I was willing to give it a chance. It's pretty bad. Still, I was willing to give it a chance. But first, I came here to check the reviews. I found at least a dozen "Ten Stars". Ten Stars? For this? Really? So IMDB allows anyone to post reviews. And I suppose one person can post multiple reviews. The result is many repetitive reviews; but worse, overrated assessments. I assume this is done by someone involved in this bad movie. That's real unprofessional, guys. Way worse than just making a bad movie. Unethical and deceptive. By the way, bad movie too.

It seems the 2 reviews were posted by people associated with this horrid waste of cellulite, or perhaps they are just off their meds. All joking aside, this is not a movie, its at best a student film project that went horribly wrong. Sorry, just telling it like it is. With apologies to all involved with this production, Holy Crap.
I hope you all go on to better projects in the future.
Wtf

Warning: Spoilers
Omg this film is unintentionally laughable from the wooden acting and the action scenes. This is a horrid mess between power rangers and Air Bender and Mortal Kombat! This film makes those films look like masterpiece by comparison. You'll love how the villains attack the protagonists one by one and the heroes honour the code of never using deadly force. The choreography is very nostalgic in that it looks outdated.
The acting is like a reserved Pinocchio in that they start off resembling humans but with each dialogue delivered they become more and more wooden.

Radiation from the ozone
nogodnomasters9 September 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The plot is given to us piecemeal. 25% of the world is dead, 2/3 are infected by a pollution-related illness. People have bio-scanners implanted in them to keep them alive from radiation coming in through the ozone. The bio-scanner needs an update as Medican, 411, the Elements martial art group fight each other for the update code.
The acting was bad and the soundtrack annoying. The ozone will and did fix itself with the reduction of ozone-depleting materials. Radiation sickness doesn't linger for years. The science behind the plot was horribly inaccurate and not smarter than a fifth-grader. In addition to bad acting, the fighting was a joke, being done Van Damme style with 20 guys surrounding one guy and coming at him one at a time. What was with the living room chop scene?
Guide: No swearing, sex, or nudity.

But the fighting was so atrociously bad...

Right, well I was lured in by the movie's cover, which definitely was reminiscent of something that you'd see on a Tony Jaa movie. In fact, I think they were actually borrowing so heavily from Tony Jaa movies that it was sort of blatantly theft and embarrassing.
Regardless, I sat down to watch the 2019 movie "Wu Xia 2: The Code" (aka "Immortal Combat: The Code") and I was expecting it to be a martial arts movie. Well, it was - sort of. While there was martial arts and fighting in the movie, it was so amateurishly choreographed, scripted and executed that it was such an eyesore and cringeworthy to watch on the screen. In fact, it felt like it was supposed to be a spoof on the "Mortal Kombat" franchise, given the title of the movie; "Immortal Combat".
The acting in the movie was pretty much as to be expected from a movie such as this. So you shouldn't be setting yourself up for disappointment by expecting some grand Shakespearian performances. Some of the acting performances were adequate, some dubious. So go figure.
This was by no means an outstanding movie experience, and I gave up on the movie with just 23 minutes remaining. I just simply couldn't take anymore of the pointless storyline, the equally pointless characters, and the atrocious fighting. It was just rubbish.
My rating of the movie is a generous two out of ten stars, solely based on the production value of the movie. If you enjoy martial arts movies, do yourself a favor and skip on this one. Don't get suckered in by the movie's cover, because it has nothing to do with the actual contents of the movie.

If you want a good time, get a bunch of friends over to watch this and laugh at how bad it is. I'm not joking. It's free on YouTube so don't pay any money to see it. I don't think the filmmakers spent any money on this themselves and it shows. All the positive scores anywhere are by cast and crew trying to cheat the system with illegitimate reviews. Disgusting, but the movie is still hilarious if you like watching amateurs who don't know how bad they are.
Just dont.

The entire budget from this film was spent on shoehorning an opening bs rant about climate change destroying the world in 10 years and 3rd world countries are the innocent ones and they are the ones who suffer.

