Sex & Nudity

  • A subtle suggestion that a male/female couple damaged a bed during sex. (This was very subtle, and after the fact so you know that's not how the bed was damaged.)
  • Infrequent male topless nudity, in one episode Jimmy is sitting in an old bath with his nipples exposed, other episodes footballers are seen removing tops and their torsos are fully visible.
  • A man and woman flirt frequently and are implied to have slept together. He talks of marriage to make her an "honest woman".
  • A subplot involves unwed mothers and deals with the stigma of the time. One woman is subjected to an in depth interview about her sexual history in order to be placed in a women's shelter.
  • Most of a woman's breast is shown while breastfeeding a baby.
  • A man jumps in surprise when a tailor brushes his crotch while measuring his inseam.
  • A married man and woman begging kissing passionately against a bed. The scene cuts away shortly after.

Violence & Gore

  • Football roughness on the playing field, and occasional fisticuffs.

Profanity

  • Practically non-existent. (Personal opinion deleted.)
  • In several episodes, the name of Jesus is used as a swear word and Christ is used as a swear word twice in the episode.
  • Damn is used in the first episode.
  • "Posh bastards" is used against one of the rivalry teams.
  • A few uses of "d-n", "h-", and "bastard".

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Characters drink heavily at times. One man becomes drunk and throws some punches.
