I'll say right now I'm not a fan of Trump but I find his support by the Republicans and the evangelical community to be puzzling. The man is a New York Liberal. He was a registered democrat for most of his life. He never was a religious or pious man. He's been married three times, cheated on every single wife he has and yet is seen as being a family man.

How is this even possible? It's because some people simply don't care who the candidate is and just blindly support the guy with a "D" or "R" beside his name. And this movie is a perfect example of this.

For some reason we're dealing with people that believe that God not only exists but actually cares about how is in charge of the United States. He doesn't seemingly care about any other country like North Korea. No, only the United States matters in his eyes or at least that's what a lot of American evangelicals seem to believe.

What we have in this movie is terrible acting. Terrible special effects. Terrible reasons for supporting Donald Trump and a desire to ignore all the bad stuff he's done.

And yet the faithful will go see it, praise it's message, and give it 10/10 because they're a bunch of sheep. There's a reason why a congregation is called a "flock". They just sit there and accept whatever is told to them.

Maybe they'll wake up in a couple of years when America is no longer a superpower.

We went to this - It was like 3 movies - all of them bad - although the first part, the firefighter who is told by God that God wants Trump, was not just propagandistic, but it was so slow and poorly done. Designed to make people afraid so that they are receptive to the ideas put forth in the next two sections - which run like slick ads for going to war - (they sacrificed themselves and now it is our turn music playing to a bunch of pictures of folks with loved ones in frames who fought wars), and then the final part which is a bunch of interviews with mostly white guys talking about the founding father's setting forth a Christian state (they did not - they were secular humanists) and Capitalism (which is an economic system and not a political system) being the political system of the US. Most of this was just manipulative propaganda.

This "movie" is among the least substantive, most pearl-clutchingly vapid pieces of media I've ever seen.

It is devoid of anything meaningful, and appears to only exist as a method of moving money between private parties.

This review has nothing to do about my political views. In fact, I voted for Trump. With that said, this was THE worst movie I have ever seen. Poorly produced and up until the half way point, the script could have been written on a Post-It note. Lot's of dead space and very little substantive dialog.

The acting was terrible and "special effects" were embarrassing. The story behind the movie was certainly interesting but the acting and dialog was just way too cheesy.

The scenes seemed to be disconnected one from another and even the very ending after the movie made no sense and had NOTHING to do with the movie! (the part where you had family/friends holding up war hero's - how is this related in any way to what the movie was about????

Lastly (and this was a biggie for me), IF this movie was conveying a Christian world-view, why didn't the writers make mention of the ONE MAIN and CENTRAL FOCUS of the Christian message.........and that is the Grace and Salvation of Jesus Christ?

Interesting concept for a movie - poorly executed and acted.

For Trumpers and the other brain dead

The description tells it all. This is a film for those who swallow everything Trump says and stands for. Trump won the 2020 election. God wants us to torture and kill people who's skin is darker than yours. Horse worm medicine protects you from Covid. The path to making America great again it to make all other countries less than. Lying, no matter how much or how outrageously, is all right as long as it advances whatever your agenda might be. So is throwing your followers and loyalists under the bus as long as it protects you. How anyone can be so sick and have such a sense of entitlement that they consider themselves this superior to the rest of humankind is beyond me, but they and the rest of the anti-vaxxers are all welcome to die a slow and painful death.

What in blazes did I just watch?

This blatant propaganda piece was so bad, it changed me from a lurker to an actual reviewer on this website for the first time in over a decade. Acting was atrocious, the dialogue was delivered with the same gusto of a middle school play, and that's not even touching on the subject matter.

Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs. Hard stop. As long as you are not bothering me or someone I love, or interfering with the freedom of others, I could care less what you believe.

It's really hard to apply that philosophy when you are dealing with a dangerous cult that is wanting to transform society to reflect their own narrow interpretation of a 3000-year-old text.

"Movies" like these are designed to appeal to the ignorant and uneducated, stir up their hostilities through their confirmation biases, and have them walk away from the experience more deeply entrenched in their bubbles, ready to take on "the libs". That term, of course, has slowly transformed over the course of the years to mean every single person that does not 100% agree with them.

