This uses SciFi as a means to proselytize. It's not a SciFi movie, it's genre is Religion or Christian. The films flaws are evident early on, but I stayed to the end because I was curious as to how many how far the plot would go in terms of proselytizing. It goes far and is not subtle. That said, the plot is confusing and full of contradictions. There's one theme introduced early, time travel. To keep it simple, they introduce one rule: that a change in history can have huge ramifications in the future-this is a well worn theme theme in time travel flicks. However the writers use it when it suits them and ignore it if it doesn't. To make the ridiculous plot work, the writers assume that the changing a historical event doesn't instantly change the time line, but takes while for the cumulative changes to reach the current point of reference. I see the appeal of that idea, but it makes no sense. So the Sci-fi angle is bad. Then there's them main character. His acting is simply BAD. In a scene when he's in anguish over an injured person, the acting is like a high school rehearsal, the filming is amateurish, the sets remind me 1966, Star Trek alien planet sets. I didn't give it a 1 because it did have a couple of messages it obviously intended to convey, and I think they achieved that.