A Solid Independent Action Film
peteroctb-110-84361923 December 2019
To state it simply, this is a solid, independent film with plenty of suspense, action, and exceptionally choreographed fight sequences. What is even better, is that the filmmakers did not ignore the importance of having a good, complete, and timely story as the vehicle to present all of the intense, action-eye-candy. The cinematography, sound, sound editing, and picture editing are also well executed. This is clearly director Johnny K. Wu's best film to date. I had the opportunity to see the film on the big screen, which was a real treat . This is a perfect Friday / Saturday night popcorn movie. Cheers to the cast and crew; well done!

A fantastic martial arts film!
riaz_khan1113 September 2020
Running at a brisk 80 minutes, Wu Xia 2 the Code is an extremely entertaining martial arts film with a scifi twist. Our ragtag group of heroes take on a shadowy organization who will stop at nothing to attain ultimate power by taking control of a mysterious artifact. With awe-inspiring stunts, a pulsating score and a thrilling narrative, Wu Xia 2 ticks all the right boxes. The film is, in essence, an 80 minute action packed ride filled to the brim with extreme stunts and crazy action sequences. The film is elevated by perfectly casted actors whose chemistry meshes together very well and all this is held together by a script that not only allows the actors moments of great levity but also lets them showcase their acting chops. All in all, Wu Xia 2 the Code is an extremely entertaining film that is well worth your time.

This movie took me to another world, a world where we are heading towards, a world where environmental degradation is real problem.

I am not going to give you more spoilers, you have to see this masterpiece by yourself.
Good luck..

As a fan of most genre's, this action packed movie leaves you wanting more.
A wonderful and very talented cast has your attention purely focused on the plot as well as the action scenes, which there is plenty of.
This is not Hollywood made, yet does have a slight feel to it as of all the stunts. You can tell that this was professionally put together and that the entire cast works very well with one another.
If you are into action films, this one is for you.

Amazing Action Film

Wow, this martial art, action film is quite amazing. The fight scenes were very well choreographed with actors doing their own stunts. I also love seeing the diverse cast in this futuristic setting with some traditional Asian themes. The cinematography, editing, sound, and original music was also nicely done. Overall, it's a well-made independent film.
Looking for awesome movie

Wu Xia 2 the Code is a 2019 science fiction action film directed by Johnny K. Wu and starring Ben Zgorecki among others. It's a fun genre flick for anyone interested in some entertaining high-octane action.
Johnny Wu has previously directed Wu Xia: A Martial Arts Tango back in 2016, but that was a short movie. This one is a sequel that is feature-length and thus much more memorable and providing more story than just action. The story follows this group of fighters who want to bring back clean air to Earth. They are the Five Elements and their dynamic is one of the driving forces of this entire movie.
Ben Zgorecki as Cloud is clearly the most interesting and best developed of the bunch, and he probably received the finest action pieces out of all of them. But others are also memorable themselves with the most interesting addition being Crystle Paynther Collins in the role of Water. She's great without a doubt. The villains are also pretty good, but the heroes are better developed overall. The main attraction when it comes to this movie and what is now basically a franchise has to be the action and it is undoubtedly a lot of fun. Although the movie was clearly made on the cheap and the action is reminiscent of all those B-movies in the action genre, especially coming from the nineties, there is no denying their entertainment value, which is quite big. For any martial arts fan, the movie is bound to satisfy in spades as it has a lot of action set pieces and the mix of the number of people in involved as well as different locations made for a lot of necessary versatility and diversity of fights. The choreography is above average, and very much respectable for a movie that isn't a major Hollywood blockbuster.
Wu Xia 2 has such memorable and fun action that it's a shame that the storyline isn't as strong. Undoubtedly, the science fiction elements are great and especially the VFX and various gadgets are well realized and so is the film's ecological theme that is the focal point of the whole movie plotwise. However, the plot overall ended up being too simplistic and the action overtook the storytelling way too many times, thus the storyline ended up being just okay and serviceable.
Consequently, Wu Xia 2 is a movie for action fans first and foremost as the SF elements are underutilized and clearly not the film's biggest selling point nor is it its focus. There are some interesting plot points here and there, including some twists, but for the most part the action is the star here as the choreography is so good and the diversity of the various action scenes is the highlight. The movie is also very well edited, quite well paced and solidly directed, though the cinematography and the score could have been a bit better overall. But for anyone interested in a smaller action film, Wu Xia 2 is surely a good option, especially for the fans of the original short movie upon this one improves a lot.