This movie was physically painful to watch, and even more agonizing knowing that other people were buying into it hook, line, and sinker. These are sad times, friends.

Anti American Propaganda

If you value freedom and education, you will realize this is pure propaganda. Learn your history and reference what Heinrich Himmler and countless others in history did to promote an individual as a savior. This is a terrible movie. Backing an individual as a savior is cult mentality. It takes the American population as a whole to work together and keep America free.

Feel Good Comedy of the Century!

This is the funniest movie I've ever seen. It makes Dumb and Dumber look like a documentary. If this movie doesn't make you cry laughing, you are dead inside or suffer from brain damage. Well-done. Please be do a sequel. I want to see him impeached so they do a movie on that. Call it American Martyr!

Donald Trump and godliness don't belong in the same sentence, yet this film attempts to enlighten the public with this hypocritical and pious nonsense. Where is the righteous indignation and moral outrage at the mention of Trumpty Dumpty's unabashed sins and his shameless lies? Truly baffling.

Trump takes the storm

The movie is not the best but has some action. Anything that shows Trump in a positive light will bring out the worst in Democrats as they still can not take a loss. A what a loss it was, almost in all states.

This is the sixth movie (out of 930) that I've awarded a single star. It is truly awful.

I should point out that I'm not really a Trump fan and a lapsed Christian. I've always found the Christian support of Trump somewhat puzzling since he seems to me to be one of the least Christian people you could ever wish to meet.

Anyway the film tells the story of a firefighter Mark Taylor who suffering from PTSD has a prophecy that Trump will become president. This is played out through the first part of the movie and there is undoubtedly an interesting story in it. Anyway unfortunately that was ignored in favour of pushing christian and right wing rhetoric. The second half of the film was an uncomfortable watch and I have no doubt many people would struggle to make it to the end of the film. Anyway I did make it to the end of the film, so I'm comfortable with awarding it with 1 star.

Any movie promoting Trump as anointed by God is just bizarre. This was produced by an evangelical university and is just absurd from beginning to end. In attempting to be serious I found it quite humorous and wondering how a Christian based movie can be promoting someone as despicable as Trump

I want everyone to know Im doing this from an unbiased standpoint. Im not looking at this film for or against Donald Trump. Im simply looking at it as a film.

I first heard about this film on Brad Jones Midnight Screenings. He later put it in a Cinema Snob review. It was also featured in God Awful Movies podcast. Naturally I got curious.

So what is The Trump Prophecy? The film claims to be a true story but Im just going to say no to that. Mark Taylor is a firefighter who is about to retire. However he is suffering from PTSD and has night terrors. He starts to dream of a demon who apparently is trying to silence him. His terrors get worse. He seeks professional help. One doctor he goes to puts him on meds. Up until this point this film has just been very boring. Now it gets crazy. Another doctor he goes to shows his wife the journals he made. Apparently he wrote about how God wanted Donald Trump to be elected because he woke up after a demon dream and saw Trump on TV and this was in 2011. The doctors wife actually takes all of this seriously. She call people to get to support Trump for the presidential election. She gets people to have prayer conference calls and blow on rams horns. One scene has her going into a plane bathroom and freaking out the passengers with her prayers. All of this comes off as crazy as it sounds. After the film there is a music video. Just when you think the end credits will come up there is another 20 minutes of movie. Its interviews with people like Michelle Bachman. I was pretty much tuned out by this point.

Basically this film is as insane as it sounds. The film says nothing about why Trump would be a good presidential candidate or why we should vote for him. Just that we should because God wants us to because a guy dreamed about a demon silencing him. This is seriously one of the worst films I have ever seen in my life. Also rumor has it that this film was worked on by Liberty University students who did not want to work of it.

Like a train wreck I had to watch. I feel for people who need some sign or message to carry on in life. Maybe therapy and not prophecy would be a better recommendation. This movie tried and failed.

