Surprising and predictable at times

I'm subscribed to the director's main channel so I got the notification that he had uploaded a new video. It was considerably longer than his previous work, at about 11 minutes. Like Paresthesia, which was a pretty bland short, this film has no dialogue and follows the traditional format of filmmaking. Unlike Paresthesia, this film actually has somewhat of a plot. It isn't a fully developed plot but it has more of a story than any of Bae's other short films. There was one scene, which I won't spoil, where I felt genuinely tense and on edge. The other scenes were decently shot and had some cool camera angles. One thing I realized while watching was that the camera is obscured by objects. This happens a lot and I think it's a stylistic choice that kind of works. However, An Empty Feeling also has some predictable moments. Despite this, it tackles some important themes like mental health that I think Bae should explore more of in his films. Slightly above average for a YouTube film.
