whose entire character is a racist joke. I watched the show waiting for something actually funny to happen and for the racism to end. It didn't happen. If you watch this episode with the premise that Italian jokes aren't funny (which they are not) then there is nothing left. These jokes belong in the 1970s. I am not Italian, and no Italians were hurt when writing thIs review....... or were they?. (In voice of Peter) "See Seth Myers, that's how to do an Italian joke that's not racist"

A very different, but great episode

This episode was funny. I liked both plots of tonight's episode. The Meg plot was pretty good and the Chris was good too.

Stand by Meg

Warning: Spoilers
I didn't get the reference that Italians are the predominant students in vocational schools, but that is just a minor complaint here.

The episode felt like a waste of Stewie. Another Meg one was not what we needed.