The power of prayer

This movie showcases just how dangerous the power of prayer can be. Led by a fever dream these people go forth and tell all the other people to chant incantations to white jesus (a bearded sky man who passes judgement on everyone and requires unmitigated devotion from his following) in order to bring about the end of the modern American government. Spurned by the idea that they might be the bad guys in the country they find one man with whom they can rely on to tell them everything they want to hear: donald trump.

A failed rich kid who has relied heavily on his family's generational wealth, his questionable morals and inability to act with tact make him the perfect person to schmooze and mislead these people. Getting them to believe in just about anything he says would be as easy as manipulating their fear in their makebelieve sky daddy.

This movie showcases the herd mentality of the weak minded and how easy it was to dupe an entire group of people to vote for someone who spouted hateful rhetoric disguised as making America great again. The acting is poor but believeable considering the topic, and the script is based VERY loosely on facts.

As far as a dystopian nonfiction movie goes this one is cringeworthy at best and really shows the horrors of what organized religion is capable of.

The Trump Prophecy is the latest in a cottage industry of films concerning bible prophecy.. It's divided in two parts the story about how this fireman is getting all kinds of visions. He puts in his paperwork from his local fire department and gets into the prophecy business. When Donald Trump wins the 2016 election our protagonist is vindicated. America will be great again.

The second part of the film which is there to make sure you got the first part is from various leaders on the religious right whom you can find giving commentary on Christian television. No doubt about it Trump's election was part of God's plan of salvation for America.

I wonder what in his life and his candidacy made our Deity think this was his guy. Calling Elizabeth Warren 'Pocahontas, making fun of that disabled reporter, maybe it was gram 'em by the pussy? My personal favorite was throwing those paper towels out to the Puerto Rican people after the hurricane. We look so good and so great there.

Of course to the hard and fast Christian fundamentalists this will fall on deaf ears. Their Taliban like moral world is being brought about by him and he in turn is plundering the country and the world for the super rich of which he is a member.

I still remember before the election seeing on Christian TV folks like Pat Robertson and Jim Bakker exhorting their followers to save America by voting in Trump. They got their vote out, they always do.

So in The Trump Prophecy we see that his election was foreordained by God himself.

What kind of a dirty trick is that?

No talking dog, but a formula film that fails without trying.

These formula films generally throw in a few gratuitous mentions of God and some sort of heartwarming story. This story has no heart, almost no brain, and the production values of a puppet show that uses rocks instead of actual puppets.

Take 2 hours of your life and do something better with it, like grabbing a nap or pretending to be a statue in some park.

Not even God can give you those 2 wasted hours back. Though you might be successful in forgetting this film. You certainly will try.

Deeper that you think

I believe this movie opened my eyes and a lot of answers. In the movie a backslidden firefighter suffered PTSD. He goes through some things and to keep his sanity he journals. One day he sees Trump on TV before he is even running for President and hears a prophecy"there will be a Trump that rules the nation" He also battles with this demon on about 4 occasions before it enters him and it's never explained. In 1 -2020 I finish the movie with many questions. FF to 7-2020 there is covid 19 death, riots, fear, killings, protest for rights and equality, division, hate and isolation and confusion. I'm on Twitter and someone writes God appoints everyone in office Romans 13:1-2. I search it. I think about God's scriptures where he says he didn't come to bring peace Matthew 10:34 and 35. Then it hits me God allowed Trump in office to carryout his plan through the demon In the prophecy to bring division to see who will love God and not give into this hate this division. Sad that the Christians didn't even like Trump Until this prophecy was told to them and they choose to love Trump. We are moving toward revelation and an ugly time. Now I think it's time to pull him from office and let the next chapter of healing begin go such a time as this.

Relatively interesting

This movie is what you think it is. It is made by Christians for Christians. Those within the Christian community will find on interesting and relevant ireegardless if they like Trump or not. Those outside the community will more than likely not appreciate it.

This was the most preposterous drivel ever made into a film. If I could give it less than 1 star I would ...and I am a Christian who believes in the power of prayer! Give it a wide berth: it isn't even worth the space I'm using to write this review.
